Chapter 309: Well, at least there was peace
The talk of getting therapy stayed between them before Dongwoo was able to tell the twins about it.
It was night and they were just getting ready to sleep when Dongwoo brought it up.
At first, they were surprised that Dongwoo would suddenly think of therapy. His records showed that he never attempted it, so they guessed it was because he didn’t want to go or was scared of it.
So, speaking of it now and saying,
"I didn’t even know that one would therapy because of the things I faced. I just bottled them up and told myself I was fine. That sort of thing was what strengthened me, and of course, your pictures are well, hehe. But..." He slowly lowered his head, scratching his finger. "Bottling them up and telling myself I’m fine wasn’t exactly the cure, since I ended up getting scars and issues from them." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "So, I’m ready to seek a permanent cure."
They immediately hugged him, shocking him and he patted their backs,
"Hey, what are you doing?"
"Hyung," Seojun called. "Let’s just stay like this for the rest of the night."
"Hm?" Dongwoo looked towards Seojin who wasn’t saying anything. "Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, Hyung," they hugged him even tighter. "We’re fine."
The one who wasn’t fine was the one they were hugging and they felt guilty for being negligent and not seeing the pain even when it was clearly on the surface.
And they claimed to love him with all their hearts. They claimed to know his insides and outs but they knew nothing of this.
They had taken so much care and precaution but no matter what, they always ended up missing something.
"Hyung, sorry." Seojin finally spoke. "Sorry. So sorry. Sorry, Hyung." He kept apologizing.
"What for?" Dongwoo asked, but they did not respond, and he rested his head back.
He couldn’t get their reaction.
Even Minwoo acted weirdly when they were talking about him getting therapy.
Was it that shocking knowing he never thought of therapy?
Well, at least there was peace.
He brushed their hair till he eventually fell asleep alongside them.
Their hearts were troubled but being next to Dongwoo, they were able to fall asleep.
In the middle of the night, Dongwoo woke up to get a glass of water. He drank it and sat down, sighing to himself as he thought about the woman who came to the company to cause a ruckus.
He wouldn’t be able to hide from her for much longer. She had fame and wealth, and according to Minwoo, she always got what she wanted.
Then if that was the case, wouldn’t she try to get him at all cost?
If that was the case, he couldn’t live comfortably.
So, why not meet up with her one-on-one and make his standing?
He was an adult. Even though she was his mother, she did not have the right to stop him from pursuing his career as a photographer.
He was doing well without her, so he didn’t need to rely on her or the family, ever.
That aside, he was curious about something else.
He took out his laptop and searched out, ’When does one feel it is okay to get therapy?’
And then the results came in. Even those who had simple nightmares needed therapy. Unnecessarily stressed? Get therapy. Heartbroken to the point of tears very often? Get therapy.
There were so many light problems, and they could all get therapy to feel better.
Ah, so, what had he, who had major issues, been doing all along that he never thought to go see a therapist?
Maybe his fears were one of the reasons he couldn’t think of it.
He was scared of letting anyone know the thing that happened to him with Mr Kim and he shuddered over the slightest sexual advance, so, with the thought of never letting anyone know and trying to get over it on his own, he would absolutely never think of going to see a therapist.
"Then, should I book a session?" He wondered out loud but felt he would need to ask Minwoo about that first, in case he already had that covered.
He looked at the time. It was a few minutes past 12. Would he be awake at that time?
Maybe he was getting it hot with Sungho, hehe.
Anyway, he would just call. If he didn’t pick the first time then he would let it be.
The phone rang twice and then Minwoo picked up,
"Ah, you’re awake." Dongwoo said. "I hope I’m not disturbing you or anything."
"No, I was already awake." Minwoo said. "Hyung, is something wrong? Why did you call so late at night? And you sound lively too. Haven’t you had any sleep yet?"
"Well, I did, but then I woke up cause I was thirsty. And then I couldn’t go back to sleep, so I was looking through the therapy stuff. I don’t know but I feel excited about it and wanted to book a session. But then I decided to call you first and ask. Can I book a session?"
Minwoo sighed, relieved, and said,
"Don’t worry about that, Hyung. I already got the contact of an expert. I’ll book it. You can go to sleep. Or, if you can’t sleep, watch a movie." He said. "You’ll feel drowsy better that way."
"Ah, alright." Dongwoo answered but felt the way Minwoo was answering was a bit strange. Was it his voice? It was almost like he had a cough or something.
Or maybe it was because he woke up not too long ago, so his voice wasn’t clearly open.
"Then, I’ll cut the call. You have to go to sleep too, okay? Don’t leave the space in the bed empty for too long, hehe."
Dongwoo cut the call and faced his laptop.
"Hah, now, how do I fall asleep?" He thought of ways other than watching a movie. "
They slept rather early so he felt so refreshed after hours of sleep. But it was surprising that the twins were deep in sleep. They usually went to sleep late but still woke up early. But this time, they had gone to sleep late, and yet they were still heavy in sleep.
"Hehe, I’ll go find a bit of trouble." He snuck back to the room to dig his own grave.
