Chapter 786: Chapter 354 Boss Acrobat_3

Maya said, "Stepping on the self-service counter can avoid the pond in the middle and circumvent to the bar area." The surface of the self-service counter is about one meter high, with various pots and food arranged on it, making it inconvenient to walk. Now, passing over it would make you a target for the enemy.

The Boss Acrobat appeared again, this time beneath the self-service counter near the bar. A cloth was draped around the counter; he lifted it to peek outside, saw no players, and put it back down.

Lin Wu did not show himself until Maya returned.

Little Knife stayed by the elevator, shuttling back and forth between the 32nd and 22nd floors; she was unsure whether Shana and Snow Egg would return first or if Maya and Lin Wu would need rescue.

Maya, armed with a shield, crouched at the center position, observing every move across the way through a special transparent section on the shield.

Maya: "Right above."

Lin Wu darted out but saw the Boss Acrobat vanish in a flash, with no opportunity to capture him in the sights. The Acrobat’s steak knives met the shield fully, yet caused no harm. Positioned behind the shield, Maya could use her gun, but aiming was difficult; she had to rely on her senses to shoot. Given the Acrobat’s speed, hitting him was extremely challenging.

"This is tough," Lin Wu pressed against the wall. "There’s no chance to aim, and his appearances are completely unpredictable."

"Come out." Maya’s command was brief. Lin Wu, gun ready, crouched and moved out from behind the wall, aiming at the area.

Soon, the Boss Acrobat appeared from the left side of the bar, a steak knife flying through the air. Lin Wu could not keep up with his movement. Maya shifted the shield 10 centimeters, aligning it with the wall to block the knife aimed at Lin Wu.

Maya said, "Sooner or later, he will run into the barrel of your gun. You need not only patience but also focus. Calm yourself to ensure that when he appears in your scope, you can hit him."

Another steak knife was thwarted by the shield, and Maya continued, "Stay calm and composed, immerse yourself in it."

Yet another steak knife was blocked by the shield, and this time Lin Wu didn’t even blink.

When the fourth steak knife flew towards Lin Wu, he pulled the trigger. It wasn’t a headshot, but he did hit the Boss Acrobat’s left chest. The blood spray was visibly clear through the scope, and the Acrobat’s health dropped by 30%.

As the fifth steak knife soared, Lin Wu scored another hit on the Acrobat. The Acrobat’s life was down to 20%.

Lin Wu missed the sixth, seventh, and eighth throws but on the ninth, he landed a headshot on the Boss Acrobat: "Done."

Three cards were left where the Boss Acrobat died. Maya said, "I’ll cover you, be careful."

"Understood." Lin Wu entered the self-service restaurant, climbed onto the counter, and stepped carefully around it. Below, the electrified water buzzed, but this disturbance was minor to Lin Wu. Had it been a bottomless abyss instead, it might have caused his adrenaline to skyrocket, rendering him immobile.

With the three cards in hand, Lin Wu found the power controls under the bar. After fiddling with it a few times, he successfully cut the power.

This being the first boss of hell mode, the rewards were very generous. First was a high-level Turret Card, which could upgrade a tier-two turret to a high-level one, doubling the fire rate and headshot percentage. For instance, with 5.56 bullets, a standard turret fires every four seconds at a 15% headshot rate. A tier-two turret fires every two seconds with a 30% headshot chance. The high-level turret fires every second with a headshot rate reaching 60%.

Since turrets do not need to consume bullets or reload, their efficiency surpasses that of a player, especially since players can only achieve such a high headshot rate within 15 meters, which cannot compare to the high-level turret’s data at 50 meters.

The second card: Power and Grid Card, two-in-one, but not as simple as an Outpost Card. First, a small power station needs to be built. Second, an iron net fence must be constructed. The longer the fence, the more electricity it requires to maintain, and the more fuel it consumes.

Indeed, this card isn’t intended for lighting up the base; it’s a standard defense card. It doesn’t consume fuel or provide power normally, only activating when the defense command is triggered.

Regarding this card, Lin Wu asked a critical question, "Are zombies afraid of electricity?"
