The female colleague to her right also handed over her mug, more politely than the one on her left, “I’ll have lemon water. I’m not fussy, just lemon water will do. Thanks.”

Having previously worked at the Radio Station, Enna knew that the larger the company, the more pronounced the hierarchical divide. In addition to the gap between leaders and general staff, there was also a distinction between newcomers and veterans.

The man was roughly six feet tall, and while his height and build couldn’t compare to Baron Lawrence, he still gave off a very nice impression, suited and booted, clearly a business elite. Besides that, his eyes were particularly captivating. Typically, men who work in big companies tend to wear glasses or appear haggard due to the pressures and workloads. He had none of that, his eyes were bright and clear, exceptionally so.

Although Enna knew the man was definitely not just three years old, his eyes surprisingly had the clarity of someone around twenty.

They had a youthful vibe.

As Enna was still wondering which supportive colleague he was, she overheard the two female colleagues who had asked for her help addressing him with respect, “Director.”

Director?!

Enna really hadn’t linked him to a Director at all.

She assumed that anyone who could snag a Director position at the Lawrence Headquarters would have to be at least in their forties, but this man didn’t look anywhere near that age.

She had thought he was at most a team leader of some sort.

“Hmm, let the others know to get ready, I’ll have a morning meeting with you all after I finish the one upstairs,” Kingston Howard instructed naturally.

Although young-looking, his words carried weight.

The two female colleagues immediately responded, “Okay, Director.”

Kingston turned to leave, and just as he was about to, he turned back to look at Enna, who was still frozen in place, “You, come to my office.”

After speaking, he turned and led the way.

Enna followed behind him, unsure if it was just her imagination earlier, but she felt that the Director’s demeanor towards her was quite friendly, definitely more so than the two female colleagues before. But she had never met this Director before, was it possible that the Old Master had briefed him in advance?
