Chapter 153: Episode 53 Temple (6)_2

"The winds of the world gather, endless power converges, coming from the Abyss Hell, originating from the Holy Mountain Heavenly Realm."

"Arcane power descends, all bow in submission, absolute defense, left hand! Left arm!"

Lynch trembled violently all over, as a plume of smoke appeared out of thin air at his feet, rising upwards, causing the corners of the mage’s robe to flutter constantly. His body sometimes emitted light, like the sun burning before his eyes; at other times it turned to darkness, as if gazing into the lightless depths of the abyss. Lynch lowered his head, looking at nothing. Yet no one could deny the power surging from him now, an oppressive power.

The Witch Demon looked in astonishment at the human mage still standing, who could use two absolutely opposing Holy Words simultaneously, with the most sacred blessing and the most venomous curse appearing at the same time from one mouth. Though the mage appeared muddleheaded, unable to control himself, the pressure emanating from him even surpassed the spell just cast by the female Dark Elf.

And this pressure was even more concentrated, condensing on one point, which was the Witch Demon’s body. The Witch Demon was still striving to absorb the spell power of Batana, struggling to hold its form, not retreating a single step. If only it could complete...

Lynch’s lightning finally found a gap in the confrontation of these two powers, seizing a moment to release its explosive power.

The sudden change completely threw the Witch Demon off balance. The three forces clashed, instantly toppling this powerful undead being to the ground. From its right hand burst forth a dazzling light, akin to a rainbow exploding suddenly, hurling a chaotic array of colors into the air. This was not a beautiful scene, but an extremely dangerous situation. Each band of rainbow color represented a different spell effect, each light beam accompanied by deadly danger.

Under this suddenly appearing blinding light, all the Dark Elves—those who could still move—screamed in agony. They fell to the ground, clutching their eyes and wailing.

The rainbow’s light shot towards Lynch. Yet he kept his head down, as if unaware of the changing surroundings. The light band, like a wild horse off its rein, passed over the fallen Dark Elf Matriarch, arriving in front of the mage.

Lynch suddenly raised his left hand, and the smoke around him vanished without a trace like it was blown away by a fierce wind. A silver Light Sphere appeared in front of his arm, the characters on the sphere rotating quickly, stirring the rainbow energy back together, like an infinitely absorbent void from which no power could escape. The rainbow colors returned to ordinary bright light, the small silver orb absorbing all these lights.

In no time, the cave was once again engulfed in darkness, and peace was restored. Lynch’s body tilted, and he collapsed softly to the ground. It seemed as if he had suddenly lost all support, no longer having the strength to resist the pull of gravity. Zilvra exclaimed in shock, rushing in from a corner outside, supporting the fallen mage. She placed her fingers below Lynch’s nose, feeling the mage’s weak but continuous breathing, and finally sighed in relief.

Now, apart from her, nothing was standing in the entire cave. The confrontation that just occurred took only an instant, but it seemed to have spanned millennia, exhausting everyone’s heart power.

No! There was still one person who stood up.

Zarra clung to the wall, struggling to pull her heavy body up from the ground. She wiped away the blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, then touched her shoulder.

With a gentle press of her fingers, the full-body armor of the Dark Elf, which had been tightly encasing her form, instantly fell off, clattering to the ground. Beneath the heavy armor lay another layer of chain armor. Even after the battle with the Witch Demon and the subsequent massive shock, the Dark Elf had managed to avoid significant damage thanks to this dual-layer protection. Her body was now bruised and battered, with blood pooling beneath her dark skin, causing her entire body to sting painfully, yet she still had the strength to stand.

Zarra surveyed the entire cave, unsure of what had caused the explosion earlier, but she saw the Witch Demon blown away by the blast; the Matron fell; even the always-surprising human mage was exhausted. Now, except for that ignorant half-blooded sister, no one could stop her! No one could stop her from becoming the new Matriarch!
