Watching the slowly closing car door, Iris Harris couldn’t quite explain how she felt inside, as if she had suddenly fallen from a beautiful dream into reality, leaving her completely dazed.

The weather was gloomy, seeming like it was about to rain, and the air was a bit chilly. Iris watched as Brandan Hyde’s car turned around and sped away.

Looking at the darkened screen, Iris let out a powerless, bitter laugh.

Brandan Hyde went to the hotel, packed some of Viola Harris’s favorite dishes, and then headed to the city center hospital.

Right as he got out of the car, there was a rumble in the sky, and a torrential downpour poured out from the densely clouded sky.

Brandan carried the food box, he didn’t know what he thought of, but his brows furrowed slightly before he proceeded to Viola Harris’s hospital room.

Viola Harris, wearing a hospital gown and sitting on the hospital bed, was playing a game on her phone. Seeing Brandan arrive, she joyfully ran over and grabbed his arm, "Brandan, you’re here!"

Brandan glanced at Viola Harris; her face was made up, showing no signs of fever, and the image of Iris Harris flashed in his mind. Compared to Viola, Iris looked more like the patient.
