Chapter 336: She stared at her sons, taking a good look at them

Though Eunwoo was taken by surprise, he did not want to pass on that offer. Not because he wanted to get close to Geumtae, but because he felt he needed those few drinks.

They stood outside the restaurant and Eunwoo wondered if Dongwoo wasn’t going to come out yet. It has been a while since he went inside. He hoped nothing was going to go wrong.

"Come, I know just the perfect people to call to handle this." Geumtae said and took out his phone.

Usually, he wouldn’t pass on this opportunity to be of some help to Dongwoo, but right now, there was a mystery he was trying to unfold and it had to be that night.

He dialed Seojun’s number and as soon as they picked it up, he said,

"New Dawn Hotel, I don’t know what’s going on inside but Dongwoo may be in trouble, so come over right away." He said and didn’t wait for a response before cutting the call. "Okay, let’s go."

"Is this really okay?" Eunwoo asked, feeling they were kind of... Abandoning Dongwoo.

"Don’t worry. It’s fine." Geumtae said. He didn’t wait for a response because he knew Seojun would start by asking him questions and things like that.

He knew their character well enough to know the kind of response they would give.

’Hm, he was rather slow in responding.’ Geumtae said as they started making their way down the pathway. ’I wonder what he’s doing.’

What Seojun was doing, was none other than meeting up with his mother with his brother.

They agreed to talk over dinner but never really said they would eat. Even though their mother ordered what she believed to be their favorites.

"We don’t want to dawdle," Seojin said. "So, tell us. How are you going to drag uncle away? His presence is threatening."

Allegra listened but her eyes were doing more action than her mouth should.

She stared at her sons, taking a good look at them and how well they had grown. They took after her a lot, she could see

Since the moment they walked out of the house to start their further education, she had never really laid eyes on them properly.

She could only see through pictures that she sometimes had people take. She just wanted to make sure they were doing well.

Now, seeing them, she felt the pictures didn’t do them justice. They were so handsome and healthy too. She was glad.

"I didn’t think father would send Alejandro so quickly." Allegra said. "I hoped to arrive before then and stop him before he took any action. I hope he didn’t cause you any harm. I... I was never able to speak up for you before but..."

"He almost kidnapped our lover." Seojun answered, intentionally interrupting her from her sad mother talk. "And we’ve been on edge since then since we don’t know his initial plans."

"He probably wanted to use him to threaten us to go back to Italy. Hyung doesn’t deserve any of this."

"Hyung? Lover?" These were terms she was hearing for the first time. They both had a lover? Ah, and it looked like they were sharing too.

Wait, was this the same Hyung they kept screaming they wanted to go back to? The same one that made them go mad with rage every single day since they stepped foot into her house?

They were together with him?

Ah!

She covered her mouth. She thought it was just a childish infatuation at that time. They didn’t want to leave their friend so they were sad and angry. But it turned out they kept it at the back of their mind even while growing up.

And that childish infatuation wasn’t a childish infatuation at all. They liked him that much? So much so that they went to look for him even while they were all grown up.

Then her sons were gay.

"What’s with that reaction?" Seojun asked and she flinched out of her thoughts. "You can’t do anything, is that it? Are you just here to monitor the situation after all and not do anything?"

"No, that’s not it. I was just... Surprised." She said, which caused them to furrow their eyebrows. What was she surprised about? "I thought you came to Korea because you had a passion for modeling. You know, you always had Haejoo tutor you, so I thought you..." She shook her head. "All those years of tutoring, was it just so you could come back here and find this ....Hyung?" She asked.

"I don’t think there’s a connection to that and your reason for being here." Seojin answered.

"No, there is." She said. "I originally thought you came to Korea to be free to do what you want. To become a model and face a bright stage. But father hated it and wanted you back. I was determined not to let him ruin your lives and take away your dreams. But..." She pursed her lips. "If the reason you are so bent on staying here is because of a lover then... It’s a completely different story."

"In other words, you won’t help." Seojun immediately jumped to conclusions but that was not it at all. She shook her head and said,

"No, not at all. Of course, I’ll help. I will definitely help. That is what I am here for." She said, in a rushed tone, knowing if she dawdled for even a second, her sons would get up and walk away, not listening to anything else she had to say. "If you want to stay here and be with your lover, I will definitely help you."

"So, you don’t mind that both your sons are gay and screwing around with one guy." Seojin suddenly said, as if trying to test her, and honestly, she didn’t care.

"I don’t. It’s your life and what makes you happy." She said. "Besides, I don’t think I have the right. After all, I haven’t been a good mother till now."

"Glad we’re all in the same boat there." Seojun exclaimed which hurt her heart. What could she do to win the hearts of her sons?

"Anyway, uncle won’t leave until he knows you won’t be harmed by grandfather. So, all you need to do is tell him you’re no longer under that old man’s clutches and he’ll back off." It was quite easier said than done. Especially now that they had no idea Alejandro had taken a fancy to another piece.

Just then, Seojun’s phone rang and Seojin picked up. He saw it was Geumtae and wondered why he was calling. Was it Dongwoo? He wondered since Dongwoo said he was going out and Geumtae was the only one they could think of that he would go to meet without telling them.

He answered and placed it on loudspeaker, only to hear the words,

"New Dawn Hotel, I don’t know what’s going on inside but Dongwoo may be in trouble, so come over right away."

They fell silent and Seojun gulped before asking,

"Matteo, what was the name of the hotel you said uncle was staying at again?" His gaze shifted to Seojun whose eyes were bloodshot in shock and fear at the same time.

It was the same hotel. New Dawn Hotel.

This couldn’t be good.
