The next morning at eight o’clock, the system automatically allocated food to the base personnel, and Nightmare then left the supermarket base, bidding farewell to Lin Wu and Shana: "Until we meet again."

Shana said, "She didn’t want to say goodbye to Bai Ban, that’s why she left through the base’s back door." Bai Ban’s voice could be clearly heard coming from Birch Park.

Lin Wu asked, "Why? It’s nice hanging with us, isn’t it?"

Shana: "In the end, it’s inconvenient."

"Oh no." Lin Wu remembered something and shouted, "Nightmare, Nightmare, come back!"

Accompanying Lin Wu’s shouting, a Titan’s roar was heard not far from the back door of the base. Shana also remembered that there was a Titan in that direction. Without entering the base, the two circled half way to Birch Park to meet with Bai Ban’s people. After more than 20 days apart, everyone was particularly enthusiastic. Lin Wu hugged the Soulless brother lightly, exchanged a fist bump with Little Knife, and approached Maya, who instinctively stepped back to relieve the awkwardness and extended her hand to shake with Lin Wu.

Lin Wu shook Maya’s hand with his right hand, leaning forward slightly, and with his left hand, he gave her a light hug on the back: "It’s great to see you again."

After letting go, Maya nodded slightly: "Me too. Let’s get going."

Today, the first destination was Sewer Exit B, close to the second. Lin Wu, as the lead scout, went up first, but even with all his might, couldn’t budge the manhole cover. The main forces, Little Knife and the Double-body Snow Egg, also tried but failed to move the cover, confirming that it was firmly packed with snow from the outside.

They then tried Exit C, where Lin Wu successfully removed the manhole cover, but before he could peer out, zombies began to drop in. A zombie landing on Lin Wu knocked him back to the floor. As the zombies from above spotted humans, they lined up to tumble down the stairs. After continuously killing for 20 minutes and still facing a cascade of falling zombies, they decisively abandoned Exit C.

After four hours of back-and-forth, they reached Exit D. Little Knife, with both hands gripping Lin Wu’s right hand, closed her eyes and prayed: "All our luck goes to your right hand, use it to push."

Snow Egg said softly, "I can help too."

Little Knife pretended not to hear.

It seemed Little Knife’s luck worked this time, as not only did they move the cover, but they also found no zombies. Lin Wu, in a stealth state, crawled out of the hole, but soon returned: "We are in an alleyway, shielded from snow by the buildings, and there’s no snow near the manhole cover. The good news is there’s a shop just two meters away with a back door, presumed to be a pizza store, from which we can at least get one food package."

Little Knife eagerly asked, "And the better news?"

Lin Wu answered, "The better news is, there’s also a bakery and a coffee shop nearby."

Maya asked, "And the bad news?"

Little Knife looked at Maya with sorrow, do you really have to ask?

Outdoor Blood Zombies, although often tripping in the snow, moved with Agility unmatched by ordinary Blood Zombies.

Lin Wu pried open the back door of the pizza store, relying on camouflage and the Silencer to take down two Blood Zombies. Faced with zombies that could turn their heads at any moment, he didn’t dare make a careless backstab.

The pizza store was roughly one hundred and twenty square meters, consisting of a thirty square meter kitchen, a five square meter restroom, and an eighty-five square meter hall. Lin Wu then signaled for everyone to come up and explained the situation.

Maya delegated tasks: "Shana, take Snow Egg and Horse Soul to search for packages, be as careful as possible. Lin Wu, you’re responsible for the northward zombies. Little Knife, you handle the southwards zombies, and I’ll take the eastwards zombies." This was an alleyway, with a north passageway stretching 15 meters out to a road. The south extended into an apartment complex, and the eastern passage was 10 meters long, also leading to a road. There was a row of three-story walls to the west, posing no concern.

If zombies were alarmed and a horde was triggered, the sewer was the only escape route, so no matter what happened, they must hold the sewer entrance at all costs.
