Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix -
Chapter 1177 - 1177: Boosted reputation
Orzlan was part of Rain's group since he believed that Rain was still part of the leaders of his group, even though he never showed that until now. That was useful since Rain would be one of those who would struggle the most dealing with the warriors.
The best way to deal with that short window of time was to build unity among the group, but Rain was still determined to keep his cycle of trust as small as possible because when it came to it, he wanted to focus on a few that he really cared about.
"We will use this time to build our strength. I tend to head straight into the fights when things get difficult, so you guys will have to follow me as well," Rain explained.
"That is fine with most of us. We have been keeping ourselves in check, after all," Orzlan said. "This chance to cause a lot of chaos and damage to the enemies is something that we can't pass on."
"I guess that is fine then. You guys already mastered Limit Breaker and Magic Boost, so I guess I will teach you all Impulse," Rain said.
Rain decided to follow the same curriculum the raging phoenix had before but multiply the learning speed by one hundred.
It would have been easier if he had unlocked the path that had that technique, but at that point in time, Rain almost gave up on it… Knowing the overseer, he should have added the technique to the system a long time ago, and rain was the real problem; his earth magic paths hadn't developed that much in a long while.
Earth Mage's Path Lv 60 (Intelligence, Wisdom, and Dexterity + 05 per level.)
"This path unlocked the water path after reaching level fifty, so it will have to reach level one hundred to unlock the next earth magic path…" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "At this poin in time, unless I use these skills to kill some powerful creature, it is almost a waste of time to level them up when I have other paths that give me many times more parameters."
As usual, efficiency was pretty much everything to Rain… Regardless, he began to teach everyone Impulse. It would take too long to make rings that would make them use that technique, and he had his own things to do. They were mainly leveling up the paths that he had unlocked recently.
Lvl 10: Summon Mana Bow (12) - Conjures a magical bow made of pure mana, allowing for ranged attacks and precision shots, increasing dexterity by three points per level.
Lvl 15: Summon Mana Hammer (12) - Conjures a magical hammer made of pure mana, delivering powerful and stunning blows in close combat, increasing strength by three points per level.
The good thing about that path was the fact that the weapons worked in synergy with the skills of the Spiritualist path. The only downside was the fact that while the mana weapons don't have a duration, they would deteriorate with usage, even when they didn't hit anything, the only way to counter that was to level up the skills, that would make them more potent, after all.
• Lvl 10: Bow Mastery (12)- Fosters a profound connection with bows. Increasing attack power and level up of sword techniques by three percent per level.
• Lvl 15: Hammer Harmony (12) - Forms a spiritual link with hammers. Increasing attack power and level up of sword techniques by three percent per level.
"In terms of mana efficiency, leveling these up will really come in handy since they all get the same amount of experience," Rain thought. "Still, I need to find the right weapons to use with my fighting style."
Rain began to think about that while he taught Impulse to his group. Weirdly enough, everyone there had a good affinity with earth magic, so they learned the most simple version of the technique pretty fast… within a day.
When Rain began to think of techniques that they could learn within the rest of the time that they had, he confirmed that they could heal pretty fast, thanks to their spiritual energy.
Rain did some research about that, but he was still trying to understand it completely in order to turn that into paths. In any case, some of them like Orzlan could use techniques of the Druid path, at least similar enough, so he proceeded to teach them those techniques since they had active and passive effects… still, they all unlocked the path within a day as well.
"At least they aren't making me waste time, but this speed of progress is off the charts," Rain thought. "Is it because it is easier to level up in the paths system in the beginning, or is it is because I know most of the secrets?"
As Rain dedicated himself to teaching the warriors of his group, an unexpected bond formed. Despite his initial reservations and the desire to keep his circle of trust small, the warriors began to respect him immensely. Rain's extensive knowledge and the power he gave them became the catalyst for their newfound admiration.
From the perspective of the warriors, it seemed as if Rain was going to great lengths to ensure their survival. His commitment to sharing his skills and expertise, coupled with a focus on practical and efficient techniques, painted a picture of a leader determined to see his comrades through the challenges that lay ahead.
Though Rain maintained a certain distance, the warriors couldn't help but feel a growing sense of trust and gratitude toward him as they absorbed the wealth of knowledge he provided.
This unexpected camaraderie highlighted the transformative impact Rain had on the group dynamics, creating the way for a more unified and capable team as they faced the impending challenges in the next zone. Thanks to that, Rain's reputation was boosted, even though he really didn't care about that. Maybe it was his luck that was getting so high…
