Chapter 192: ANTIDOTE
Chapter 192: ANTIDOTE
[MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: LUNA ~ ONEUS]
Axilla’s heart skipped a different beat from the usual rhythm caused by fear as she stared into Cortez’s eyes. How was he the one carrying her? The young girl asked herself.
Cortez held the girl he was carrying firmly as he walked towards an isolated place in the port. He knelt down and gently placed Axilla on the ground, removing his jacket; he used it to cover the girl’s body as she was already shivering because of cold as her dress was not thick enough.
Axilla sat there on the ground, still unable to move because of whatever the initial man forced her to inhale; all she could do was to move her eyes and watch as Cortez draped a jacket over her shoulders.
Cortez watched the girl for a moment, retrieving a vial from his pocket. He opened it, trying to feed her, but Axilla’s lips were not able to move.
"I’m sorry, but this is necessary," Cortez said under his breath, taking in a large gulp of the substance in the vial.
Axilla wanted to ask why the young master was apologizing, but her lips couldn’t move. Was he not going to save her again? She asked herself, trying her best to open her lips.
Lips!
Axilla’s heartbeat went into overdrive when she felt Cortez’s lips crash on hers. She almost combusted into nothingness, her heart thumping with force, while her cheeks churned crimson. Then she understood why he had apologized earlier – because he wanted to kiss her? No, save her.
Cortez’s tongue pushed open the small lips of Axilla, sucking in the innocent girl’s every breath as he pushed in the antidote of what was used to paralyze her down her throat. Using his large hands to hold the side of her face, he licked and sucked Axilla’s tongue. By the time Cortez was done, Axilla was already breathless.
He moved back from his position to behold the messy but beautiful work of art he created on the girl. Her hair was disheveled, the doe-like hazel eyes dilated, and her lips trembling but now looking even more rosier, and this tempted him to dive in for more. But there’s always another time; he smiled, nodding to himself.
Axilla didn’t know when she hiccuped immediately after the kiss; she raised her hands to cover her face and mouth as she just wanted to hide under the ground.
Cortez grinned, using his thumb to clean off the side of his mouth where the substance he fed Axilla still lingered; he sucked it sensually.
"I didn’t know this method worked effectively; we should try it again in case you feel numb elsewhere," he teased, moving closer to the girl
Axilla jerked up, as she used her two hands to stop Cortez from kissing her again, "Y-Young master, s-stop.. please I might pass out if you go again." She whispered, as her toes curled by just staying in such close proximity with Cortez.
Cortez cocked his head to the right, as his brows furrowed in worry, "We don’t want that to happen again," he smiled, using his hand to now arrange the girl’s hair.
Axilla pressed her trembling lips together; again? Did he just say again, she asked herself trying not to make eye contacts with him.
Cortez noticed the quizzical look on the girl’s face, "Oh, don’t tell me you didn’t remember after begging me to taste the alcohol you drank from your lips. You forced a kiss on me and you don’t remember? I feel abused and hurt," Cortez remarked, mirth dancing in his eyes as he watched the girl trying to hide from his prying gaze.
"I thought it was a dream.." Axilla muttered, bringing her hands close to her chest.
"Dream? What other unholy things do you do to me in your dream?" Cortez hummed, acting like the victim, before leaning closer. "I can help you bring it to life." His words bouncing on Axilla’s shoulder while striking a nerve in her body which sent bolt shots down her leg electrifying her whole system.
"Y-Young master!" Axilla gulped as her whole body bowed to the voice of one man, making her unable to control her emotions and words.
Cortez wanted to stop teasing the girl as there were other things he wanted to do, but with the way she kept acting, like a meal ready to be eaten, he couldn’t just let go. "If you keep calling me like that, it makes me wonder how you’ll sound when you’re under me."
Young master! Show some mercy! Axilla screamed in her head; she had a crush on this man but he was going in for the kill. His words were already melting her entire being, and she couldn’t do anything about it, as there was evidence on her face and ear which burned red, and toes that curled up carelessly.
Cortez knew exactly what he was doing to the girl; he knew Axilla was someone who had no idea about intimacy between a man and a woman. In fact, she was almost like an innocent child, but she shouldn’t be left in that bliss for long as she was a grown woman now.
Cortez found out even before Axilla that he had feelings for her, but his way of life was different from hers. Where he was a wildflower, Axilla was an innocent flower that should not be harmed but kept carefully in a vase. Even when he tried to send her away so he wouldn’t consume her whole, the girl found her way to his side, and he stalled for a long time but not anymore. Cortez decided he was going to bring Axilla to his dark part of the world.
"What has got you red, my bright flower?" Axilla gulped with the personalized endearment, before she could say anything someone stepped in.
"Mmhm" the merchant cleared his throat, afraid he had walked in on the Chief at the wrong time. "I’m sorry to interrupt Chief Cortez, but the last carriage is ready and we are set to leave."
Cortez closed his eyes for some time, furious about being interrupted. When he opened his eyes, the anger was replaced with a grin. He brought his hand that was going to touch Axilla’s face down, then he stood up his height towering over the merchant.
"They should not suspect anything. Get other merchants, we are ready to leave," Cortez ordered with his hands dipped in his trouser pocket.
"What about Lady Abigail?" The merchant asked in a low voice.
Cortez hummed, turning to face Axilla for a moment he smiled, "We should give her a gift then." He replied.
"Can you walk?" Cortez’s question was directed to Axilla who nodded her head slowly, as she stood up balancing on her feet.
Cortez walked to where she stood, holding her small hands, he said. "Follow him, and keep away from trouble. I’ll be right back so we can continue where we stopped." He smiled, petting Axilla’s hair gently.
Axilla nodded, as she followed the merchant leaving Cortez who still stood there watching her like an eagle. She stopped in her tracks, "Young master"
"Hm?" Cortez answered.
"Kayla, they took Kayla too." She replied.
Cortez nodded, "Go and rest up, I’ll come back with her." He said in a reassuring voice.
Meanwhile, as the flowers were now budding at Kaima-riya port. Back at Morado, the king and queen of the kingdom were faced with looming danger. With Kitanna being held hostage by an unknown person who had only disclosed to them that Kitanna was pregnant.
"W-who are you?" Kitanna asked, as fear was now coursing in her veins with the announcement of her pregnancy.
"You don’t need to know" the person replied, trying to drag Kitanna away, but the queen was faster as she swiftly bent forward bringing her boot knife she cut the person’s arm.
"Argh!" The person grunted, pushing Kitanna with force, and made a run for it into the darkness.
"Kitanna, Kitanna" Nix rushed to his wife’s side, "Are you okay?" He asked, taking a better look at her.
Kitanna balanced herself on the ground, allowing her upper body to lean on Nix’s chest. "I’m fine," her eyes followed the direction the person ran towards.
"What is it?" Nix asked, following her trail of sight.
Kitanna shook her head, "I don’t know, but the person’s voice sounded familiar." She replied, trying to pin where she heard that voice.
Nix lifted her up gently, "Let’s go back to the palace, for now." He replied, helping her to stand.
