Marriage Alliance With The Lycan Monarch -
Chapter 39: Spiraling
Chapter 39: Spiraling
"And you, my little wife, are stressing me out to the point I might lose my sanity."
"At least now I can die in peace knowing I can drag out at least one discomfort from you when it comes to me."
"Why do you keep mentioning dying?" Drevon asked with narrowed eyes.
I huffed, turning my gaze away. "You’re not a human who is worried about any single thing killing you." I spared him a look. "You’re a superior being, you do not need to worry about anything, sickness, death, or fear."
That was the one thing I envied about them; it wasn’t fair that their goddess made them so perfect and indomitable.
Drevon sighed, using the handkerchief to clean the corner of my mouth. "We may be superior, Eloise, but even beings like us have things to worry about."
I snorted loudly, so loud it reverberated around the halls like some pig had grunted.
In shock, I slapped a hand on my mouth, shame crawling my skin like spiders.
Drevon’s lips pressed together, sinking slightly inward as he fought a threatening laugh from breaking free, but it was a futile attempt because his body betrayed him and exploded in a fit of laughter.
I punched lightly on his chest when he had not ceased laughing. "Stop it, will you? Stop!"
"Pardon me, but I just wonder how you could conjure such a sound."
"Ugh!" I threw my fist at him, but he caught it.
"Are you trying to strike your husband?"
"No?" I denied. "I was just trying to wipe that smug smirk respectfully from your lips." A hot blush crept on my cheeks. "You heard nothing of that sound."
"What to do, little wife? That sound has been imprinted in my head, one I shan’t forget."
I growled, having the strong urge to scratch his face. But I folded them instead before I did something I’d regret.
Drevon picked me up in his arms. "Time to get you back to your quarters, you need your rest."
"I can walk fine on my own."
"I know that."
"So put me down."
"No."
"Put me down," I politely said, but it was a complete contrast to how I glared daggers at him.
"Have I told you that you look so cute when you’re angry? Your lips pursed out too."
All the gods of the realm!
I choose silence as peace, mostly because I was still embarrassed by the unbecoming sound I made.
We finally made it to my room, but he insisted on dropping me on the bed.
The instant he did, I used the covers to shroud myself as a repellent.
"Ensure she has a warm bath. And her ankles needs to be massaged."
"Yes, my liege." It was Talia who replied.
"Get dinner ready too."
"Yes, my liege," Osha answered.
"Eloise?"
"..."
"Little wife?"
"..."
Somehow, I could feel him smirking. I heard his retreating footsteps followed by the sound of the door closing.
"He’s gone, my lady."
I instantly unveiled myself from the blanket, glaring at the door.
"How did it go?"
I snapped my gaze at Talia, waiting impatiently for my reply.
"I’m still in one piece, aren’t I?" I hissed.
"Certainly so, it went smoothly then."
I groaned, rubbing my forehead. "Or I just made matters worse."
"What?"
I snapped my head up. "I wouldn’t have walked out there alive if it weren’t for the monarch. I think I angered the houses, the Dowager too, and that snake."
"Y-Your life was in d-danger?" Osha asked, worried.
"Oh, Osha, that’s what happens when you’re the only human in Lycan’s domain."
"I-I’ll protect you, Your Grace, do not w-worry."
So far, Osha has been nothing but more sweet...a nervous mess and stuttering all the time, but sweet. It was hard to believe she’s a Lycan sometimes, I just chose to assume she was human, it made me feel better.
But I don’t trust her.
I forced a smile on the surface. "Pardon me, Osha, it’s just the wine speaking, I had too much."
"On an empty stomach?"
I shot Talia a look. "What should I have done then?"
Talia shrugged.
I exhaled, both exhausted and defeated, as I collapsed on the bed.
So far, I consider this night partly a success.

It was cold at night, very cold. The strong wind kept blowing in from the window like a storm was coming.
I thought Talia closed the window.
"Talia?" I called, forcing my body to sit, but I froze when I set my eyes on Drevon, half-naked on my bed, in a lying pose, his elbow sunk into the bed and his head resting on his hand. A tulip stem was held between his teeth.
My eyes almost bulged out of my sockets. "D-Drevon?!"
He took the stem off his teeth. "You finally said my name."
"W-What are you doing here?"
"I’m here to finish what we started?"
"Pardon?"
He crawled to me like a predator stalking his prey.
"W-What are you doing?" I panicked, stretching out my hand. "You better stop or else I’ll—"
He grabbed my hand and pulled me to him. My heart raced painfully, and I found myself paralyzed.
"Don’t look so shocked, little wife." His nose brushed mine. "You cannot stop thinking about me, that’s why I’m here, because you call me."
"Y-You’re wrong, I did not—" I squeaked when my back met the bed, and he was on top.
He raised the tulip for me to see. "Shall we recreate our wedding night?"
Oh dear gods!
"This time I’ll not stop after you cum," he promised as his lips found my ear. "Not until you beg."
I gasped when he grabbed my thigh and hooked my leg to his waist, and I felt his hardened manhood.
Drevon lowered his lips to mine in a heartbeat.
I gasped, flashing my eyes open and sitting up with a start. Talia jumped as the towels she held dropped.
"Why on earth did you wake up that way?" she asked, shaken. "You scared my soul out of me."
I said nothing, just stuck in a time pause, and to wake myself up, I slapped myself.
"My lady!"
I took a breath of relief. "A dream, it was just a dream." I chuckled to myself before clutching my hair and rocking myself back and forth. "It was just a dream," I murmured in a chant.
"Are you okay?"
I stopped rocking myself and veered my gaze to Talia. "I am now."
She didn’t look convinced.
"As long as it was a dream, I’m perfectly fine," I murmured, a wave of ease settling upon me like fresh water.
The doors opened, and Osha rushed in. "G-Good morning, my lady! I-I bring good news!"
"Ah, yes, something good to forget my nightmare. Tell me what it is, Osha?"
She beamed and opened her mouth. "T-The monarch has invited y-you for a walk in the g-gardens!"
My smile dropped. "Then why on earth are you smiling? How is that good news?!" I throw my pillow to the side.
"Forgive her, Osha, she’s just spiraling again, completely normal," Talia said.
Osha, in return, gave a questioning look. "S-Spiraling?"
I collapsed on my bed, thrashing against it.
