Chapter 124: Ah, it seems I’m growing even more greedy

The next day, we had to go to the company and listen to the new shooting schedule. But thankfully, it was in the afternoon so I had time to rest before leaving.

"Are you heading to your apartment, Hyung?" Seojin asked and I lifted my head. I was holding on to the wall for support while making my way to the door.

I had hoped not to alert them but I got caught.

"Haha, yeah." I said with an awkward smile. "You’re the one who fed Lily last night, right? Well, it’s morning and I have to feed her again. As well as getting my clothes ready for work later."

Seojin looked at me a bit sadly. I wondered what was on his mind. And then, he said,

"Hyung, I really liked spending time with you. Yesterday and the day before." He said. "It was fun."

I almost felt touched but got suspicious that he was referring to the sex and nothing else.

As if reading my mind, Seojin laughed and said,

"It was like we were living together." He smiled. "Aside from the sex, having you so close by felt nice. If only we could remain like this."

"Then I would probably get an early funeral." I accidentally let my thoughts slip and pursed my lips. "Haha, I mean, it’s nice living together but I’m trying to consider your reputation. People could suddenly get suspicious, you know."

He looked at me with those same sad eyes from earlier. It was like he was trying to tell me he didn’t care and all he wanted was me but I didn’t want to read unnecessary meaning to it so I shook my head and said,

"Well, I’ll get going on." I smiled. "I also enjoyed spending time with you two."

My words seemed to warm his heart because after hearing them, his eyes lit up quite a lot.

"I’ll walk you to your apartment." He offered and I nodded.

I leaned on him till we got to my apartment. He insisted on helping me to the couch and so I let him in.

After dropping me on the couch, he pecked me lightly on the cheek and said,

"We’ll take you to work, Hyung. So, don’t run off without us, okay?" He waved and walked out.

I stared at the door as if expecting him to suddenly come back and say more. But he didn’t. No one came and I dropped my head on the couch.

This space, it was similar to the twins’ apartment, but after living with them for just two days, sharing warmth and skinship, my apartment suddenly felt so huge and empty.

And thus, I secretly wished they could be there with me.

Realizing what I was thinking, I raised my head and exclaimed,

"Ah, it seems I’m growing even more greedy." I pursed my lips. "Don’t be greedy and don’t want what you can’t get." I recited my motto and then scoffed. "But what if it’s something I already have? Something that’s mine. I can be a tad bit greedy, right?"

I found no answer to my question and was interrupted by Lily who actually put it on herself to welcome me back.

She majestically got up the couch, rubbed her fur on my head and purred before lying down to rest.

"Ah, I don’t know if this is a welcome or if you’re just reminding me to give you food." I said and laughed at my own words. "I hope it’s the former. It’d break my heart if it wasn’t."

Talking to Lily used to be wholesome as well. Knowing I had another living creature in the same space as me made me happy that I would chatter away with her but it wasn’t enough anymore.

Two days. It was just two days.

I folded my legs and hugged my knees.

’Two days. All it took was spending two days with the twins to make me forget that I had lived a lonely life for such a long time. It took only two days to completely wipe that loneliness and leave me wanting more from them.’ I bowed my head. ’I... I don’t know anymore.’

I ended up falling asleep without realizing it. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep, hugging my knees, and fell over, lying carelessly on the couch.

The sound of two people talking woke me up and I found the twins in front of me, talking to one another.

I still couldn’t make out their words since I was just waking up but it seemed like they were arguing over something.

’Where am I? I thought I was in my apartment.’ I sat up and confirmed it was my apartment. ’What are they doing here?’

"Hyung needs to shine, let him wear white." Seojin said but Seojun strongly refuted.

"White isn’t exactly a shining color. In any case, I believe black would suit him better."

They were arguing over what I would wear.

I was dumbstruck. In disbelief. Speechless. Whatever you can call it.

I looked at the door first and then at them.

They walked in through my front door and decided they wanted to argue about what I would wear? Was it that important?

I’d usually just pick anything that looked okay and find a match. It wasn’t a big deal.

"Hm, what time is it?" I asked and they both turned to me.

"Hyung, you’re awake." They both chorused.

They were both gorgeously dressed and I figured it was already time to leave for work. Yet, I hadn’t done anything.

I hadn’t even fed Lily.

"Ah, yes." I said, rubbing my forehead. How did I fall asleep right away? "I seemed to have fallen asleep." I looked up at them. "Do you really have time to be worrying about what I’ll wear?"

"But it’s important." Once again, they were in sync.

So, why couldn’t they just be in sync with what they wanted me to wear?

"Anyway, please, leave it. I... I’ll go get changed and come out right away." I said, getting up from the couch.

I saw Lily in the corner eating. Someone had poured her her meal.

I looked back at the twins and thanked them.

"Thank you."

I didn’t want to ask who did it, especially because I’d be asked to reward them, and there was no time for that. They could be so playful sometimes.

"It’s not a problem, Hyung." Seojun said.

"We just wanted to make you have less to worry about." Seojin added, and I could swear I heard him mutter, "Though, it would be better to get rid of the cat altogether."

I knew they hated Lily but they couldn’t possibly have made such a harsh remark concerning her, right? Plus, with that sunshine smile? Impossible.

The twins may be mean at times, *ahem* but they weren’t wicked souls. They would never try to dispose of an innocent cat.

’Yes, I must’ve misheard.’

I walked towards my room, and their eyes followed me every step of the way. It made me feel stiff. Were they just going to stare at me?

It was making me nervous.

"You guys... Just sit down for a while. I won’t be long." I said and surprisingly, they obediently sat down.

It was a surprise but at least they were obedient, right?

I went into my room and picked up a random turtle neck sweater that would hide all the bite marks that those two mercilessly planted all over me.

’Thankfully, the weather isn’t that hot. And the air conditioner in the company is pretty great.’ I thought while I changed my clothes. ’Also, I have to make sure not to indulge the twins at the company.’

Even though I lifted the restriction, and they could freely engage in skinship at the company, I didn’t want to take risks and would try to avoid being along with them as much as possible.

When we were in the four walls of their apartment or mine, it was okay but when we were outside, it was not.

My paranoia would kick in and I would definitely get anxious if they tried to make a move outside.

They were models. We needed to make sure there was no room for rumors no matter what.
