Chapter 195: Dongwoo-ssi, Can... can we talk?

Dongwoo stared at Eunwoo.

Well, it was definitely a story out of a fictional book. Fantasy, perhaps?

Well, it didn’t matter. What mattered was that Eunwoo had seen Geumtae in his dream like he was some mystery man and they were even having sex too.

He had such a wild story but as it was hard to believe him, it was even harder not to believe him.

There was just so much detail and the sincerity in his eyes could not be fabricated.

"I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true, and I...I feel complete around him. It was like that in my dream and even when I held his hand. It was confirmation that he was the one. So, even if you don’t believe me, I’ll try to..."

"I believe you." He said, and Eunwoo looked up at him, surprised. "It’s a bit much but I have no reason to believe you."

"So, will you help me?"

"Get together with Geumtae? I don’t know but I could talk to him for you. But I’m guessing he won’t want to speak with you that easily, given the way you approached him." He said, and Eunwoo bowed his head.

"Sorry."

"No, it’s okay. I can tell you were shocked and your reaction was practically lenient compared to a real crazy person." He explained and laughed. "But how is this possible?"

"What do you mean?"

"For you to see your destined one like you did in your dreams. Is it like that in your family?"

"Well, there were times when my mother used to say she met my father in her dreams before meeting him in real life and that her father, my grandfather, was also the same. He met my grandmother in his dreams first. So, she advised me not to date anyone unless I met them in my dreams first." He shook his head as he recollected the serene environment he lived in back then.

They were a small family but they were happy, always joking around and laughing. His life was great until he turned 20.

"Back then, I always thought it was just some fabricated talk and that it was all in her head." He said and laughed softly. "I realized it was all true after I started having those dreams. I wish I could tell her that she was right all along and it wasn’t in her head."

With the way his expression shifted with a bit of sadness, Dongwoo realized his mother might be no more. It was probably a sad experience so he thought against asking about it and said something else.

"Well, then it seems it’s a gift in your family line. It’s magical." Dongwoo said. "So, did she also tell you how she started having her own dreams?"

"She didn’t go into details and wasn’t very sure if that was the reason, but in her workplace, there was a new employee in her workplace. After welcoming him that day, she started having her dreams. It turned out it was my dad’s best friend at the time." He explained.

’So, for him to start having the dreams of his destined one, he had to come in contact with someone connected to them.’ Dongwoo thought.

At least, that was what he made out of it.

He sighed.

What a thriller?!

"Alright, I’ll do what I can to talk to Geumtae but I can’t do that all the time since we’re busy." Dongwoo said and picked up his lunchbox. "For now, let’s focus on work, okay?"

"Alright. Thank you, boss." He looked delighted as he got up to leave.

Dongwoo watched him leave and sighed. It was magical.

He looked at the food, still thinking.

His encounter with the twins had been anything but magical, but with the way they met, and the circumstances that led them to meet, he was sure as hell that their meeting was destined somewhere, and though not a wonderful thing, their separation was also necessary to build up something between them.

Neither forgot the other during such a long separation. Wasn’t that already magical?

Dongwoo made sure to order the party supplies and started planning out the time he would use to make the decorations.

When they would shoot the ad for ’Twins Kiss’ he would be free then. The twins would’ve liked him to come with them but that would be the only chance he was free to set up the decorations, so he would use that opportunity.

They may get disappointed but once they got back and saw the surprise he had in store for him, they would eventually come around and understand why he couldn’t be there.

"I really wanted to be there with them though." He muttered.

"Dongwoo-ssi." He heard Minwoo’s voice and raised his head to find him standing in front of him. The bruise on his cheek was gone, thankfully. "Can... Can we talk?"

Dongwoo stared at him for a minute and then looked at the things in front of him. Could he decline the request?

He also wanted to talk to him but he didn’t feel like it yet. He... Wasn’t ready.

"Please," Minwoo added and Dongwoo pursed his lips.

With that expression on his face, how was he going to decline?

"Alright." He said. "But not here. Let’s go to the rooftop."

The rooftop, where people often went to take a few puffs from a cigarette to calm their nerves and worries.

The rooftop, where people made secret conversations without worrying that someone would be listening since it was an open space where anyone and everyone was in sight.

They got to the rooftop and Minwoo took off his glasses. He held it in one hand and used the other to swipe his hair back, stopping the interruption of the wind.

"You know, I tried so many things to differ my appearance from yours." He began and smiled sadly, staring at the glasses. "But it just never worked out the way I wanted." He looked up at him. "I would still end up taking off my glasses and once I did, I would see you in the mirror, staring at me with hate in your eyes."

Dongwoo did not know where he was going with that but he could see sadness. A deep and crushing sadness in Minwoo’s eyes.

...In his brother’s eyes.

Minwoo bit his lip and finally said the words that were weighing down on his head.

"I am sorry, Minwoo." He said,

(Note that he is apologizing to Dongwoo using his real name. Minwoo)

"I am sorry for being so reckless back then and even now, unknowingly causing you pain with my actions. I am sorry that you fell off that cliff instead of me. I am sorry you were taken away from your family because of me. I am sorry that you almost died, and I am sorry," he breathed hard as tears rolled down his cheeks. "...I am sorry I could never be a responsible younger brother to you or a great and perfect son to mother and father in your place. I am sorry."

(SPOILER ReViEW, May not be the next Chapter though! Ahem!)

’When their career restricted them from taking action, they had to stand by and watch Minwoo defend Dongwoo. He did the thing they could not do but wanted to do.’
