Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix -
Chapter 1209 - 1209: Requirements
"Hell yeah! Finally!" Rain said and then jumped from the ground and punched the air.
One week exactly… that was what Rain had to wait and endure to unlock the next three paths. He never wanted to become a tree again, but he was pretty certain that he would become like one if those paths level up too much and the others to counter them stay behind.
"Perfectly balanced… as all things should be," Rain said.
The Charity Path is a virtuous and benevolent progression designed to cultivate a compassionate heart and selfless nature in individuals. It emphasizes the practice of charitable acts, altruism, and the promotion of well-being for oneself and others. All parameters + 100
Level 1: Benevolent Heart
Embarks on the Charity Path, cultivating a benevolent heart that seeks to alleviate the suffering of others. Initiates a passive effect that increases mana regeneration by five percent per level after a charity act.
The Chastity Path is a journey of self-discipline and control over one's desires, focusing on transcending the impulses of lust and cultivating a virtuous and restrained lifestyle. All parameters + 100
Level 1: Purity Initiation
Embarks on the path of chastity, promoting purity of thought and action. Increases mana regeneration per hour and per level at the rate of one percent. The level of the technique determines the limit of the bonus.
The Gratitude Path is a spiritual and personal development journey that focuses on cultivating a mindset of appreciation for life's blessings. Practitioners of this path embark on a transformative quest to deepen their sense of gratitude, fostering positive qualities that not only benefit themselves but radiate outward, influencing the world around them. All parameters + 100
Level 1: Appreciation - Initiating the path, practitioners learn to recognize and appreciate the positive aspects of their lives. Every day of your life that you are grateful for it, you gain one free point.
"I don't get how those things could turn into skills. Can you explain them?" Elisabetha asked.
"No, because right now… I will indulge in my worldly desires," Rain said. "First, eat a bunch of good. Then, drink some extra iced cola… it is amazing that the tree guys can even make cola… and after that… it is time for a lot of Seggs!"
"And that is how Rain unlocked all of them didn't paths," Sakaki said.
In the end, Rain took a day off to relax and recharge. That week had been tough… not very painful, but it passed insanely slowly. Still, thanks to that, Rain came up with the skills of the path that fast and also a bunch of strategies to defeat the king in the shadows without using anything special.
"I guess that is the power of sheer fucking will and focus," Rain said when he began to work with the relics again."
"What are you going to do now? Shouldn't you focus on teaching everyone how to get those paths?" Sakaki asked.
"Why? The answer is in front of us," Rain said. "They all have to become trees for a week."
That was actually pretty hard, and only someone as insane as Rain would be able to pull that off on the first try. Most people would start slow and then increase the difficulty over time.
In any case, they had a meeting set for that day, so Rain would share his findings with everyone and prove that he hadn't gone insane… when he explained things to everyone, they were surprised and worried. The bonuses of each path were simply off the charts, but the requirements to unlock them were too difficult. Moreover, some skills require quite a restricted life to show their power.
People like Danny and the dudes heading to the red light district every day will have a hard time unlocking the chastity path and making its first skill stack.
"This will be difficult," Sealyn said. "If the enemy uses a conversion of all the sins magic, then everyone will need to learn those paths. But there are a bunch of people that go to the red light district every night.
There are a bunch of people that make the Trent people work day in and day out, and there are a bunch of people that are trying to control some areas of the town and the games that they find the easiest."
"Well, we are only mere mortals…" Terra said. "Aside from the morons who can't keep their pants up, the others need some type of way to relieve their stress."
Hearing his mother say that made Danny feel all kinds of things, but he managed to keep his poker face. Regardless, there was an easy solution for that matter.
"We won't force anyone to improve those paths in a hurry," Rain said. "However, only those who reach a certain level on them will have the chance to challenge the king."
"That is a good idea…" Sealyn said while nodding. "It is about time for us to reach the next zone since this one is basically made to make us waste a lot of time."
"Which levels do you think it would be enough for all the paths to be?" Seadrei asked.
"Fifty would be ideal, but that would take too long," Rain replied. "With that many levels, the power of most of us would increase exponentially, after all. Decreasing the chances of failure and the chances of the enemy getting stronger."
"Let's make that twenty-five then. It should be enough…" Sealyn rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "We need to start challenging the king and heading to the next zone from next week onwards. Whatever we find in the next zone, we will be sure to cause as much chaos as possible and turn this place upside down. Those who want to stay in the front already know what they need to do."
Unless they have a shit ton of mana, few people would be able to level up seven paths that much… they will need one week to unlock all of them as well… it was time for the hellish grind.
