Chapter 330: She couldn’t put up with it anymore
Eonie couldn’t live her life the same knowing what had happened. She couldn’t live with her filthy body.
She decided to just end it. After all, no one would cry if she died. No one would... Miss her.
"Eonie!" She heard her name and turned around but there was no one. The way her name was called sounded like a sweet melody.
A warm voice, a warm smile, and a warm feeling. It was someone she cherished a long time ago. She could no longer see them because they had passed away and the reason... Ah, it was thanks to her sister.
Eonie stood on the bridge. The waves crashed beneath her, and the wind blew her hair aside.
She looked like a mess with heavy and dark eye bags underneath her eyes. Her neck shrunk from malnourishment and being starved for so long.
She was suffering. What else could she do in this life?
In this life, she had wished for a family of her own. A family to love her. A family she could love. A family she could call her own.
Maybe she could’ve enjoyed life if she didn’t get caught up in a family like this.
So, while staring at the water, she made a wish.
Whether or not it would come true, she simply hoped it would and could do nothing more about it.
If ever the child was born, she wished that it would get away from that wicked woman. No matter the method. If they had to die to get away then that was better than living a life filled with hell.
’Let that child run and find someone to love and give them the warmth of a family that I never had. I... Want that child to be happy growing up.’
For everything they would do, they would always be compared to others and their efforts would only be seen if it was the best.
The way their parents had raised them was cruel. So cruel to her but for her sister, it was the best since she was naturally gifted.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she saw the faint vision of two little boys smiling at her. She reached her hand out but it disappeared, leaving her with nothing.
She retraced her shaking hand, pressed it on her chest, and sobbed.
They were twins. She felt it.
’Please, take them away from her.’ she pleaded. ’I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m the reason you may have to suffer. I am... So sorry.’
She hoped they could get away but her first wish was for the ’child’ to get away and not the ’children’.
She shook her head. She couldn’t do it anymore.
This sadness, this loneliness, and this pain. She couldn’t put up with it anymore.
She climbed the bridge and closed her eyes, wishing all the best for the children. May they have a happy ending and not end up like her.
She fell down the bridge, her tears falling and she closed her eyes. But as she hit the water, she got to see a life she had never lived while sinking deeper into the water.
A happy life. Having a family of her own and smiling. She was smiling.
Two little boys running around her and laughing. She was so happy.
A smile played on her cheek as she sank to the bottom.
The vision of a life she never lived was the only thing that could put a smile on her face. All through her life... She had never been happy.
Mrs Lee, sitting in her car that was parked a little distance away, sighed and said,
"Good riddance to bad rubbish. Seriously, it was about time." She looked at her stomach.
She didn’t care if she chose to end her life. At least, she got what she wanted.
She never saw Eonie like she was her sister to begin with. If anything, she was just irritating.
"Alright, let’s go. We don’t have any business here anymore." She said, and the driver drove off.
(So, Eonie’s wish for her child to get away from her sister by all means came to pass. She just didn’t know that she would make a wish for the children from the start. So, only one wish of a dying person is answered. Dongwoo was able to get away but Minwoo ended up staying and suffering.
Eonie knew all that would happen. She knew the children would suffer comparison and they would never be genuinely happy. Being the slow-brained twin, Eonie suffered a lot and was neglected. She just didn’t want her child to suffer the same fate as she did.
And although Dongwoo was able to get away, he was able to find a family that loved him, his grandma, misfortune wasn’t far. He still suffered. And suffered some more. And some more suffering. But he was getting his happy ending. He had found love and found two guys who treasured him more than anything in the world.
Isn’t it a tragic beauty? I almost cried for Eonie. She didn’t deserve any of that. She just... Wanted a family.
And PS, Minwoo doesn’t know about Eonie. He just said that because he was feeling emotional. He has seen how parents take care of their children and this was definitely not it. His mother did not love him as she would her own child. So, maybe she wasn’t their mother after all.
That was what he came up with. But he did not have proof to back up that claim yet. He didn’t even know where to start or how to find proof.
If you want Minwoo to pursue this matter, indicate in the comment section. Thanks)
Back to the present.
Minwoo picked himself up and cleaned his eyes. He shouldn’t be crying. It was times like this that he had to assure himself that everything would be okay in the end.
He would work hard, think of other ways to keep Alejandro from Dongwoo, and stop seeing him.
Then, his phone beeped. He picked it up, and his eyes went dark as he saw the message and its recipient. Speak of the devil.
Alejandro had sent him a time for them to meet, at that same suite.
He gritted his teeth. Today again? After he bent him into different styles the previous night and fucked him as much as he wanted, he wanted to see again this night?
Was he crazy?
Yet, he couldn’t refuse.
He wanted to be touched by Sungho alone. He liked Sungho. No, he loved Sungho. And he wanted to be with him, so he would try his best.
He had to come up with a way to cut things with Alejandro before they got too into this whole shenanigans.
Everyone was trying their best. They all wanted to be with the one they loved. They wanted to be there for the person they loved and stop any obstacles. They wanted to wipe their tears and clear out anything that would make them cry.
They were working so hard, yet misfortune just seemed to always wait at their window, waiting to sneak in like a their in the night.
"Now, what are we going to do?" Dongwoo asked Jaeho and then glanced at Eunwoo.
Eunwoo was becoming desperate. His dreams had stopped and it was making him anxious. It was making him feel like his life partner was getting out of reach.
"If this continues, your brother is gonna fall for some other guy." Dongwoo pointed out.
"I get it but I just don’t know what to do at this point." Jaeho said. "I want to help. I really want to but all my plans so far have produced no results. It’s frustrating, honestly."
Dongwoo looked at Eunwoo, concerned. How was he holding up?
To love someone, know you love them and want to love them, were there different things entirely, but Eunwoo was experiencing all that, yet was given no chance to do either.
"Hah, I guess we have no other choice." Dongwoo said and got up. "Let’s go. I’m gonna go visit the vet."
"You want me to go with you?" Eunwoo asked.
"Yeah. Let’s have a nice cup of coffee, all three of us. I’ll use the excuse that I want to see Lily and you were on an errand with me. I’ll make up anything. I just..." He pursed his lips. Was he trying too hard?
This wasn’t just about Eunwoo anymore. He was thinking about Geumtae. Leaving that stranger he met on the net aside, how did he plan to live his life going forward?
He didn’t want him to be alone.
He didn’t hold the guilt of rejecting him when he confessed but he also felt a bit... Remorseful.
Geumtae never liked anyone to the bone, so getting rejected by the one person that he fancied for the first time must’ve broken his motivation to find love.
He would date half-heartedly and end up being alone.
That kind of fate, he didn’t want it for him. So, he would help him to find genuine love and happiness with Eunwoo, his destined partner.
