Chapter 131: What does this prove?

Chapter 131: What does this prove?

Haejoo simply smiled and said,

"Such a feisty temper. Does your beloved Hyung know this side of you as well?" He asked and Seojun raised his fist, ready to pummel his face. "Ah, looks like I struck a nerve."

"He’s going to hit you if you don’t start talking." Seojin said. "I’m not the violent type but if you push it, I just might hit you as well."

It was a threat.

These two... To think he used these brats so much that it came back to bite him. He knew they weren’t simple kids when he first met them, but he never imagined they’d grow up to become so scheming and violent.

Well, with all the tantrums they threw back then, it was only a matter of time before it manifested into a violent personality.

Or wait, did he have a hand in it? Well, it seemed like it, knowing what he made them do just so he could materialize his own desires.

"Then, take your seats." He said. "It’s not a long story but I can’t let our ’stars’ stand, right?"

Seojun clicked his tongue and shoved him into his seat.

"You better not be messing with us." He said while glaring daggers at him.

Seojin silently took a seat and stared at Haejoo with bloodthirsty eyes, waiting for his explanation.

Seojun did the same and with both pairs of eyes threatening to squash him like a bug, he cleared his throat and started his explanation.

"So, you see, I’ve been searching for a manager for you from the day you agreed to sign, and among the list of applicants, this ’Dongwoo’ was one of them." He explained. "I found it suspicious that his appearance and name were similar to that of your Hyung, so I decided to see him up close and interviewed him personally."

The twins were silently following his story and he nodded.

He hated that he had to feel so fragile in front of them. For God’s sake, he was over ten years older than them. How could they be so frightening?

"Lee Dongwoo seemed pretty determined to be your manager and his skills were also amazing. It also seemed interesting how he had a goal in mind and since I didn’t have any reasons to refuse, I hired him right off the bat."

"What goal are you talking about? If he seemed suspicious, why did you let him in?" Seojun asked but Haejoo simply smiled, refusing to answer that question right away.

"Then, did you at least run a background check on him?" Seojin asked. "I don’t believe you’d keep your curiosity to yourself."

"Haha, of course I did. And funny what I found." He drew out his drawer and brought out a brown envelope with the file they would very much want to see. "So, it turns out your little manager is from a conglomerate family. The Lee family. And his aim, as I’ve guessed, is to find his long-lost twin."

Their eyes widened. Was that a joke? What twin?

Seojun accepted the file and opened it.

In it was the information containing the new manager’s name, birth and also, a picture of the family.

"What does this prove?" Seojun asked feeling irritated. "This doesn’t show that Hyung is his twin or whatnot."

"Take a look at the next picture." Haejoo said and Seojun flipped the picture, only for him to see a family portrait with not just one Dongwoo but two of them in their earlier years.

Dongwoo looked like he was 4 years old at the time and he was standing next to his supposed twin.

"That was the last family portrait taken before their son’s disappearance." Haejoo said.

Seojin snatched it from him and took a good look at it.

He couldn’t believe it. It was actually true.

Dongwoo had a twin.

Behind that picture were news reports of a missing ’Lee Minwoo’.

It was confusing. Just how in the world did Dongwoo come to bear Dongwoo and how did he get separated from his family?

A big conglomerate family like that definitely wouldn’t search for their son half heartedly so how did they never find him?

’No, this is alright.’ Seojin thought. ’Whatever happened, no matter how Hyung ended up the way he was, what’s important is that we got to meet him.’

He got up and dropped the files on Haejoo’s desk.

"You’re always finding a way to entertain yourself with us." He said. "Don’t be a stuck up bastard and focus on more important things."

With that, he walked away.

Seojun, however, did not leave yet. He was deep in thought. Angry thoughts.

Just when they finally get to be with their beloved Hyung after getting him to accept them, this annoying variable crops up and tries to occupy Dongwoo’s mind.

With this, he wouldn’t have time to think of them anymore.

He glared at Haejoo. He was lucky he didn’t carry his braces. If not, his face might’ve gotten a bad makeover.

He slowly got up from his chair and sighed.

"I won’t let anyone with bad intentions come close to Hyung." He said.

"Well, you’re in luck. There’s no bad intention anywhere." Haejoo said and leaned back to rest on his chair, grinning in a provoking way. "Just a family hoping to reunite with their lost child."

That was even more infuriating to think about.

Seojun kicked his desk hard and turned to leave.

When Dongwoo had nothing and no one next to him, the twins were sure he would be the only one he could run to, and they were the only ones who could comfort him and give him attention.

They would take away his loneliness, his pain, and his stress. They would shower him with love and care that no one else would.

They were certain he would be the only one they would need and that was their thoughts up until a few minutes ago.

All that was ruined and all because his family suddenly popped out of nowhere.

Seojun met up with Seojin who was standing in front of the elevator.

"This is the worst." He gritted his teeth. "How do you think Hyung will take this news?" He asked. "He’s always been alone, with no family and no support. Will he accept them with open arms?"

"I don’t think so." Seojin said. "Hyung won’t easily accept."

He has been thinking about Dongwoo’s reaction as well. In any case, if it was the Dongwoo he knew very well, he knew how he would react once he was told the truth.

"Precisely because he has been alone and without a family." He added as the elevator doors opened. "He won’t accept them just because they claim to be his family, even with evidence. Hyung isn’t that weak-minded."

The elevator doors closed.

(Deidara_Supremacy you just read too much into it. Dongwoo is a long lost twin, haha. Sorry, I can’t reply to comments normally cause I broke the law so I’m doing it through this)
