Chapter 145: My wife needs me so I’ll duck out first
Dongwoo could still feel like something was stuck in his butt but that was just the aftermath of having Seojun’s big cock shoved up his ass about an hour ago.
’It was definitely worth it.’
Then, he noticed everyone had grown silent and looking toward the end of the table. He raised his head to see what they were looking at, only to find Minwoo standing in front of their table with a bottle of soju in his hand.
"Lee Dongwoo-ssi, can I... Pour you a drink?" He offered.
Dongwoo went silent for a while and then looked down at the table as if searching for the answers there. Well, it was only one drink, right?
Minwoo felt Dongwoo might end up rejecting him, but he kept his hopes up and stood there.
"Alright." Dongwoo said, much to his excitement. He watched Dongwoo raise his empty glass and say, "Here’s to the addition of our crew."
"Right." Minwoo said and poured his glass half, acting considerate as he did not want to be the reason Dongwoo suddenly got drunk. Plus, the twins had eyes that could petrify him, clearly warning him.
But that side, he felt so excited. He got to pour his brother a drink for the first time in his life. He wished he could commemorate it somehow.
"The new member needs to bottle up a lot." Taiha suddenly said. "You shouldn’t be pouring drinks but getting poured. Where’s your glass?"
Minwoo brought his glass from his table and got his first pour from Taiha. He drank it in one gulp and the next person to pour his glass full was Doha.
"Sorry, we couldn’t give you a proper welcome." She said. "We’ll compensate with this." She said, smiling widely.
"Ah, it’s okay." Minwoo said.
Others took turns filling his glass but he was still far from getting drunk. He did have a flushed face from being overwhelmed and gulping down faster than he could handle.
Dongwoo simply watched as this unfolded before him. That was better. The atmosphere was no longer stiff but with the twins... It was like they were staring at a piece of shit.
It looked like it was going to take a while to get them to loosen up with Minwoo. He hoped not too long though. Minwoo looked like a very dependable person and might help them quite a lot.
"Haha, you’re such a good drinker." Taiha said and filled his glass once more. "Go on, drink till you slump."
"But don’t we have to work tomorrow?" Minwoo asked.
"That’s true but we should live the moment to the fullest and worry about tomorrow when it comes." Dooshik said. "It’s how we always do."
Minwoo looked at his reflection in his drink and exclaimed.
"I see." He gulped it down and said, "Then, I will have one last glass." His eyesight landed on Dongwoo, who was so busy eating meat that the twins wouldn’t stop stacking on his plate.
They looked like they were in their own world and anyone who didn’t understand would mistake them for being lovers. No one could confirm that though. It just looked like they had a great relationship with Dongwoo being the soft one among them.
"Stop, I can take care of it myself." Dongwoo complained over Seojin’s attempt to clean the corners of his mouth with a napkin. "You’re going to make people misunderstand. Stop."
"Lee Dongwoo?" Minwoo suddenly called and Dongwoo looked up.
The twins also turned their attention to the nuisance and found him stretching his glass to Dongwoo.
"Could you please... Pour me a glass?" He requested. "It... It would mean a lot to me."
Dongwoo went silent, looking at the glass and Minwoo gulped.
’Is this being too forward? I don’t want him to think I’m talking liberties and...’ his thoughts stopped running as he saw Dongwoo pick up a bottle of soju and pour his glass.
"There." He said. "Anything else?"
Minwoo looked at the glass softly and shook his head.
"No, this is fine." He said. "Thank you."
He actually smiled and though Dongwoo did not expect it, he smiled back.
"Welcome to the crew."
He might’ve not accepted him as his brother but being a part of the same team meant they would spend a lot of moments together so, putting aside the awkward and painful start between them, he decided to think responsibly and accept him as a valuable teammate who would help the twins grow as they embarked on this journey to stardom.
Everyone was slumped, drunk on more than three bottles of Soju, but Dongwoo, as well as the twins, seemed to be fine.
Dongwoo wasn’t allowed to drink too much, Seojin had one hell of alcohol tolerance, and Seojun did not drink because he would be driving.
Taiha left about half an hour ago and that was when Dongwoo actually discovered he had a family. He mentioned them when picking up his coat.
"My wife needs me so I’ll duck out first." He said to Dongwoo’s surprise.
Well, he was old enough to have a family but since he never once mentioned it and the news did not carry it either, he had no idea.
"Haha, you must not know." Doha said in a drunken voice. "Uncle’s got a cute little girl too. She’s like a giant walnut, haha, so cute."
And that was also when he discovered Doha was Taiha’s niece.
’Wow, there’s still so much I don’t know about.’ he thought and looked up to see Seojin having a drinking contest with some of the crew members.
They just wouldn’t admit defeat. Seojin had drunk a lot yet he was still so bright in the face, smiling as he watched them slump in defeat but still insist on going on.
’It’s fun crushing them.’ That was the thought Dongwoo read from his expression.
Dongwoo placed his elbow on the table and rested his chin on his palm, staring at Seojin and wondering...
’Now that they’ve told me that their expressions are fake, I can’t help but read the opposite of their expressions.’ he thought. ’Seojin’s smiling so brightly now but I feel he’s just enjoying their suffering. Has it always been like that?’
"I’m going out for a sec, Hyung." Seojun said, checking his phone, and he nodded.
Now, at that table, there was just him and Minwoo left.
Minwoo was a bit red in the face, but his thoughts were still clear and were fixed firmly on Dongwoo.
Years of being an assistant and secretary strengthened his alcohol tolerance so that much couldn’t get him drunk.
Then, Dongwoo remembered what Sungho said and said,
"Minwoo, can you step out with me for a minute? I need to talk to you about something."
