Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix
Chapter 1168 - 1168: Probably

Everyone began to feel their bodies being energized when they started to hear the sound of Rain's flute. There were some spells that were part of the system and boosted their parameters, but since their max level was ten, it couldn't be compared to Rain's sound magic.

Level 1: Enchanting Melody - Mastery in crafting captivating melodies that mesmerize listeners, augmenting charisma and charm, increasing strength by three points per level.

Level 5: Harmonious Aura - Emits an aura of tranquility and charm, calming and persuading nearby individuals, providing three points in dexterity per level.

Level 10: Melodic Manipulation - Utilizes music to subtly influence emotions, enhancing Wisdom by three points per level.

Level 15: Rhythmic Resonance - Enhances the bard's innate sense of rhythm, boosting agility and coordination, increasing movement speed by 6% per level.

For starters, Rain used those four skills at the same time… how did he make four types of sound leave the flute? It had dozens of holes in it, that was how. Thanks to that, the warriors on the frontlines felt really confident thanks to the massive boost in power that made them become essentially three times stronger.

"They are getting careless… even with the ominous sword, I felt the power of the vines of that beast," Rain thought.

Rain wasn't planning to use Calm Melody and make them recover their health, but that might be more than a bit necessary… Still, when the giant plant monster raised its vines and then swung them down at the warriors, they raised their weapons and blocked the attacks.

The sound of metal colliding echoed in the area and the warriors held their ground… the reason for that was the fact that the vines hit several of them, thus, making them lose a bunch of power.

Before long, fireballs were fired toward the giant plant monster, and after flying on an arc, they hit the beast. As one would expect, they didn't cause much damage, no damage, actually, but the beast began to flinch as the temperature in the area began to increase.

The skill Enchanting Melody leveled up.

The skill Harmonius Aura leveled up.

The skill Melodic Manipulation leveled up.

In the end, perhaps it would be useful for Rain to actually use as many of those skills as possible… even if it would make the warriors become spoiled. Regardless, Rain looked in the other directions and then saw the three-headed snake firing a massive sea of flames toward the warriors, but soon, the beast was forced to stop when wind blades hit its scales and began to damage them.

On the other side, Rain could see the blue salamander firing ice spears on the walls. The entire city was vibrating thanks to it, but there were no signs of damage on the walls. On the battlefield of the Cyclops, the beast was thrashing around, trying to stomp on the warriors… considering that the monster didn't move from the spot, it looked like it didn't smash many people…

"Three thousand points… not yet," Rain thought.

Rain's strategy was simple… he was planning to make A Matter of Skill stack as much as possible. Ten minutes was the limit, and at its current level, Rain would be able to eighteen thousand points in all of his parameters… that was a boost that would make it reach the level of strength that he truly wanted and would make the technique increase a lot as well…

"Well, it looks like things won't be so simple…" Elisabetha said.

The other sides were fine, but the plant monsters attacks were starting to knock down a bunch of warriors and their formation was breaking… it was because the beast was hungry and because Rain had killed it once, so its power had increased.

"... What now?" Rain thought.

Rain couldn't use the skills of the bard path while moving fast. He couldn't use his hands either… he also had to conserve his mana as much as possible. While he didn't care all that much about the lives of the people who had lived in the city by sacrificing others, he didn't want to risk losing their knowledge.

Rain considered expanding his domain to make them part of the paths system and thus receive the bonuses of the parameter bonus skill, but that would be too risky… until now, they didn't face any interference, so it was better to keep things like that.

While Rain contemplated his options, Orzlan took matters into his own hands. The air around him danced with an aura reminiscent of the techniques from the druid path. It was as if he drew upon the primal forces of nature, channeling them into his body. As a red aura intensified, Orzlan's figure appeared to grow larger and more powerful.

With a mighty roar, Orzlan charged toward the giant plant monster, his body now enhanced by the aura. The ground quivered under his powerful steps as he closed the distance between himself and the monster. The massive vines of the beast swung towards him, but Orzlan skillfully evaded and, with a swift and powerful slash, cut through one of the attacking vines.

The severed vine recoiled, and the beast flinched in response to the unexpected assault. Orzlan, driven by his enhanced strength and determination, pushed the massive plant aside on his own. The display of strength was impressive, especially considering that by conventional standards, he wasn't supposed to be over level thirty.

After seeing that, a bunch of other hotblooded warriors charged as well and began to attack the vines of the beast while ignoring their defense. Their pent-up frustration was that massive… regardless, while some of them ended up being knocked down, they soon got up… covered in blood, but they got up.

"It is time for the Calm Melody," Rain thought. "If I use it just now and then, they won't charge at the beast like mad man… probably."

Rain wondered if he was putting too much faith on the lizard brain of those guys who sacrificed over forty million people to the beasts...
