Chapter 62: MOVED BEDSTAND
Chapter 62: MOVED BEDSTAND
[MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: SEX SOUNDS ~ LILTJAY]
Kitanna held the box of food closely to her chest; her gaze didn’t drop for a moment. She continued to stare at the person in front of her. From outside the room was so dark that she believed nobody was inside.
"W--what are you doing in the dark?" Kitanna asked after she finally found her voice.
Nix moved his body forward, his head moved to the side as he watched every emotion that passed Kitanna’s face. He moved his eyes to her hand and caught sight of the box. If he didn’t know better, he would have said the princess was planning on escaping from the palace with the way she was dressed.
Nix sighed and stood up from his chair, his strides walking casually to stand in front of Kitanna. His face still held no expression at all.
"What are you doing outside of your room, Princess?" Nix asked, his voice steeper than usual.
Kitanna felt her eyes go hazy at the sound of his voice. She had practiced how to speak her mind anytime she was in front of Nix. But at the sound of his voice and his steady gaze, her whole resolve came crashing in front of her eyes. Kitanna inhaled gently.
She opened her mouth to talk, but she remembered the question she was asked. What was she doing outside her room? And that was a very important question; why did she even leave her room? Nix had promised he would come see her, not the other way round. And he didn’t even say what would happen if he did come; why did her imagination run wilder and bring her to his doorstep? What if Nix meant he would come to see her, to tell her that he had someone he was in love with? Kitanna bit her inner cheeks in embarrassment. It only got worse. Why did she always end up disgracing herself in front of this man? She asked herself mentally.
Nix didn’t move from his position; his eyes were still on the princess who did little in hiding the emotions that were running through her mind with her facial expressions.
Kitanna looked around the room; she needed to lie with something. She had embarrassed herself enough; she couldn’t tell Nix she was waiting for him because he promised to come see her, and when he didn’t, she decided to come by herself. Kitanna prompted to tell him she was sleepwalking, but then she looked at herself. She was fully dressed and even carrying a box of food; where in the world of sleepwalkers do they dress this properly? Kitanna sighed; she was no worse than Bareea who said the same lie a moment ago.
A thought passed Kitanna’s mind, and her eyes flashed excitedly. She raised the box that was on her hand.
"This, I came to drop your food. I am the maid assigned to serve you tonight." It was already too late for Kitanna to take back her words. It sounded very okay when it was in her mind, but saying it out loud had a whole different meaning.
Nix raised his brows at her words; his eyes moved to look at the box then back at the princess whose cheeks were now burning more than Trinidad chili pepper.
"Then get on with your service." Nix moved back making way for her to move.
Kitanna exhaled quietly; she moved the box of food to the table and placed it, setting the packaged food slowly. She dropped the kimchi, bean sprout, beef soup, rice, and other side dishes. When she was done, she moved aside.
Nix didn’t look at the table; his eyes were glued to the princess. "Is that what they told you about serving me? If so, you were misinformed, palace maid Kitanna." He said, a corner of his lips moving up.
Kitanna rubbed her hair awkwardly; she heard stories before now about Nix. But was he also expecting her to throw her body on him? Yes, she liked him, and as much as she felt something tie below her stomach every time they made contact, she couldn’t just do it freely with him because she was not just any maid. She is a princess.
The silence grew heavier with every passing second; the blush on Kitanna’s face burned more than the candle lights. After a few seconds, she finally decided to save her face by telling the truth.
"You told me if I acted right without getting into trouble, I would be the first person you would come to see when you returned. I waited for you. So..." Kitanna’s voice trailed.
"And did you not get into trouble?" Nix asked, his hands moving over the candle flames casually.
Kitanna followed the movement of his hands; he kept playing with the fire. And when it tried to burn him, he twirled his fingers.
"I did not get into trouble," Kitanna answered meekly. This was a part of her that she never knew existed. She was supposed to be a strong princess for crying out loud.
"Then what are you doing alone in a man’s room, at this ungodly hour. If it is not trouble you’re looking to get into?" Nix asked; this time his eyes moved to hold Kitanna under his intense gaze.
"Come here." Nix called her over with his fingers. Kitanna felt her feet move on its own. Her step almost like that of a duck, as she padded to stand right in front of him
Her eyes continued to watch his hands play with the fire, but she knew a more burning gaze was on her. Kitanna couldn’t get herself to look at him.
"Do you know what happens when you play with fire?" Nix asked, his voice sounding almost like a growl. Something sensual flashed briefly through his eyes when he saw the bobble on Kitanna’s slender neck move up and down.
"Y-you get burnt," Kitanna muttered not sure where the conversation was leading to.
Nix moved his hand from the candle flames and rested it on gently on Kitanna’s neck. This caused the girl to shudder. She had been out in the cold all night, the hand that now rested on her neck was very warm. Kitanna closed her eyes.
"I will teach you." Nix moved closer to whisper the words directly to Kitanna’s ears. He hummed in delight when he heard the mess he was making with the girl’s heartbeat.
"I warned you, don’t go about using words you know nothing about. You came to serve me tonight?" Nix asked, his voice mixed with anger and amusement. But it was mostly pleasure.
"I- I didn’t mean..." Kitanna stopped in her words when the hand on her neck moved down to touch her chest, and slightly brushed the mounds on her front. She let out a small moan when she noticed this; her eyes flew open to find the blue eyes staring right into her soul.
"When you play with fire, princess, it doesn’t stop burning until it marks your soul." Nix, in one turn, twirled Kitanna making her back face him. He moved closer, his hands resting on both sides of her waist.
Kitanna let out a low sensational gasp; the movement was quite swift, and she didn’t see it coming. Her heartbeat was beginning to sound louder than the night crickets. The blush on her face, Kitanna was sure, would soon explode.
Her thoughts were cut short when one of the hands which was resting on her waist moved up to rest on her stomach. Kitanna rested her head on Nix’s chest; with her eyes closed. She felt something warm pool in between her legs.
Nix moved his other hand to her neck, his face moved closer to her slender neck. He watched the expression that passed Kitanna’s face. It was one of pleasure and an opening. Nix brushed his lips on her neck, without touching her skin directly. The hand which was on her stomach moved up again to brush her two mounds. Nix hummed in satisfaction when Kitanna moaned.
Kitanna forced her two legs closed trying to hold back what she felt was going to drip anytime soon between her legs. Her body anticipated another touch that will consume her whole soul. But she was shocked, when she noticed Nix let go of her.
Kitanna turned to look at Nix, her face trying to protest.
Nix tilted his head, when he noticed the look of protest on her face. "Don’t use words you know nothing about. Get some sleep princess. I will move the bedstand in a better position for you to sleep tonight, tomorrow morning go back to your room." He walked into the bedroom leaving the helpless princess standing there all alone.
Kitanna bit her lip almost drawing blood, she was this close to feeling something different. Why did he stop! She screamed in her head.
"Why can’t we move the bedstand together, with our body joined!" Kitanna muttered to herself out of frustration.
When she finally laid on the bed, with Nix sleeping in the other room. Kitanna rolled on the bed until she finally found some sleep.
Nix who was awake, listening to every movement that was coming from the room. Walked inside the room, when he noticed that the princess had finally drifted to sleep. He covered her and walked back to the living room. Not that he didn’t want to touch her, even he, was holding every last rein of control which was occasionally slipping from his hands whenever he looked into her eyes.
Nix needed make sure Kitanna was in love with him. And not her seeing him as someone who just played around with women. He wanted to make Kitanna see that it was not just a passing emotion.
