Is It Wrong To Love My StepBrother Alpha Mate? -
Chapter 79: The Next Blackmoon Generation
Chapter 79: The Next Blackmoon Generation
Something was off.
Something felt wrong.
"Helena, did you just wet your pants?" Victor asked as he stared at her. "Shit, I didn’t mean to scare you Hel."
Helena looked down.
She didn’t wet herself.
"Victor, go get my sister, Rae," Helena said as calmly as she could.
She knew there was a chance this would happen even before she set foot in Sunfire City. At least now she had access to safety as well as the best doctors possible.
"W— w— what?" Victor asked, stuttering.
"For fucks sake, Victor, my water just broke," Helena shouted. "Get my best friend and take me to the hospital."
"Oh, shit, shit shit," Victor started cursing as he ran up the stairs. "Rae, Helena’s giving birth!"
"What?!" Helena heard Rae shriek as she walked over to grab the hospital bag she’d prepared.
She knew that the baby was due any moment and she was only hoping to make it into Sunfire in time.
It seemed that they made it, but only barely.
"Okay, let’s get you to the hospital," Victor said as he and Rae came rushing down the stairs. "I called my driver, he’s already waiting."
Helena gave him a nod before following with Rae by her side.
The drive was silent as Victor sat anxiously in the front seat and Helena bore the pain of the contractions in silence.
As soon as they pulled up to the hospital, the nurses and doctors were quick to help Helena out of the car and wheel her to the delivery room.
They’d seen Victor’s car and everyone knew that if the Alpha showed up to the hospital, he was the top priority.
After almost twenty-four hours in labor, Helena managed to bring to the world a surprisingly quiet baby boy.
"Well, there’s no doubt who that one’s dad is," Victor chuckled as he looked at the baby boy who was peacefully sleeping in his mother’s arms.
"Got the whole brooding Alpha down to a T from birth," Rae chuckled as she looked at her nephew.
"What’s his name?" Victor asked.
"Ronan Vincent," Helena managed to choke out. "Ronan Vincent Blackmoon."
"Well, that’s a powerful name if I’ve ever heard one," Victor chuckled. "And he’s probably going to be the richest and most powerful Alpha of his generation."
Helena smiled at her son.
She knew a lot would be expected of him as he grew up.
He wouldn’t just be an Alpha of one pack, but with the way things were going, it seemed like he’d be the Alpha of three packs and potentially the Grand warlock’s heir.
"He will be, but right now he’s just Ronan, my Ronan," Helena told them as she leaned down and planted a kiss on her baby’s head.
"Well, while little Ronan was being born, he was already causing chaos for us," Victor chuckled.
"Oh?" Helena asked, tilting her head to the side.
"You know how the press stalk the hospital entrance?" Victor asked.
"No," Helena gasped as she pulled her son close.
"Yeah, there are photos now circulating of Rae and I," Victor said. "And there are rumors that I’m mated."
"Shi— Victor, I’m sorry," Helena gasped.
"It’s fine," Victor said, shaking his head. "It’s actually done wonders to my image."
Helena shook her head and sighed.
"This means he knows, Helena," Rae said as she reached out and held Helena’s hand. "Romeo knows where we are."
"He’s already informed the Sunfire Alphas of his intent to come here," Vincent told her. "The others know that the kid’s not mine, but I’m worried about you."
"Romeo won’t cause trouble," Helena sighed. "Plus Rae being in Sunfire won’t mean that I’m here."
"But he’s painfully jealous of Alphonse," Rae pointed out. "My money’s on him thinking you went here to be with Alphonse, that you left him to be with someone else."
"Why would I want to be with anyone else?" Helena asked, tilting her head to the side. "It’s always been just him."
"Damn that’s fucking sweet," Victor cursed.
"You do know there’s another bigger issue with those rumors," Helena pointed out.
"What?" Victor asked her.
"She’s mated," Helena said as she pointed at the mark on Rae’s neck.
"Yeah, that’s part of the rumors, that we’re mated," Victor said as if it were nothing.
Helena laughed and shook her head.
"No, no," she told him. "Do you know who her mate is?"
Victor looked at Rae with a raised eyebrow.
"Romeo’s Gamma, someone who’s trying to be Helena’s Beta," Rae said, blushing.
"Ah fuck me, I bet they’re both pissed now," Victor grumbled. "You really are trouble, eh Helena?"
Helena laughed and smiled.
"What do you want to do about them?" Victor asked.
"I can’t go home, I don’t know about Rae, though," Helena said as she pointed at Rae.
"I’m not ready," Rae said in a small voice.
"But you’re happy with your mate?" Victor asked. "He doesn’t abuse you or anything?"
"No," Rae said, shaking her head.
Her eyes told most of the story, she looked like the thought of Kade hurting her would be impossible.
"Look, we’ll let you stay, we’d never turn Helena or her family away," Victor said with a shrug. "Aside from the alliance, Helena is a friend, like a sister to all five of us, but Romeo is a very powerful Alpha."
Helena nodded.
"That’s all we ask, that you don’t make us go," she told Victor then she suddenly sat up straight. "There is also another favor I need."
Victor sighed and shook his head.
"What is it this time?" he asked her.
"Unlimited, unrestricted access to the Sunfire Library," Helena began.
"Done," Victor shrugged.
"And I’d like to speak with your stepgrandmother." Victor glared at her as he heard her request.
"I need to talk to her," Helena said.
"She won’t talk to you," Victor grumbled.
"Please, she’s always loved me," Helena chuckled. "Please, Victor."
Victor sighed and shook his head.
"Your problem has something to do with the Warlocks and Witches?" he asked her.
"Yes," Helena answered.
"Fine," Victor sighed giving in. "But you have to approach her. I’ll set something up."
"Thank you," Helena told him as she looked down at the sleeping baby in her arms.
Who knew, maybe he’d get to meet his father sooner than she’d expected.
