Chapter 377: Do you remember the first time we met, Hyung?
This mansion was the place Seojun and Seojin had grown up in while they stayed in Italy, just before they went to college and started living their lives.
It was the place their mother had taken them to after forcing them away from Korea, away from Dongwoo.
This was the place they hated more than anywhere. Why? Because it felt like a cage that kept them locked away from the place they really wanted to be.
It was a restriction, put in place to chain them down.
They wanted to go back to him, they wanted to go meet Dongwoo. They wanted to live with him or at least see him every day, but it was impossible because they were so far away.
But in this mansion that they hated more than anything, they had to find a place where they could at least breathe and live like they used to.
A place that reminded them of Dongwoo and was filled with the scent of nature.
It was a greenhouse, just like the one Dongwoo had found them in.
"Are we there yet?" Dongwoo asked, watching his steps as he walked slowly. He was blindfolded and being led by both hands slowly by the twins.
"I told you it’d be faster if I just carried you, Hyung." Seojun said and they laughed.
"Just tell me when we’re there."
Seojun and Seojin exchanged glances and then smiled at each other. They turned to Dongwoo and stopped walking.
"We’re there." They both chorused and let go of his hand. While Seojun untied the blindfold, Seojin walked in the opposite direction of where they came in.
The blindfold fell from Dongwoo’s eyes and he blinked. It was still dark and everywhere he looked was dark.
"I can’t see a thing," he said. "Are you sure we’re in the right place?" He asked and turned to look at Seojun whose face he could barely see thanks to how dark it was. "How did you guys even see the path to this place? It’s dark everywhere I look."
"We’re used to the path, that’s why." Seojun said.
"Hm, I see." Dongwoo said and then realized something. "Wait, where’s Seojin?" He asked and at that moment, the lights came on.
From the back of the place to the front, lights came up one by one. Colorful lights that revealed the nature of the place they were standing at.
Dongwoo’s eyes widened as he stared at the greenhouse that had suddenly come alive with beautiful colors.
The plants and flowers... They were all so attractive and pretty.
"This... This is..."
"Do you remember the first time we met, Hyung?" Seojun asked, dropping his head on Dongwoo’s shoulder and Dongwoo looked over his shoulder, wondering what he was getting at. "It was in a place similar to this one."
"There were a lot of plants, and we were basically hiding," Seojin spoke up, and Dongwoo raised his head to find him approaching. "We always hid like that, hoping no one would find us."
He stopped in front of Dongwoo with both hands covering something in front of him.
"But you found us," he smiled softly. "...and that was the day we saw the light for the first time."
"What are you...?"
Dongwoo was a bit confused. He already knew all this. They basically reminisced about the joy of coming into each other’s lives a few weeks ago.
But this time... His heart was thumping as if he was excited.
"The day you came into our lives was a day we would never forget, even if a few more decades passed." Seojun said, touching Dongwoo’s hair and staring at the back of his neck. "And that is why we want to see you happy for many more decades."
Dongwoo’s eyes widened and he glanced back at Seojun, seeing him smile regrettably.
"Will you be satisfied if we, who are unqualified to love and be loved, take care of you for the rest of your life?" He asked. "Will you be satisfied if it’s just us and no one else?"
"Dongwoo," Seojin called, snatching Dongwoo’s attention to the front. "For so many years, you have been the one in our hearts and minds, you have been the driving force that kept us going, that kept pushing us towards the impossible. You... Are the our life and without you..." He stretched his covered hands towards him. "We can’t live anymore. So, can you take responsibility for us and we will take responsibility for having you shelter unwanted beings like us."
"What are you two saying?" Dongwoo asked. "Who told you you’re unqualified to love and be loved? Who told you that you are unwanted beings? Who was it? I can’t stand this. I will beat them up for you so tell me who it was."
They both stared at him stunned. He was so enthusiastic.
They laughed.
"This is not a laughing matter. I can’t stand to have people speak ill of you two. You’re both my lovers and I will take responsibility for you. I will protect you and make sure no one rubs you the wrong way."
(I think they’ve rubbed off their violence on our poor innocent Dongwoo. Welp)
They were once again stunned. He sure knew how to say words that caught their hearts. But with which hands was he going to use to treat them a lesson?
Was it his soft and delicate hands that were made to hold onto a camera perfectly? He would never inflict any damage.
But still...
"Thank you for your words, Dongwoo. You’re the only one who ever saw the real us and still has the heart to say such words to us. You gave us the love that we never thought we would get. So, for that, we will do anything and everything for you." Seojin confessed.
"Dongwoo," Seojun called. "Thank you for caring for us, but if you want to beat those people up, just being our lover isn’t enough."
"It’s not?" Dongwoo asked, confused and they both shook their heads.
"If you want to defend us, you’ll have to do it forever and we can’t just be lovers forever, right?" Seojun asked with a wide grin. "Let’s see what Seojin has in his hands."
