Chapter 219: Lick up the dirt you have put on my shoes

"Seojin?" Dongwoo called and Seojin answered right away,

"Yes, Hyung?"

"Come in for a moment. We need to talk." He said but just as Seojin took a step up the little stairs connected to the door, an unexpected and definitely uninvited guest arrived.

"Ah, is the shoot over already?" The soft yet proud tone of a young lady rang in their ears and they turned to see who it was. "I thought I could’ve at least been able to cheer you on but I seem to have arrived late."

She said as she took off her shades, to reveal herself as Song Haijin, popularly known as Rose in the entertainment industry. A lady who was as ’delicate’ as a rose and sharp when it came to her work.

She beamed a smile at them and said,

"But I do hope I did not intrude."

Dongwoo stared at her, as well as everyone else, wondering what she was doing at their filming site.

She had two bodyguards behind her, and her male assistant trailed slowly from behind as he had his face glued to his phone with both ears blocked with his earpiece.

"Song Haijin?" Dongwoo muttered.

Taiha stopped what he was doing and stepped forward.

"It’s not every day you meet a supermodel on someone else’s site. What do we owe this ’pleasant’ surprise?" Though he said that, it was clear that he found this the most unpleasant.

Especially at a time like this, where one of his models just beat up a guy till he was half dead.

"Well, nice to meet you too, director. It’s been a while." She said, still beaming her bright and confident smile. "So, you see, I was in the area and heard your crew was filming close by. So I thought," she glanced up towards Seojin, and her smile flickered into a grin. "... I’d drop by and say hi to the people I’ll be working with, in a few days."

"Working with?" Dongwoo wondered out loud, and was as confused as the others but Seojin didn’t seem surprised, and neither did Taiha.

He sighed and said,

"Well, I appreciate it, but we were already parking up, and it wouldn’t be advisable to have you around at such times. You could get hurt." He said.

"Oh, that’s okay. I could just stick around where there’s no crowd." She said, and once again, her eyes trailed towards Seojin, but this time, she was staring at the bunker. "If you would, may I rest in your bunker for a while?" She asked, her question directed at Seojin.

Everyone turned their gaze to Seojin while Taiha placed his hand on his head, feeling a headache coming up.

"Miss Song Haijin, are you not scared of sparking a rumor?" He asked but Song Haijin couldn’t care less.

In fact, if a rumor did spark from this, it would be great.

"No, I don’t mind. After all, it’s only us here. I don’t believe your team has a tattle tale, and my guards will be tight-lipped too, so it’s all good." She smiled brightly. "Or, is this just a polite way of refusing me?"

’Obviously.’ the entire crew thought.

Song Haijin, being so beautiful like a rose, was adored and loved by many, but not by those who knew her true character. Yes, she may be a delicate rose in the camera and on screen and maybe in public events but those who have worked with her have seen clearly the thorns her petals hide.

She was a crazy lady who was obsessed with fame, obsessed with things she could not have, and obsessed with keeping those below her exactly there. Below her feet.

She was rude and that smile would never fool her.

They had worked together once, but not all of them. Just a select few, and at that time, she had completely humiliated Yaeran, who was nothing but a newbie then. She worked part-time but was hoping to get a full-time job soon.

And with a little mistake, Yaeran accidentally stepped on her shoe, Song Haijin pulled her hair and threw her to the ground with a menacing glare, and yelled at her.

"Lick off the dirt you have put on my shoes right away." She had said and that day, Yaeran cried as she did not know what to do.

To lick the dirt off her shoe was the only option as she would never be able to afford the shoe she was wearing or pay for her mistakes.

It was thanks to Taiha’s intervention then that Yaeran was able to get out of that mess.

But the rest of the crew got to know what happened, and their image of Song Haijin fell flat from there.

They would give disgusted looks at any cover she was displayed on and as she acted all nice and kind on TV shows, it made them even more disgusted.

How can she be such a two-faced bitch?

Since then, Taiha has never worked with her again. Now, she found a way to convince the CEO of a popular cover magazine that she would collaborate with the twins for the new issue.

It was a fantastic idea and the title for that would be, ’Adonis’. So, the twins were to pose shirtless with Song Haijin dressed in a thin-layer dress.

It was mostly going to display their allure and at the same time, give off a seductive feel, with obsession right behind it.

Yes, the cover was going to make it look like the twins were obsessed with Song Haijin but that was there was to it.

They honestly would’ve never agreed to that if not for Geum Haejoo.

Yaeran, at the side, rubbed her arms feeling the tremor she felt at that time revisit her.

The people around her tried to make her feel better so she wouldn’t think about it.

"No." Taiha said. "It’s not like that but I am weary of rumors and your image, so..."

"Oh, don’t worry." Song Haijin smiled. "I’ll stay in the bunker, haha."

Dongwoo couldn’t tell why she was so adamant about staying in the bunker, and because he was new to the crew, he did not know how horrible Song Haijin was in real life.

"Well, if she just wants to sit, there’s plenty of space." Dongwoo said and they turned to him. "And if there’s someone else in with them, it won’t spark a rumor, right?"

He gave that suggestion but the crew did not seem happy about it. They had this anxious look on their faces and he wondered if he said something wrong.

This idea got Song Haijin excited and she said,

"Ah, what a wonderful idea. Shinwoo, come in with us so we don’t spark a rumor."

As soon as Song Haijin said that, Dongwoo flinched.

’Shinwoo?’ he thought but shook his head. ’No, it could be a coincidence.’ he convinced himself but it did not make him feel any better.

Song Haijin didn’t get a response and turned back.

"Where’s Shinwoo?" She asked, and the guards gave way to reveal her assistant, who was head deep in his phone’s screen. "Ah, there you are. Come on, you’re getting distracted again."

Shinwoo, realizing Song Haijin was talking to him, raised his head and took off his earpiece. Then, he asked,

"You called?"

As soon as Dongwoo saw who it was, his heart crumbled and he reached out for the nearest thing to keep him safe.

And what his hand happened to catch was Seojin’s shirt.

Seojin looked down at him, wondering why he had suddenly clutched onto his shirt, only to find a frightened expression plastered on Dongwoo’s face, standing in the direction of Song Haijin. No, it wasn’t Song Haijin. It was that guy.

The one with glasses and an earpiece stuck in one ear.

But he could not understand. Why was he so frightened by the sight of him? Wait...

Seojin’s gaze suddenly went cold as a thought flashed through his mind,

’Is he one of the people that hurt Hyung in the past?’
