Chapter 389: Chapter 210: Surprise Attack_2

Lin Wu himself carried an assault rifle and said to Stone, "Forest Wolf."

After receiving the Forest Wolf, Lin Wu ran to the production room to duplicate Forest Wolf magazines, ran back to the Meteorological Station base, and stored his Silencer. He hung the assault rifle and Forest Wolf on the left and right sides of his backpack weapon rack, took a seven-shot shotgun from the warehouse and hung it on his chest. He also took stamina-replenishing gum and other snacks, placed two spare daggers in his backpack, added two baseball bats to the weapon rack, put on a bulletproof vest, and armed himself to the teeth.

Lin Wu ran back to the main base. With six minutes left, Lin Wu grabbed Stone, "Don’t be foolish, come here."

Lin Wu held his gun, glanced sideways through the scope at the front, turned his gun and body toward the side, then back to the side, "Learn."

"Is that necessary?"

"Yes," Lin Wu urged, "Hurry up, I don’t want to be a laughingstock, unable to hold down a five-star siege."

Stone took the training seriously as Lin Wu corrected him, "Don’t look directly at the red dot, look at the red dot through the scope, so if your hand shakes you don’t have to search all over for the red dot. Keep the other eye watching left and right, yes, that’s right... next."

Lin Wu raised his gun to imitate shooting, then turned and ran in a zigzag pattern, "If your bullets run out or you get a jam, don’t look back at the zombies, don’t run backward, run in a zigzag as much as you can. If there’s a Frenzy, don’t run more than 5 meters before cutting at an angle, focus on fixing your gun or changing the magazine."

Lin Wu said, "If you run towards my position, let me know via the earpiece if you need to change magazines or fix your gun. I can provide some cover here. Once you’ve fixed it or reloaded, turn around and open fire, and retreat while shooting."

Stone trained in a contrived manner, and Lin Wu almost burst into tears, "Brother, take it seriously and seek refuge, I may not be able to withstand it."

Stone expressed his doubts, "Really? It’s just a five-star."

Lin Wu nodded earnestly, "Yes." Inside, he was frantic. Have you ever seen a five-star? Oh right, you have. But in a five-star siege, you were just skimming through. There wasn’t time to debate and argue, Lin Wu said, "If there’s truly nowhere to run, hide inside a building, it can take a beating for a while."

From the trunk of the Overlord, Su Shi’s voice came, "15 seconds."

"Damn it!" Lin Wu cocked his rifle, put on his sunglasses to avoid any unknown liquids flying into his eyes during close combat. He was completely unsure of how to defend now, with all four gates wide open and no height advantage. Lin Wu shouted, "Old Man, you go to the sentry post."

Lin Wu ran to the southern gate of the factory building, a juncture between the backyard and the factory building, where he could oversee the entire factory, and all three other gates were within shooting range. All the base’s buildings and warehouses were located between the factory building and the backyard.

As the countdown ended, the five-star siege officially began; a dozen zombies spawned at the edge of the safe zone and ran towards the factory area. Lin Wu let out a sigh of relief—thankfully, it wasn’t progressively incrementing in difficulty.

No sooner had he relaxed than zombies arrived at the back door to the south; Lin Wu turned and fired in bursts, turning again to headshot the zombies 20 meters away entering from the south gate. Zombies from the east and west gates had already broken into the factory, running towards Lin Wu. He fired left and right, killing them on their approach, then turned to face the back door and headshot the zombies that got within 7 meters of him.

After another round, the zombies had already reached him. Lin Wu’s left hand was always clutching a dagger, his Wind Stinger flashed past, and he turned to shoot the zombies in the head. Unknown fluids splattered over him. No time to wipe his glasses, he used the Wind Stinger to dodge a Frenzy, continuously firing to kill it.

By now, the zombies had begun to flood in. Stone up in the watchtower started firing, blocking the back door, giving Lin Wu time to change his magazine. Zombies from the north, east, and west gates rushed at Lin Wu, who raised the shotgun, killed three with one shot, let go of it, grabbed the assault rifle to attack zombies 7 meters away. As they closed in, he immediately switched to the shotgun, blowing them away with two shots.

His rifle bullets gone, his shotgun shells gone, Lin Wu pulled out his pistol, Lock Head, and fired point-blank, zombie after zombie tumbling at his feet.

In three minutes of intense combat, Lin Wu and Stone had killed four Frenzies together. Then came the bad news: the Titan had finally arrived.

The Titan appeared at the western gate, which was blocked by a fence; the Titan couldn’t enter through the small door and had to go through the south or north gate. Lin Wu retreated while firing, back to the sentry post, to prevent the zombies from charging at it.

Stone’s youthful cells were rejuvenated, his response speed improving, providing enough firepower to support Lin Wu. Stone yelled, "Titan, south gate, it’s headed to the south gate, I’m blocked by the fence and can’t shoot."

No sooner had Stone spoken than the Titan already broke through the south gate; Lin Wu immediately faced it. The Titan grabbed a conference table and flipped it, throwing it, killing several zombies. The table split into seven or eight pieces, two of them causing damage to the barracks in the backyard and the production room in the factory building.

That’s when Lin Wu arrived. The Titan, leaning forward and roaring, reached out toward Lin Wu. Lin Wu, holding the Forest Wolf, almost had the barrel against the Titan’s stomach as he activated Lock Head; the .50 caliber bullets struck the Titan’s head, making it stagger. Lin Wu followed up two steps, pulled the bolt of Lock Head, and shot again, causing it to lurch. In this manner, he backed the Titan against the fence, rendering it immobile, finally headshotting it.

Stone blocked all the zombies trying to get to Lin Wu from behind. After the Titan died, Stone shouted, "Save me!" A large number of zombies used the revolving passage to storm the watchtower.

Lin Wu spoke through the radio, "Switch to the handgun. You’ve got a wife, don’t fear death, just fight."
