Chapter 227: He wanted to be a photographer

"Who are you?"

That question was probably not directed at his name, since he had already introduced himself.

Eunwoo looked at Geum Jaeho and felt they were almost the same age, but Jaeho was a little shorter than he was.

"I am Dongwoo Hyung’s photography assistant, working at Wailers." He introduced himself and Jaeho’s eyes sparkled.

His attitude changed right away and he smiled,

"You work with my master? Why didn’t you say so?" He said, like a pup wagging its tail. Then, he smiled and said, "Let’s get along well in the future."

Dongwoo closed his eyes, feeling a sense of deja vu. Eunwoo acted like that as soon as he met Taiha. His attitude changed right away and he was almost unrecognizable.

But that change stuck around after that since he became quite likable.

Eunwoo was a bit confused but he looked at Dongwoo and saw that he was not surprised with this, so he assumed Jaeho was originally like that.

"Then, shall we go back inside for now?" Dongwoo asked. "Geum Jaeho, I might actually need your help."

Hearing that, Jaeho’s ear perked up in excitement. Knowing Dongwoo might need his help got him all fired up.

"What do you need my help for, master? Are you planning on an awesome shoot that needs my assistance or anything related to the camera?"

Dongwoo shook his head and his expectations fell.

"Then...?"

They got back into the cafe and Dongwoo narrated that he was trying to get things to work out between Geumtae and Eunwoo.

Jaeho’s face contorted and he said,

"What in the world did you find likable in that brother of mine?" He asked. "He’s a pervert. A flirtatious snake. Did he perhaps entice you through some trick or treat? Believe me, my brother is not a good person."

He stated bluntly, not even trying to cover up any bit of his brother’s former attitudes.

It made Dongwoo feel awkward.

"I don’t think Geumtae will be comfortable with you talking like this about him." He said.

"Well, not everyone is pleased with the truth." He said and moved his gaze to Eunwoo. "Take my advice, pick someone else. My brother doesn’t deserve any devotion of any kind, especially when it has to do with love."

They all went silent and Eunwoo raised his head.

"Thank you for the advice, but I can’t do that." He said. "If it’s not him, there can never be another."

He looked down at his coffee.

"Even if I have to suffer for it, even if he doesn’t love me from the start, I already fell for him and my feelings won’t die. The reason it has to be him, I will never know but I do hope it’s right. I do hope it didn’t pick the wrong person."

Jaeho was lost. What in the world was he talking about and who was picking who?

He could understand and he didn’t want to.

He shook his head.

"Geum Jaeho," Dongwoo called.

"No need to be too formal, master. You can just call me Jaeho." Jaeho said and Dongwoo nodded.

"Jaeho," he called and Jaeho smiled, feeling pleased and that they were getting along. "You may not understand but if you agree to help out, if you agree to be the cupid in this case," he almost laughed at his own words but stayed stern and serious, "I’ll owe you a favor." He said and Jaeho’s ears perked up.

"A favor?" He leaned forward. "What kind of favor?"

"Anyone that has to do with photography. I can help you any way I can in that field." He said. "But you’ll have to help as much as you plan to take. Keep that in mind."

Geum Jaeho thought deeply about it. What he wanted more than anything was to get into a good company where he could be a photographer. With no restraints and no one to keep an eye on him on his brother’s behalf.

He couldn’t say he was that great with his photography skills but he wanted to do it. He would grow with time, after being exposed in the field.

He wanted to become a photographer, even if his brothers denied him that career.

"Then, will you accept me as your assistant as well?" He asked, and Dongwoo blinked, twice. "And in your spare time, you’ll give me photography lessons."

That was a... That was a reasonable request but making him his assistant? Well, he would need to talk to Taiha about that first, right?

No, he wanted to be his assistant and not Taiha’s so he would be the only one handling this.

"Alright." He answered and Jaeho’s eyes widened in delight while Eunwoo’s eyes widened in surprise. "But I’m a bit busy this period, so the lessons will have to be pushed back a bit."

"That won’t be a problem." Jaeho exclaimed loudly in excitement. He realized it and toned down a bit, repeating his words a little silently. "That won’t be a problem."

"Is this okay?" Eunwoo asked. "I mean, if you want to get an assistant like this, you’ll be dipping into your own pocket."

"Oh well, it’s fine." Dongwoo said. "I’m getting paid a lot anyway. A little dip into my pocket once a month won’t be a hassle."

"Why... Are you going so far to help me?" Eunwoo asked. "You’re not obligated to do it."

"Well, let’s just say," he smiled softly. "...I want you to have a beautiful love story."

His eyes glimmered and one could tell he was having that beautiful love story as he said those words. The kind of bliss he felt from love, he wanted Eunwoo to experience it too.

Their relationship might start off bumpy but once Eunwoo’s feelings get reciprocated, it’ll all be roses and flowers after.

And he was doing this from Geumtae as well.

He hated to admit it but it seemed Geumtae had genuine feelings for him. Those unreciprocated feelings were biting his heart, he was sure of it.

So, if he could have someone else to throw those feelings to, he would feel much better. He knew it.

"Well, if you’re worried about the pay," Jaeho spoke up. "...you don’t need to bother. I still get a nice monthly allowance even after graduating from college so all I need to do is stick close to you and learn all I can."

The two sitting in front of him stared at him with squinted eyes.

There was suddenly this golden halo around his head.

’Ah, the light of a kid born with a silver spoon in their mouth.’ Dongwoo thought and then chuckled.

"Also, I’ll need to be very careful while working with you." Jaeho added.

"How come?" Dongwoo asked.

"Well, since my eldest brother is the CEO and he doesn’t want me working in the entertainment industry, I’ll need to be careful not to get caught." He said, and Dongwoo blinked.

"Wait, Geum Haejoo is your eldest brother?!" He asked, shocked.

"Uh, yes. I thought you’d have found that out since you’re always hanging out with Taeho Hyung."

Dongwoo blinked once more. Ah, no wonder he felt he looked familiar when he met him at that anniversary party that one time.

So, Geumtae was connected with Wailers all along? But why didn’t he say anything about it?
