Lin Wu approached with a comforting smile, ready to give a hug, but Maya pushed him away. She didn’t need it, nor did she regret handing over the amulet to Lin Wu. Lin Wu found the geography here interesting because it was quite novel to him. A tar road stretched out before them, with sandstone-like soil on either side. In the distance, majestic mountains were visible, their peaks estimated to be over five thousand meters in altitude. Neither North Town nor the Blue Star Living Area where Lin Wu lived had flat geography, nor were the mountain ranges uniform. The horizon? There was no such thing. With the sun not yet set, Lin Wu went out for another look around. There were few trees and not much firewood; combustible materials were mainly shrubs and twigs, all small and not very long-lasting. After several more trips, he barely gathered enough combustibles for the night. Maya told Lin Wu that there might be oases in landscapes like this, and she thought that if there were still players in the surrounding area, they would likely be in an oasis.
