Minwoo was confused. His heart was beating fast, warning him not to go down that lane. But what could he do? This was the only chance he would have to protect Dongwoo from at least one of the threats to his happiness.

"Tell me this," he said, his head down. "...if I do what you want. If I give you permission to explore or whatever, will you leave my Hyung alone?" He raised his head. "You’ll have to promise to let go of Lee Dongwoo. I don’t care if you’re under orders or on a mission. I value my Hyung more than anything. So, if you want me then leave my brother alone."

Alejandro gave one long hard look at him and shrugged.

"Alright, I guess there’s always a way around anyway." He said, and before Minwoo could ask what he meant by that, he locked lips with Minwoo, this time actually kissing him and not trying to force smoke down his throat.

His mouth tasted like the vile but scented cigarette he had been smoking.

Minwoo’s fits trembled slightly as sweat dripped down the corner of his face during such a cold night. He couldn’t believe he was doing this. With this man who was over 40 too. Well, age didn’t matter when they still looked hot and young, but still...

"Let’s leave it at this for today." He said, holding Minwoo’s chin and gazing into his terrified eyes. "I don’t like holding a shaking rabbit. So I’ll give you time to adjust but that doesn’t mean I’ll leave you be for long. If you don’t adjust, then I’ll just have to make you adjust."

He smirked, dropped his face on Minwoo’s neck, and took a long whiff of his scent before biting him.

"Ugh," Minwoo bore with it, gritting his teeth till Alejandro let go and stepped back, cleaning his lips with his thumb.

"Alright, run along now." He said and Minwoo turned around, his head spinning with a lot of thoughts.

Just what in the world had he put himself into?

He touched his neck. It was a bit sore. How deep did he bite down? Was he an animal?

He walked for a while till he got to where he parked his car and got in. Holding the steering wheel, he wanted to just bang his head on it but he refrained.

He did not scream, neither did he bank his head. He did not cry either. Rather, the look he had in his eyes was sheer hatred, as well as determination.

Then, he got yet another call. He wondered if it was Dongwoo again but saw it was Sungho. His hand trembled.

He cleared his throat and answered,

"Hello,"

He had left in the middle of the night so he must’ve been worried, waking up and not seeing him by his side.

"Minwoo, what happened? Where did you go in the middle of the night?" He asked but Minwoo took a moment, biting his bottom lip in guilt before answering,

"I’m sorry. Something came up so I had to rush home right away." He said. "But don’t worry, I’m fine. It’s all good. I’ll just sleep here for the night."

"Oh, if that’s the case then I’m glad. I was just worried when I couldn’t find you." He said, jabbing Minwoo’s heart. "Is it fixed? The emergency?"

"Yeah, it’s all good. I was just about to go to bed anyway." He said, and he could tell Sungho smiled.

"Alright, sleep well. I’ll... I’ll see you in the morning."

Minwoo’s hand trembled, tightening around the phone as he lowered it down. Tears finally made their way down his cheeks.

This guilt... He didn’t think he would experience it a second time after Dongwoo. It was painful, knowing he would have to deceive Sungho like this and break his trust.

In their relationship, they never stated terms of trust but it was like an unwritten rule that they were to keep their bodies for each other till they broke up.

It was an unwritten rule, but it was still there, and gradually, they had started putting their trust in one another, living like there would be fruit in their relationship, while both sides knew clearly that what they had wouldn’t last.

Even if they wanted it to last, they would have to rely on the other party to speak up. And since neither knew the thought of the other party, they would all remain silent till it found a way to break it miraculously yield fruit.

Minwoo gave out an exhausting sigh and turned on the engine of his car.

While he drove off, Alejandro watched. Then, one of his men offered him a cigarette, he stuck it to his mouth and waited for him to light it up.

His man lit it up and he took it out of his mouth, letting out the smoke from his mouth.

"He’s so gullible." He remarked.

"Boss, pardon me but are you really planning on giving up the mission?" His man asked but Alejandro didn’t have that thought.

"Let’s say, I’ll find a way around it. For now, I’ll have fun with that one, get his scent in my system till I’m satisfied, and then..." He remembered how desperately Minwoo asked him to promise he wouldn’t touch his brother.

He sighed.

"Yeah, there’s always another way. Since I promised not to touch his blood, I’ll just have to deal with those little sucklings instead." He took a long hard puff of his cigarette and dropped it on the floor before walking away.

His man stepped on it, putting it out, and then followed after his boss. What was going through his boss’ mind, he would never know.

Minwoo got home, put in his passcode, and dropped on the couch. He didn’t even go to his room.

He was exhausted, physically and mentally.

He closed his eyes and slept off, hoping it had all been nothing but a horrible, terrible dream.
