Dongwoo rubbed his temples. They gave him one of her shirts and in it, it was like he was floating.

But he couldn’t deny that it was very comfortable so he wore it. Plus, he was enticed by the scent of their perfume lingering on the shirt.

The twins used the same perfume and wore the same clothes, so it would be a bit difficult to point out the exact owners of the clothes lying about.

Maybe this was the right time to commence their talk.

"Hyung, we’re sorry." Seojin began, breaking Dongwoo out of his thoughts. "We have no excuse for our actions, and nothing we say can erase what we did, but... It was never our intention to hurt you."

Dongwoo went silent, simply staring at them. Yeah, he knew the twins would never do anything to hurt him but that was not the issue. The issue was that they looked at his disgusting past.

The fact that they knew about the horrible things he went through was what hurt him the most. He hated that it was in the open.

"Scared... Of what?" Dongwoo asked.

"Of hurting you." This time, Seojun answered. "Yet we did it anyway."

The answer was rather vague as Dongwoo still didn’t know the exact context of their fear. Yes, they didn’t want to hurt him but what did that have to do with knowing his past?

"Hyung," Seojin called and crawled towards him till he could get a hold of his hand. "This is just an example, but imagine you have a pet that you treasure and care for with all your heart. But that pet once had a master. An abusive master. It would starve the pet, and do all sorts of horrible things to the pet. And after getting that pet, you had no idea what it had passed through, only to discover your actions scare it."

Dongwoo gulped. He was trying to focus on the story but what Seojin was doing with his hand was very distracting.

He interlocked their fingers together, released them, and then interlocked them again.

"There are certain things you do with your pet that make it shiver in fear and stay away from you. You discover your pet has a past trauma and get scared that it would start hating you because of its past. And thus..."

"It was never your fault so why would we think that? To us, you’re the purest person that ever lived on this planet." Seojin kissed his hand. "There’s no way we would find you disgusting, Hyung. It’s just simply impossible."
