Chapter 251: Episode 92 "The Tail

Hanmosidun City lit up with lights, the tiny gleam emerging from the stone buildings made this city appear like a small town on the surface. Unlike the Dark Elves, the Gray Dwarves don’t detest bright lights; when they want to appreciate colors, they will light up these flames.

However, there is another saying that these lights are intentionally lit by the Gray Dwarves to distinguish themselves from the Dark Elves. This way, travelers from the Underworld gather in this city like moths to a flame. The Gray Dwarves use this opportunity to promote their goods or "entertain" these wealthy merchant caravans with their unique methods.

Indeed, this illumination signifies Hanmosidun City’s status as a trading city, at least in terms of weapons and ores, it does not fall short of Ratris City. Sometimes, even the Dark Elves come to this city, especially when they want to purchase the finest goods.

Lynch was waiting for the Drow coming from Ratris City. These Dark Elves had already been captured in Lynch’s gaze. They were fully armed, yet they purposely covered their weapons with cloaks. Judging from the route these Dark Elves were taking, the Red Mushroom Hotel was undoubtedly their target.

As long as Lynch remained vigilant, the possibility of being sneak attacked was close to zero. Neither Stealth nor Invisibility could escape the observation of the Eye of Insight, which is a capability all Mages long for.

Currently, only Lynch’s mentor Caso and Lynch himself, possessing these eyes, knew how to attain such an ability. The Mage Association had been demanding both to reveal the secret, even offering generous rewards, but neither had uttered a single word. Merely for an ability that allows the continuation of thought during sleep, Lynch abandoned the right to dream for life; naturally, the much more powerful Eye of Insight would require an immense price to obtain.

At least, no current Great Mage could afford such a cost.

Lynch cast the simplest Mirror Image Technique on himself, his position immediately shrouded by ever-changing phantoms, each as indistinguishable from Lynch himself. Then Lynch said, "Come out, hiding is pointless."

The empty street allowed Lynch’s otherwise soft voice to remain clearly audible.

No Drow replied to him. This group of assassins would never act according to their enemy’s pace; they had long been prepared to attack Lynch’s group all at once. Thus there was naturally no need to stupidly reveal themselves just because of a few words from a Mage.

Lynch sighed, feeling that the intelligence of these assassins was undoubtedly questionable, allowing a Mage to retain the upper hand without launching an assault. Since this was the case, he naturally appreciated their kindness.

"Since you won’t come out, then I’ll make my move." Lynch said with a smile. After speaking, his figure vanished into thin air.

Those discussing inside suddenly heard a deafening explosion, the flash of flames was clearly visible even in the Gray Dwarves’ city. Silver lightning shot into the sky from nearby, mixed with crackling explosions, resembling fireworks illuminating everyone’s eyes.

"Not good! It must be Lynch!" Deluo had seen this kind of lightning many times. He grabbed the last map on the table and dashed out of the room.

In just a short time, few remained in the room. Little Soka wanted to fly out the window to see, but was held back by Zilvra.

"Sister Zilvra, let me go look!" Soka said, "I can heal people."

"No need, you’ll only get in the way if you go." Zilvra said while pressing Soka into the chair to keep her seated, "Since Lynch decided to go alone, he is confident enough to win without our help."

"Soka, don’t you know how powerful that Mage is?" Zilvra patted the little angel’s head.

Lynch indeed did not disappoint Zilvra’s trust, already taking out two attackers. Although two Priestesses consistently tried to suppress Lynch’s spells, how could a Mage with the advantage allow them to succeed? The Priestesses of the Spider Goddess planned to use "Dispel Magic" to nullify all the Mage’s attacks, but in this spell duel, Lynch, supported by the Magic Origin Power, was clearly at an absolute advantage.
