The four of them walked into the dining hall and grabbed plates, this time the elf was in front serving the food, and a smile formed on her face as soon as she saw Ethan.

The rest of the girls got their serving and just like the first time Ethan was given extra of everything, the elf girl kept smiling at Ethan but he didn’t look at her face till he got to his table.

He knew what she wanted, he wanted the same thing but this night wasn’t the time, if he exhaust himself again he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the training and he wasn’t sure if he could go two days without getting in trouble.

All four of them sat down to eat and before they could start eating Martha and Freya joined them.

"Hi," both of them spoke as they took chairs and joined them.

"I’m going to challenge you tomorrow" Isabella muttered as soon as Freya sat down.

"Oh, then I’ll be ready, I’m also planning to challenge Edith for the top place" Freya muttered.

Ethan sat there watching as the girls all talked about rankings, now he was angry about being at rank 80, before he would be able to challenge any of them, he must have fought through tons of other students before getting there, and he wasn’t even sure he would be able to defeat them.

"Martha what about you?" Ethan asked.

"Oh, I’m a healer so I don’t need to participate in the duels, I can if I want to, but I don’t want to, I’ll just focus on healing and sensory magic" Martha spoke.

"So Ethan, what happened during training, you collapsed all of a sudden, and you use a sword so I’m sure the training was easy for you?" Freya asked.

"I was just tired that’s all, I didn’t sleep throughout the night, I even saw Edith training during the night" Ethan muttered.

"You saw Edith training, so you were training all night, that’s why you were so tired?" Isabella asked.

"Yes, that’s why" Ethan chuckled slightly as he spoke.

A few students were inside the dining hall and mumbling amongst themselves while glancing at their table, Ethan couldn’t tell what they were saying but he knew they were the topic of conversation.

After dinner, the students walked towards their dorm but Ethan moved away without any of them knowing and walked to the other part of the academy where the library was.

If the girls knew he was coming here then they would tag along and a library is supposed to be quiet but with the girls with him, Ethan knew that was impossible.

The door to the library was opened and Ethan walked through, tons of crystals were hanging around making the library super bright and as Ethan walked inside, a lady stood behind the counter reading a book without paying attention to anything around her.

Ethan proceeded to look around the large library, the ground floor contained only a few shelves with ordinary books, some of which were written by past mages or scholars.

But a staircase led to the upper floors which Ethan could see contained tons of shelves, and he wouldn’t be able to search through all of them so he walked back to the counter.

"Hi," Ethan muttered.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The lady asked without looking at Ethan.

"I’m looking for history books, world history, history of all the kingdoms, something like that" Ethan spoke.

"History books are on the first floor, aren’t you supposed to be familiar with history, they are taught to all families, sorry noble families" the lady muttered and then moved her book away to look at the person in front of her which turned out to be a boy.

"Thanks" Ethan spoke as he turned around and walked towards the stairs.

Since history books are on the first floor, that was his target, first, he was going to check the history of the world and the kingdoms, and everything he could.

(That attendant is rude, we should teach her a lesson)

’What!!’ Ethan’s eyes opened as he looked around, ’Why the hell did you shout my name like that’

(Because you are already sleeping, go back to your room, and try to come when the sun is still out)

’I’m not sleeping, I’m merely meditating on what I read’ Ethan muttered as he stood up.

Ethan yawned and dropped the book back on the shelf, he didn’t read the book for a minute before falling asleep.

Ethan walked downstairs and the lady behind the counter was still absorbed in the book she was reading when he left.
