Magus Supremacy
Chapter 309 - 309: God of death {GT bonus Chap 2}

"The next match of the day is between Dave and Vince!" Amir's voice echoed through the coliseum.

"Wait, I'm next?!" Vince exclaimed from the underground chamber, his eyes wide with disbelief. Panic surged through him as the muffled announcement from above reached his ears.

"Are you scared?" Jay teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Me? Scared? No! Why would I be scared? I shouldn't be scared—when I have a brother who's been dreaming of ripping me apart, humiliating me, maybe even killing me. And now, boom! He's got the perfect opportunity. So no, I'm not scared!" Vince rambled, though his quivering lips and trembling hands betrayed the truth.

"You shouldn't let this get to you otherwise, you won't be able to fight." Raze said.

"Like hell I want to fight a psycho like Dave!" Vince yelled.

"Where is Vince Walter?!" Amir's voice boomed loudly above them.

"Shit!" Vince mumbled, hands shaking.

"Do you know what I have learnt from us being together for a year?" Raze asked as he stepped forward. His hands about to touch Vince's shoulder when he quickly withdrew it back.

"Wouldn't want to change my magic at the last second." He chuckled before glancing back at Vince with a grin.

"What have you learnt?" Vince asked.

"Me? I haven't learned anything. Just wanted to sound wise for a second," Raze replied with a sheepish scratch of his head.

"I will…" Vince trailed off.

"Vince Walter! Come out now otherwise you will face terrible consequences!" Amir said.

"Is that guy really your dad?" Jay asked.

"Now I'm questioning that." Vince muttered.

"Just go out there before it's too late. If you feel scared, think about Grey. Remember he was also a weakling before he became strong.

And I'm sure he wasn't this strong by cowering away from his opponents. He always faced them head on." Raze said with a warm smile as he raised his two thumbs up towards Vince.

"Thanks. That was quite helpful." Vince said as he took a deep breath and walked forward towards the huge iron gate in front of him. "Wish me luck."

"Good luck." Jay simply said.

"Yeah. Break a head, but try not to lose yours," Raze chuckled.

"Great. Now you've almost shattered my confidence," Vince scoffed as the gate slowly creaked opened with him stepping out to be greeted with thunderous cheers.

'Do these guys know I'm walking into a death match? With my own brother?' Vince sighed internally as he walked forward to see Dave was already on the battlefield.

His arms crossed but a dangerous grin crept on his face.

'Of course he will be eager to fight!' Vince grumbled inwardly.

"I thought you chickened out." Dave sneered.

"Are both fighters ready?" Amir asked and Vince gulped loudly and hard which earned him a chuckle from Dave.

A metal sword formed in Vince's hand, same with Dave.

"Good. Let the third match of the day begin!" Amir declared.

And in a split second, Dave had bolted forward. His metal sword gleaming towards Vince who flimsily raised his own metal sword to meet the metal at the last moment causing a small bang to resound while Vince was seen skidding.

'Crap! Too much strength!' Vince grunted, his arm vibrating from the impact.

*Crack!*

*Shatter!*

His sword fragmented like glass, disintegrating into shards. Dave wasted no time—twenty razor-sharp metal shards erupted from his body, hurtling toward Vince.

"Damn it!" Vince growled, summoning another sword. He charged headfirst into the barrage.

His blade danced—a whirl of calculated motion, cleaving through the oncoming shards. Each clash chipped away at his weapon, but he endured. With a final skid, he landed.

Dave was already upon him.

*Clang!*

A resounding clang rang out as Dave's metal encased fist smashed into Vince's face but unlike what Dave expected, Vince didn't go flying. Instead metal encasing could be seen around his face as a smirk crept onto Vince's face.

A grin crept across Vince's lips. "Shocked? You should be. I'm not the weak Vince you remember!" He roared as he swiftly placed his palm on Dave's abdomen.

And a concentrated shot of mana blasted into Dave's stomach sending his body flying and tumbling on the ground away from Vince.

Before hitting the barrier, he stabbed his sword into the ground, anchoring himself.

"I'm different!" Vince roared as he was seen in front of Dave, metal encased his knees which he used to smash into Dave's face before he could react sending his body tumbling backwards again.

"I'm not a weakling!" Vince cried out as he dashed forward again, metal encased his hands forming a gauntlet which he swung forward towards a rising Dave but…

*Bang!*

Dave's hand lashed out, catching Vince's gauntlet mid-punch. Blood trickled from Dave's nose. His eyes burned with fury.

The gauntlet cracked in his grip. Shattered.

"To me," Dave's voice sounded like a low growl as he slowly stood up while still holding onto Vince's hands his eyes blazing with fury.

"You are still a freaking weakling!" He roared as he slammed a gut wrenching punch into Vince's stomach causing spit to shoot out of his mouth, his body was supposed to go flying but due to Dave holding onto it, he couldn't.

As all he could do was thrash in pain.

"You want to talk about being different? Prove it!" Dave roared as metal encased his other free hand which he swung forward towards Vince's face but it was blocked.

Blocked by Vince's palm which was now covered in metal. Blood trickling down his mouth but his eyes were fierce.

"You know, I was always scared. Scared and terrified of you, your strength and power. Even though you overshadowed me in everything, belittled me, taunted me, bullied and always beat me to the extent I'm half dead, I always still considered you my elder brother.

I still considered you a pillar of strength not until Grey wiped the floor with your face… twice! That was when I knew that you are nobody to fear!" Vince shouted as a metal fist launched from his side.

Dave leapt back, conjuring a metal shield to block the impact.

"That's my boy!" Grey cheered from the stands, hands cupped around his mouth.

Throwing the shield away, Dave was met with the absence of Vince as he was suddenly nowhere to be seen when…

"I learnt this from Scarlet, you are too dense to realize this!" Vince's voice was heard saying from behind Dave before he launched a terrifying punch forward that sent him skidding with blood dripping down his mouth.

"Do you know why I'm suddenly confident that I will defeat you here?" Vince asked. Four metal swords appeared, their tips pointed towards Dave who was slowly rising up.

"Because I have the support of Grey, my friends and my dad! While you, you have none!" He shouted as the swords lunged forward with Dave quickly conjuring a metal shield in front of him absorbing the impact of the attacks that sent him skidding.

The ground cracked with his every move backwards as he grit his teeth in anger.

Lucian watching, suddenly heard a name that perked his ears up.

"Grey? Who's this Grey person?" He asked.

"An impressive second year student that is currently placed as the number one student in his year. He also is the one that didn't participate in the tournament." Amir replied.

"Can I see him?" Lucian asked when Amir waved his hands and a holographic display appeared.

It showed all Grey's information, his description and even a small image of him by the side.

'Huh? The name is what I was told about, but his hair color, it's brown. Could he be the one? Or is this a coincidence?' Lucian wondered inwardly.

When a resounding bang drew their attention back to the fight.

Immediately after blocking the four swords, Vince reappeared again beside Dave. His hands swung forward with a metal gauntlet around it, a small spike protruding out of it.

Dave twisted, dodging, and countered with a sidekick. Vince flew, tumbling.

"Grey, Grey, Grey,Grey! I'm sick and tired of hearing that name!" Dave roared, his hair floating above his shoulders as he glared at Vince who was slowly standing up.

"If Grey was so strong, why isn't he participating in this tournament? Simple, he is so scared of me and the times he beat me, was simply a fluke."

"A fluke you say?" Vince chuckled while holding his side with a single hand, the other hand was held outward as a metal sword began forming in it. "Then tell me about the third time he literally wiped your face on the ground."

"AHHH! That does it!" Dave shouted in anger, his eyes glowing bright white. "Breakthrough!"

*Boom!*

An immense amount of energy burst out to the extent Vince was lifted off his feet and swung back forcefully.

Twitching slightly, Vince managed to stand up to see Dave with a frown on his face, his body glowing soft white and his hair floating above his shoulders.

A testament to the fact that he had breakthrough.

'Crap! This fight might become one sided at this point. I don't know how to breakthrough, how do I handle this?!' Vince thought inwardly as he gripped his metal sword tighter.

"Grey did this, Grey did that. Grey, Grey, Grey! There was a freaking time when I was the top dog after Kael in this academy.

But ever since that accursed child got here, everybody forgot about me totally and began chanting his cursed name!" Dave roared as a hundred metal short spears launched towards Vince at terrifying speed.

"Fuck!" Vince muttered as he swung his sword forward to clash with one spear, a quick pivot to avoid another, a jump, a duck, a metal shield to block another.

A spin to send pure mana to destroy a dozen, a dozen metal spears to destroy more, Vince tried to hold his ground against the hundred metal spears with all the strength he could muster.

Still, one spear tore into his shoulder.

Then another hit his thigh.

He dropped to a knee, panting.

"Damn it! This is going too far." Someone in the crowd mumbled.

"Hey! Someone stop Dave before he goes too far."

"Wait! Didn't Amir say that there were some mages in the arena?"

"Right! If they don't see this as going too far, then that means something is definitely wrong."

Just as the crowd had suspected, something was wrong as Amir himself had instructed them not to move no matter what happened.

"Crap! Vince might die at this rate." Raze who was watching the holographic display show what was going on in the arena muttered.

"I'm starting to think that our words of him dying might finally come through." Jay said as he tightly clenched his hands.

Those at the clinic who were now conscious and were watching the holographic display were now scared.

"Damn it! I need to get out there now." Scarlet said as she had long regained her consciousness to cheer Vince on in the clinic but now, the tables were turned.

"Shit! I can't sit here too." Greg said as he tried to get up but both of them fell back on their beds weakly. "M.. my mana is gone."

"I don't even have strength to move. Damn it!" Scarlet cursed in anger as she could do nothing but keep on watching in fright.

Meanwhile, back at the arena, Vince was still getting battered. Metal spears lunged in different parts of his body but nowhere vital as Vince still kept fighting against them until he could do nothing no more.

He knelt down, the metal spears now disappeared but holes were seen in almost all parts of his body dripping blood but with all these, he was still very much conscious as Dave had purposely avoided anywhere vital.

"Do you know something? I wanted to kill you for so long for being a weak and useless brother to me but there was no chance to.

Because our idiotic father didn't want me to cross the line. Thankfully, the opportunity has presented itself." Dave silently whispered towards Vince who just now just a metre away from him.

"Do…do you know why I'm no longer scared of you?" Vince asked as he smirked at Dave while slowly standing up.

He fell to his knees but still managed to get back up with a smile on his face. "Because I know that you have been putting me down on purpose. You don't want me to grow beyond you and that's why you planted this thought of me being weak in my head.

But the truth is, I'm not weak, you are just jealous, just insecure and you are a failure to elder siblings out in the world!"

"Wh…what did you say?" Dave asked, his eyes twitching, his hands clenched.

"That's right! I went to Grey's hometown. The way he treated his younger sister was so loving that I wished you had treated me the same way. But who was I kidding? You are just a self-centered, heartless and useless brother!" Vince roared in anger.

"Is that what you think of me?" Dave asked, his voice low and somewhat somber before he lifted his head up to glance at Vince with a smirk on his face the next second.

"Too bad that I don't freaking care about what you think of me! And since you consider me useless, you might as well die!" Dave said, his hands raised above his head and instantly, two hundred metal swords appeared in the sky.

"Wait, this is not what I planned for." Amir said as he sat at the edge of his seat. "Crap! This has gone out of hands."

"Dave! Are you crazy?" Lucian shouted down the green floating crystal projecting his voice out.

"Crazy? Yes, I think I am." Dave said, his head held down before he lifted it up. The white in his eyes glowing fiercely.

"And you!" He roared glancing at Vince. "You revere Grey so much, but where is he to save you? Nowhere! So just die!"

With a swing of his hands down, the two hundred swords shot forward at blinding speed towards Vince who instinctively closed his eyes in fright.

'Is… I… is this the end? Death by my elder brother's hand? So pathetic!' Vince thought.

"Damn it! Dave you stupid son of mine, what do you think you are doing?" Amir cried out as he tried to move when a deafening bang that shook the whole coliseum rang out.

It felt like thunder from the heavens had descended and it wasn't wrong to think so as the barrier that surrounded the whole coliseum shattered.

Lightning from above rained down heavily destroying the whole two hundred swords in an instant while standing in front of Vince, was a young individual.

His body glowing with white intensity and sparks of lightning were shooting out so hard that it looked to be reflecting the individual's anger.

His brown hair was now reverting back to its original state right from the tip and to the base showing his bright crimson hair that was floating above his shoulders while his pitch white eyes that had sparks of lightning dancing around them glared at Dave.

"You called for me? Here I am. Your death is here." Grey said, his voice low, threatening and deadly.
