Chapter 376: I really wanted to spend Christmas with you... Lily
"Hyung," Seojin called softly and hugged Dongwoo. He had tears in his eyes as well. "Thank you." He said and Dongwoo wondered what he was thanking him for. "Thank you for never giving up on us and yourself. Thank you for hanging on for so long." He cried. "Thank you for being alive."
Dongwoo heard these words and his heart melted even more. He bit his lips but his tears still rained down.
He hugged Seojin tight as he cried. His heart was in shambles but he was beyond relieved. Beyond happy.
Seojun walked in and hugged them. He didn’t need to say anything else. All he needed to do was be there for them.
"Hyung," Seojun called softly and Dongwoo raised his head. Seojun grazed their lips together softly as if asking for permission to go further.
Dongwoo pressed his lips deeper, shocking Seojun, but he took this as an answer and went further, kissing Dongwoo deeply.
It had been a while since they did anything, so this time, they would hold him gently and softly, as though he were a piece of glass. They would make sure he felt the deep sincerity of their love, how much they cared for him, and how they would never let him go for anything in the world.
He was theirs and they were his.
A few weeks passed and it was Christmas. Allegra invited Dongwoo and her sons over for Christmas in Italy.
Of course, the twins had to be convinced by Dongwoo before agreeing to spend Christmas with ’that woman,’, but thankfully, there was a little development, and they no longer called her ’that woman.’ They at least called her Miss Allegra or if they wanted to get on each other’s nerves, Seojin would say, ’Matteo’s mom’ and Seojun would say, ’Lorenzo’s mom’
It was fun to listen to and though they did it only to get on each other’s nerves, hearing it, Miss Allegra could not help but feel touched.
At least, even though they had yet to acknowledge her as their mother, this was enough.
Minwoo and Sungho were also there to celebrate. Of course, Minwoo would not pass on the opportunity to spend their first Christmas together after their reunion.
So, he brought Sungho along with him.
Haejoo made his way there and made himself at home, planning to steal Miss Allegra’s attention this time around.
Luckily, Alejandro knew how to read the room and left before anyone got agitated to the point of pointing fingers at him and hissing at him.
He knew he wasn’t wanted from the start so why bother staying there?
He could’ve left before they arrived but he stayed just to see them arrive. He wanted to get a glimpse of him one last time. A glimpse of Minwoo.
Geumtae and Eunwoo spent their Christmas together, cuddling in Geumtae’s living room with a green blanket over their bodies and their eyes fixed on the TV.
It was cozy and Eunwoo could not ask for anything more.
As for Doha, she decided to announce her relationship with Dooshik to Taiha, as if Taiha didn’t already know.
Eunkyung and Yaeran kept their relationship to themselves and only told the few people who they knew would support them. It was a fun and lively Christmas with everyone living their lives without a care in the world.
Dongwoo stood on the balcony, staring at the sky with a hot cup of cocoa in his hand.
He sighed, and his breath was visible, thanks to the cold in the atmosphere.
"I really wanted to spend the Christmas with you," he drank from his cocoa. "Lily."
His eyes held a hint of sadness. If only Lily were there.
Suddenly, someone dropped a blanket over his shoulder and Dongwoo looked back to find Seojun.
"Hyung," he called. "What’s on your mind? You could’ve caught a cold wearing something so thin outside." He said but Dongwoo shook his head.
"It’s nothing." He said. "I just... Thought of the past." He subtly smiled. "It was pretty lonely and cold and..."
"Hyung," Seojun pulled his hand. "Don’t think of the last anymore. It doesn’t matter. What matters is the present and the further. Fuck, the future doesn’t even matter as much as the present so just focus on now, alright?"
Dongwoo smiled and caressed his face. His handsome and flawless face.
Oh, right. His face was no longer flawless. There was a scar above his right eyebrow. He didn’t even know how he had gotten it, but it was there, and it wouldn’t go away no matter what they did.
He asked about it, but Seojun simply shook his head and said it was a reminder, but he never said what it reminded him of.
Thankfully, it was easy to cover up with makeup so it didn’t affect his photo shoots.
"I understand, Seojun." Dongwoo said, smiling at him. "But don’t you think it’s time to stop calling me Hyung? You should be able to call me by my name now, right? After all, I’m your lover and not your..."
Seojun clasped his hands with his eyes sparkling and said,
"I like calling you Hyung."
His enthusiasm and the sparkles in his eyes told Dongwoo he wasn’t going to relent any time soon. Well, he could do whatever he wanted.
"Will you also keep calling me Hyung?" Dongwoo asked with a smile, turning his head towards the balcony door where Seojin was standing.
"Hyung sounds so right," Seojin said and finally started approaching.
He had stood in place, allowing them to do whatever they wanted but it seemed like Dongwoo already knew he was there right from the start.
"How did you know I was there?" Seojin asked, standing beside Dogwood and rubbing his cheek on his.
"Well, I just did." Dongwoo said and laughed. "It’s probably because your presence is so strong."
"Hm, you think so?" Seojin asked and laughed.
"Anyway, Hyung, we want to take you somewhere," Seojun said and Seojin nodded.
"Hm? Where? I thought we were staying here tonight."
"Well, yeah but we want to take you somewhere. You haven’t had time to tour the mansion, have you?" Seojin asked and Dongwoo thought for a moment.
He was planning to tour the mansion the next day but it was fine if they wanted to show him around tonight.
"Alright then. How are Minwoo and Sungho by the way?"
"I think Minwoo went to look around the area. Sungho took him out, to be precise."
"Oh, those two just can’t get enough of each other." Dongwoo said as he laughed. Minwoo was very clingy, and Sungho was equally clingy, so they were such a great match. "Alright, let’s go."
