Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix
Chapter 1226 - 1226: Next step

Terra, much like Sealyn, was eager for action. Their patience path didn't seem likely to level up anytime soon as their circumstances forced them to feel itchy to do anything. The group faced a dilemma — waiting for reinforcements and devising a well-thought-out plan or taking immediate, albeit risky, actions to confront the challenges of the zone.

The balance between patience and urgency hung in the air, and the group had to navigate carefully to ensure their survival in this environment.

"You all are too worried about numbers. Wouldn't it be easy to just kill the leader of those territories?" Larisa asked. "Without them, the monsters would become a literal mob; killing them afterward would be easy pickings."

"Very practical," Rain said. "You probably skipped two hundred steps."

"The others don't have to keep the monsters busy by fighting them; just preventing them from moving would be enough," Larisa added. "Sealyn is probably the best water mage thanks to her bloodline, and with the help of the relics, she should be able to stop any army for quite a while. Add the help of the others, and then you will have a plan to keep the monsters busy.

The real issue and the only one is to kill their master fast enough."

Larisa's suggestion held merit, as the divide-and-conquer strategy was a common and effective tactic. However, Rain couldn't shake the feeling that their enemies had likely encountered and overcome such approaches many times during their existence in that environment. It was crucial to innovate and find a way to disrupt the usual patterns and expectations of the enemy forces.

The enemies had likely adapted to various tactics over the years, making it necessary to introduce a new element that would tip the scales in their favor.

He pondered for a moment, considering the unique skills and abilities within their group. Innovation and unpredictability might be the keys to success in a place where routine strategies were likely well-known.

"That seems interesting," Sealyn said.

"Sealyn… you can't make that kind of decision like that," Rain furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why not? Can you contact Regis?" Sealyn asked.

"No…" Rain said and then sighed already imagining what his daughter had in mind, his hands were tied, even more so since she had a point.

"Then, I am the only one who can make decisions in this area," Sealyn shrugged. "Besides, the enemies won't be waiting to be attacked now, and they will be more wary the more of us appear. The time has come."

She had a point… while she couldn't hide her impatience, it didn't reach levels where she wasn't being reasonable. If they were to surprise the enemies, the best moment was now… they also needed the means to protect themselves while the others joined them… learning the enemy's techniques and obtaining their knowledge would do the trick.

"... Let's say that we can try that," Rain said while massaging his eyebrows. "Who are we going to attack? We can learn a bit from the enemies around us, but we can't use the same techniques that they use to create their armies."

"Indeed… zombies, demons, and robots," Sealyn said while looking in the distance thoughtfully. "Two of them are gross, and the other is something that I can't understand… I suppose we can attack the robot master and use their knowledge and techniques to increase our survivability. With their metals, we should be able to make some very durable gear."

"I guess that is the best option… the parts that I saw disappeared after a while, but the enemy still produces them somehow, or they know how to repair them completely," Rain said.

Terra watched those two talking in silence… she wondered why her family was so insane. Attacking an enemy that had dozens of thousands of minions with only fifteen people… that was definitely insanity, even more so when each one of the enemies was on the level of a five hundred years old dragon, at least in terms of mana pool.

"With hundreds of armies here, we have to start this much sooner than later… we don't want to stay here forever, after all," Terra thought.

"I want to face the enemy leader… but I am aware that I am better equipped to be a diversion agaisnt an army," Sealyn said. "Dad, you should invade the enemy base and kill them as fast as possible."

Rain recognized the logic in Sealyn's proposal. His knowledge of technology made him the most suitable candidate to infiltrate the robot master's base. The intricate nature of the enemy's technology meant that someone with limited understanding might fall into traps or miss valuable information.

Rain's relative expertise in the field ensured a higher chance of success in navigating the enemy territory, understanding their systems, and, ultimately, taking down their leader swiftly.

While Rain felt the weight of responsibility, he also knew that his skills and knowledge were the best assets for this particular mission. The prospect of facing the robot master and obtaining valuable resources for their survival spurred them into action, even in the face of overwhelming odds.

"All right, I will do it," Rain said. "I will defeat the enemy in record time in order to return to help you guys and prevent you all from getting all the experience by yourselves."

"I just hope that you won't kill yourself for such a stupid reason," Sealyn said and then sighed. "Anyway, we should rest a little and then head to the enemy base in ten hours."

"You have been quiet until now. Don't you have anything to say about this?" Rain asked.

"I am fine, just watching," Arel said. "Anyway, I can give you a hand by teleporting you all to the border of the robot master territory, but anything else will reveal the location of my hideout."

"That will be plenty, thanks," Rain said. "You guys should go and rest. When you wake up, the details of the plan will be ready."
