Stone asked, "How big was the loss?"

Stone said, "If Nightmare wanted to kill you, she should have killed you first."

Lin Wu replied, "Therefore, I think it wasn’t Nightmare’s doing. Eliminating Nightmare as a factor, what’s the reason then?"

Maya said, "You need to keep the fact that you have a drone a secret. Does Nightmare know?"

Lin Wu answered, "I never flew it in front of her, but she should have seen the drone hanging on my backpack."

Maya said, "You should put the drone away."

Stone asked, "Want Maya to go with you?"

Rumor had it that the whole of Right County only had two. It was almost standard issue for Fortress agents, while Nightmare even had two high-quality lives worth of forehead guards.

This reminded Lin Wu of the prize from Waste City, which was a Hero’s forehead guard. While a regular one could block a fatal attack once, the Hero’s forehead guard could withstand a headshot. It seemed there was a reason for the distinction in the description.

It was noon when Lin Wu stepped outside. The drone circled overhead, spotting two red dots near the five-kilometer Sentry Card, likely players heading to the farm. Zooming in the camera, he saw they were two ordinary players dragging a car, struggling through the snowy ground. Moving out?

Curious, Lin Wu headed to the Sentry Card, where the drone relayed more information. Not just the farm players were moving out, but a long procession was also leaving North Town. Twelve households were dragging their cars towards the church on the mountaintop.

Lin Wu simply slipped past the Sentry Card to Shadow’s base, coincidentally right when some players were visiting. He learned from listening in that after last night’s radio contact, many bases began to move, relocating closer to the commercial street near the mountaintop church.

The commercial street and the five nearby apartment buildings had been swept clean by Shadow’s base. Their move wasn’t due to resources but rather to avoid the Blood Plague and Titan.

Five apartment buildings, three units per floor, seven floors each theoretically could accommodate more than a hundred bases, plus factories and storefronts; the area around the mountaintop church could support over 120 bases. Of course, the quality of these bases was low. In an apartment building, you could only construct a dormitory and a clinic.

The good news was there was a river nearby, even closer to the center of North Town than before.

After the visitors left, everyone headed to the cliff edge. Due to the herd effect, more people could be seen heading south from North Town. Stone said, "Remember, don’t be a goody-two-shoes, don’t help them selflessly, or they’ll start seeing us as the leaders. Stone said, "There’s a barbecue set in the warehouse, just add charcoal."

Lin Wu turned around, smiling, "I knew you were the best."

It was no longer a tranquil place.

With more people came more trouble, and Stone hoped to get through the winter, take the Sawmill, and leave North Town as soon as possible.

Watching the junction, Horse Soul said, "Stone, why don’t we just play the villains?"

Stone replied, "Being bad isn’t profitable enough." With that, he lowered his hand to greet the visiting players with a welcoming smile.
