Chapter 216 You Should Find a Police Uncle
Chapter 216: Chapter 216 You Should Find a Police Uncle
Yun Yue poked her head out of the window and fired a shot at the tire of the car behind them with her left hand.
The car immediately lost control, its brakes screeching, although they didn’t plan to stop. After steadying the steering wheel, they followed again.
Bang!
The enemy fired a shot towards them, aiming to blow Xiao Bai’s head off. As he swerved left and right on the narrow road, dodging bullets, she would have been thrown out if she hadn’t been holding on tight.
"Boss, I’m sorry, I can’t afford to pay for this car!" He cried, vowing never to act recklessly again.
Yun Yue glanced at the map display and spoke quietly, "It’s too late, there’s a sharp turn ahead, and without brakes, this car will definitely be wrecked."
Almost a ninety-degree turn—they either had to stop now, or drive straight into the sea.
"Move to the side, use resistance to slow down, or we’re both dead!"
She squinted her calm and collected eyes, moving from the passenger seat to the back left seat in case they needed to jump out.
Xiao Bai clenched his teeth, steering right, hugging the mountain rocks tightly, slowing the car from two hundred kilometers per hour to one hundred.
His heart bled; his savings were gone.
Finally, the car stopped at the edge of a cliff, both of them instinctively exhaling.
Seeing the car behind accelerate towards them.
"Jump!" Yun Yue shouted.
At the critical moment, both of them jumped out without hesitation. She rolled twice on the ground to stabilize herself, while Xiao Bai hung from the cliff, gripping a small sapling desperately.
The car, propelled by momentum, plummeted off the cliff, crashing loudly into pieces.
"That was close." He looked down at the wrecked car, secretly relieved that he jumped quickly—a second later and he would’ve met King Yan.
She couldn’t attend to Xiao Bai, as the two men from the car were already out, each holding a gun pointed at them.
"Boss, I’m temporarily safe, deal with those two first then rescue me." He held onto the sapling, not daring to move an inch, fearing a slight shake would send him plummeting.
While not gangsters, those two men had clearly been trained and possessed some skills.
They were momentarily surprised that their targets had survived, but quickly their faces turned vicious.
As they fired in her direction, she, with a cold and delicate face, deftly dodged and simultaneously pulled the trigger, shooting with calm precision.
Underestimating their opponents, each man was hit. As they were distracted by the pain and screaming, Yun Yue swiftly approached and kicked them directly in the neck with her slender leg, eliciting a horrified look on their faces—a cold sweat broke out on their backs.
This—was she really a normal high school girl?
Even assassins didn’t have such skills!
They had no time to react, only feeling a pain in their necks before passing out.
Yun Yue landed steadily, her eyes rimmed with sinister and terrible blood-lust.
Her piercing gaze briefly swept over the two men on the ground, then she turned and walked to the edge of the cliff where jagged rocks and deep waters awaited below.
"Come up." She extended her slender, pale arm, her voice cold, her arms scraped and in places, large patches of skin were missing, the wounds stuffed with dirt and pebbles—a shocking sight.
Blood ran down her arm, seemingly unnoticed by her—her expression remained cold and defiant.
With one strong pull, Xiao Bai landed safely. His injuries were slightly less severe than hers, probably from when she jumped out of the car.
With a penchant for cleanliness, he dusted himself off, cursing, "Damn it! All these years in the underworld, and it’s my first time being pursued by outsiders! Who the hell did not see this coming!"
Yun Yue shot him a glance, looked around, and finally raised her sharp chin in one direction.
Xiao Bai turned his head and immediately picked up a phone, thick as a brick, from the ground, handing it to her with an embarrassed smile.
Taking the phone, she lowered her lashes, her cold face unreadable.
"Boss, what’s going on?" he couldn’t help but ask.
Yun Yue looked up, her eyes tinged with blood, and her expression cold, "What would you do if someone was trying to kill you?"
Xiao Bai made a throat-slitting gesture, indignantly saying, "Of course, I’d take them down!"
As if daring to chase after them wasn’t already asking for trouble!
"Wrong!" She said sternly, leaving Xiao Bai utterly confused.
"Wrong? What’s wrong?" he tilted his head. Wasn’t this their usual style?
"You should call the police! Find a police officer!"
Xiao Bai: "..."
By the time the police arrived, he’d be long dead, better to handle it himself.
"Did you learn nothing in elementary school? Don’t you even know this basic common sense?" Yun Yue looked at him disdainfully and dialed the emergency number.
"Hello, I want to report a murder attempt, the other party has a gun...I’m fine...they’re down now..."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and Xiao Bai faintly heard "Miss, this is an emergency line, not a place for jokes..."
"Pfft! Hahaha! I’m dying of laughter!" Xiao Bai clutched his stomach and laughed.
It was the first time he’d seen someone report to the police like this, no wonder they’d think she was making trouble!
He immediately shut his mouth when he caught her gaze.
The police had already hung up, and when she called back, the person directly said, "Miss, stop this nonsense, or we’ll have to arrest you."
Yun Yue simply hung up, annoyed at herself for even thinking calling the police was a good idea.
Average police wouldn’t handle such matters, so she looked up Fu Pan’s number in her contacts, which Xiao Chen had previously told her to call in case of danger.
"I’m Yun Yue."
There was a pause on the other line before Fu Pan stood up, his expression earnest, "Miss Yun, what can I do for you?"
Young Master Xiao was in Beijing, he had specifically instructed him to take calls from Yun Yue and ensure her safety.
Yun Yue briefly described the situation, setting off alarm bells in Fu Pan’s heart.
"Alright, I’m on my way." He hung up and rushed out, "Ah Chen, locate this phone’s position immediately."
Ah Chen received a phone number and began the location trace.
A policeman at the phone stood up as he watched Fu Pan hurry out, "Captain Fu, someone just called saying they were being chased and had knocked their pursuer out."
Fu Pan: "..."
The description matched exactly what Miss Yun had said.
"And then?" he asked coldly.
The policeman with a sense of justice said, "Then I hung up. It was clearly a prank."
"..."
Captain Fu bitterly wished to smack him with his shoe, gnashing his teeth, "We’ll settle this later!"
It was almost a disaster!
Fortunately, Miss Yun knew his number and what a relief he had taken that call, otherwise, if something had happened to her, Lan City would have turned upside down!
The policeman felt a chill at his neck, an inexplicable panic arising, was the call actually real?
He brought several police cars, all filled with SWAT, leaving everyone at the police station astonished.
"Who is Captain Fu taking such a big squad to catch?"
"I have no idea! He just took his team and left in a rush right after the call. Honestly, even when we caught Black Dragon, it wasn’t with such a grand display."
