That was risky just now. I almost gave in without realizing it.

He was probably referring to Taiha’s free nature where he wrapped his arms around my neck in a friendly gesture. But I was sure that was all there was to his actions. Nothing more.

"I... I’m sure he doesn’t have bad intentions." I said.

"Why are you defending him? You could never know what he has in his mind." Seojun said.

"I’m sure he has nothing in his mind concerning me." I said. "He helps me a lot and if he had other plans, he would’ve shown his true colors by now." I said.

To be honest, I was a bit suspicious of Taiha’s intentions when I had just joined the crew but he beat my suspicions to the ground.

All he had in his heart was to help me and he proved that at the anniversary party.

"Don’t worry. If he does change, I’ll know how to handle it." I said, smiling to assure them.

"It’s just jealousy, nothing else." Seojun said, darting his eyes aside. "We will only let those who can help Hyung stick around. Anyone suspicious will be immediately exposed."

Oh, look at him talking like he had the power to do it.

It was cute. Their jealousy was cute too.

I never had anyone here jealous for my sake before so it made me feel special.

"Alright, I’ll go open the door." I said, but Seojin kissed my lips, twirling his tongue in my mouth quite roughly as if trying to get a loud reaction from me.

"That’s... That’s enough." I said, covering his mouth. "He’s been at the door for too long. He’ll get suspicious."

Seojin blinked, surprised that I covered his mouth to stop him from kissing me further, and then he grinned, licking my palm.

It startled me and I squealed.

"Eek!"

"Kiddo, are you okay? You’re taking long." He said, and my face flushed. Why did he lick my palm?

"I... I’m coming." I said but this time, it was Seojun who blocked me. He smirked as he stared down at me and whispered,

"Hyung, at least give me a hug." He said.

I was hesitant.

Taiha would definitely get suspicious that something was going on as soon as the twins walked out.

But if they delayed even more... I bit my lip lightly while staring at him who wanted to get a hug by all means.

"F-fine." I said and hugged him.

But then, he caught my butt cheeks and squeezed them.

It took a lot out of me to keep my voice down. I almost squealed a second time and that wouldn’t have ended well.

Seojun kissed my cheek and then let go.

"So, Kiddo, you’ve been the twins’ inactive manager for a while now but that won’t be the case going forward. They need a manager who can tend to them right away and take care of their schedules so you’re off the grid." He explained and I nodded.

That was a given.

My role as inactive manager was just to make sure they were present for the shoot. And I didn’t even need to do much because they were such obedient boys who stuck to the schedule given to them and didn’t slack off.

"They’re such good boys." I blurted out by accident and Taiha looked at me blankly. ’Ah, my big mouth. He’s going to think I’m weird.’ I thought.

But surprisingly, Taiha laughed and said,

"They are, aren’t they? They’re so good looking and shot to fame in no time but they don’t put on airs. They’re nice to the crew too. I hope things stay like this." He said and I inwardly sighed.

At that moment, I remembered when the twins confessed that all they did when they were not with me was an act, and I was the only one to whom they were genuinely nice to.

Thinking about it made me happy but I felt it was making me weird. Why would I be happy over such things in the first place?

’Should I really be happy about that? I mean, they’re pretending to be nice in front of everyone else.’ I shot my eyes for a moment and came to a conclusion. ’I’ll just think of it as an effort to get along with everyone and not make enemies. If I think about it like that, it’ll make things better in my head.’

"Hey, kiddo, are you listening?" Taiha asked and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Ah, sorry, come again?" He looked at me for a few seconds and sighed.

"Don’t let the game get to your head just yet. You’re just at the starting point." He said. He must’ve thought I was thinking about the news articles but my mind was in a completely different direction.

In any case, I bowed my head and said,

"Yes. I will work hard to do my best."
