Chapter 199: Episode 72 Double Battle_3
"Soka, can you still dispel the evil spirits?" Lynch stroked the angel’s soft, fluffy golden hair, "This time, give it your all!"
"Hmph! We shall meet again!" The red mist heard the mage’s words and quickly retreated. He caught sight of the Prophetic God Staff discarded nearby, crafted from Iron Wood. Though few in number, the immense energy inherent in the divine artifact was an excellent vessel for the red mist to possess. The transformed Finder laughed a few times and suddenly dove into the magic wand. The Prophetic God Staff floated in mid-air, delivering the red mist’s final words to the mage: "The next time we meet, I won’t be in this form anymore! You mages, prepare for your doom! Ha! Haha!"
The Prophetic God Staff swiftly flew away from the Black Crystal Tower, away from Ratris City, entering the complex passage world of the Underdark.
Lynch dropped a scroll, the slightly yellowed parchment unfurling on the ground, with not a word on it. He used the Eye of Insight to watch the Prophetic God Staff leave until it vanished from his field of vision.
Soka blew into her cold palms continuously until blue light gathered again. Excitedly, she ran to Lynch’s side: "Black-robed brother! Look! Quick, look! I can heal you again!"

In the sewers of Ratris City, Deluo and his party were advancing cautiously. Nimo and Stonelimb were at the forefront, holding torches, the flickering light casting twisted shadows on the winding sewer walls. Behind them followed a group of people, the entire adventurer squad, along with two beautiful human women.
At Deluo’s request, both women had covered their faces with veils, walking somewhat reluctantly through the filthy passages, occasionally exclaiming at the stains splashed on their clothes. But under Deluo’s stern warning, they obediently closed their mouths, lifting the hems of their skirts and tramping through the black foul mud.
The Halfling Wandering William hid in the shadows, as if birthed from the darkness itself, seamlessly blending with the Underworld’s backdrop, so much so that even his companions couldn’t find him. Just before a corner, he suddenly leaped out from the shadows, making quick hand signals to notify everyone that an enemy had been spotted ahead.
"There’s only one enemy, but he walks so quietly, he’s almost undetectable!" William whispered to everyone at the front.
Deluo and the barbarian drew their weapons, while Stonelimb and the Dwarf Nimo picked up crossbows, and the remaining combatants raised shields to protect the obviously defenseless women.
The two torches were pressed into the dirt and extinguished, and Deluo put on the night vision goggles Lynch had given him. The Half-Beastman and Dwarf had natural Dark Vision, and the darkness here was commonplace for them. Only Halfling William cursed silently, lacking both Dark Vision and appropriate equipment, he chose to merge into the shadows; while he couldn’t see the enemy, the enemy also couldn’t detect him.
From around the corner came the torchlight, getting closer and closer. Ahead of Deluo and his party, a shadow of a robed person was cast on the wall not far away. Everyone gripped their weapons tightly, not particularly worried, since the opponent was alone, and even as powerful as Lynch, it’s impossible to escape unharmed from an attack by so many.
The torchlight drew nearer, finally appearing in everyone’s view. A human holding the Eternal Bright Flame stopped in his tracks, surveying the team before him.
What Deluo and his party didn’t know was that the human in front of them was Regula, the current Martial Arts Master of the top family. He smiled, using the torchlight to observe the strong warrior Deluo and the muscular Half-Beastman.
"We don’t intend to block your path, we bear no malice." Dwarf Stonelimb spoke fluently in Underground Common Language and then repeated in Dark Elf Language.
"Yes, I believe so too." Regula’s raspy voice echoed in the underground conduit, accompanied by a chuckling laugh, he said: "But I’ve recently encountered some frustrations, and was just looking for some unfortunate souls to vent on. You came just in time."
Though he claimed to bear no malice, Stonelimb never planned to let this human go; his secret hideout mustn’t be known to any outsiders. As Regula spoke, the crossbow in his hand silently launched an arrow. This custom-modified crossbow made not a sound when fired, perfect for a sudden attack.
