She quickly jumped backward and used her spell to recreate her ice sword but before she could strike Ethan was already on her again.

Both of their sword met and once again Ethan shattered both of her swords making her jump backward but Ethan wasn’t going to let this chance go to waste and he charged forward.

[Ice wall, Ice spikes]

Isabella created an ice wall in front of herself and from the wall sharp spikes of ice were created but before they shot forward Ethan braced himself.

[Fire cloak]

Ethan’s cloak melted all the ice spike and he slashed the wall in half while his cloak did the rest making the wall crumble and quickly he undid the flame spell.

Isabella knew her swords were useless in front of Ethan so she quickly moved backward to create more space between them but Ethan knew what she wanted and dashed towards her.

"Haaa..." Isabella placed her hands on the ground and a large spike of ice was created from the ground towards Ethan.

Ethan quickly stopped and jumped backward to avoid the ice creating space between them.

He stopped as Isabella’s hands were already on the ground so Ethan couldn’t make any careless movement.

(I didn’t know you were this good at fighting, you are definitely going to pass the test, but only if you fight like this)

’She created space again, I can’t get close, what should I do, since she isn’t attacking I’m sure she doesn’t want to create a fog’

Ethan quickly jumped to the right falling on the snow, immediately he stood up and a spike created from ice was behind him.

"Whaat!! Is he a sensory mage, how the hell, I can’t believe a male is this powerful, I can’t beat him in close combat and if it isn’t for master’s ice he would have the advantage with his flame and wind" Isabella was angry.

"Stop, duel is over, Ethan wins" Selena shouted as she stood up from her seat.

"But he didn’t win, I still have tons of things to do" Isabella shouted.

"The match is decided, I thought you were going to get him from behind but I didn’t know he had otherworldly instincts, how were you able to sense the spell" Selena asked Ethan.

"Just lucky" Ethan spoke as he walked towards her.

Ethan looked at Isabella and she was furious, mostly because she was clearly beaten and by a male no less, she couldn’t believe she was beaten by a male.

"Before we leave I want both of you to face me," Selena said.

"Huh!"

"You want us to fight you in a duel, I accept" Isabella quickly spoke, she had been asking her master to duel with her but every time Selena refused.

"Are you sure, I saw one of her spells and it was really bad, and besides we are in her domain" Ethan said to Isabella.

"Don’t worry, no spells, both of you should use swords and I’ll use my bare hands, no spells" Selena spoke.

"Okay then," Isabella said as she created two swords from ice and moved backward, Ethan asli moved backward holding his sword tightly.

"Start" Selena spoke as she walked forward.

"She’s really strong so we should work together to land a solid hit, since your weapon is stronger I’ll distract her, oh and don’t use your flames, she likes flame" Isabella spoke as she dashed forward and Ethan followed her.

(What does she mean by she likes flame?)

’She’s a dragon so it’s possible she has a spell to absorb flame, or maybe her skin can absorb flame’

Selena took a stance as Isabella was a few steps away with Ethan behind.

Isabella used all her strength to strike as soon as she was in range but Selena blocked her sword with her hands, Isabella retracted her sword and struck again with even more force but still her attack was blocked once again.

Ethan had gone around her and from behind he struck but Selena dodged the attack and before any of them could make a move Selena pushed Isabella a few meters away and landed a soft punch on Ethan’s stomach taking the air out of him before collecting his sword from his hand.

Selena plunged the sword into the ground and immediately it was covered in ice and vanished.

"Are you guys done?" Selena asked as Isabella stood up dusting the snow from her body.

"My sword!!"

"Don’t worry, I’ll give it to you after the duel, this is training and your opponent won’t give you time to pick your sword or time to sit on the ground whining so stand up" Selena shouted as she moved backward to give them a little space.

"Here" Isabella handed one of her Iceswordsd to Ethan and made a new one for herself, the sword was really cold coupled with the terrain but Ethan warmed himself with his spells so now that spells were not allowed he was definitely going to feel the cold.

"Okay, since you are ready..." Selena muttered as she dashed forward this time.

"Shit..." Ethan shouted as he quickly swung his sword towards her legs while Isabella swung hers towards her face.

Both of the swords landed a hit on her body but made no difference as it felt like they landed on hard steel then Ethan noticed a scale like barrier covering her skin and both of them jumped backward immediately.
