Chapter 86: Morgan’s Prophecy: My dear, you’re awesome! (Two Chapters, 8000 words, please subscribe)_2

Frivolous behavior, nonsensical talks, nonchalant actions, and good looks...

Le Cheng is speechless, "Just say directly that she dislikes people like me."

Gawain immediately feels a bit awkward; indeed, that’s what he thought. Otherwise, there would be no need for him to come and provide a briefing. Even though Le Cheng holds the noble position of a Divine Envoy with a special status, Morgan, as the Queen of the Empire, represents the face and dignity of the Empire. He still hopes that Le Cheng can restrain himself a bit when interacting with Morgan, and not spout nonsense.

"Just try your best to act seriously and that should be fine, and definitely don’t mention anything about worshipping her as a mother-in-law."

"What if I suggest she worships me as her godfather?"

"Definitely not that either!"

"Alright, alright, I’ll listen to you, isn’t that enough?" Le Cheng, left with no choice but to wave his hand in surrender, he couldn’t make Morgan his mother-in-law nor could he let her call him godfather, well, it seems he could only take her under his wing... Also, does Morgan prefer pure love or a Bull?

Half an hour later, the Flying Airship lands on an open area in the Royal Court.

Since this visit by Morgan only involved receiving Le Cheng the Divine Envoy, Caster and the players were taken by Gawain to arrange accommodations, while Le Cheng rode his Fiery Red Bull, following behind the Catastrophe Messenger.

The Catastrophe Messenger looked at the Blood Grinding Beast with a bit of unease.

"Um, are you sure you want to ride it into the palace?"

"Of course, it’s proof of my role as a Divine Envoy."

"Alright then..."

"Let’s go, Green Water Golden Essence Beast!"

Le Cheng squeezed lightly with his legs, and his mount, the Blood Grinding Beast, bellowed joyfully and began running. Its physique was sort of secondary, but the real deal was its steel-like body, and the flames that intermittently burst from its hooves as it moved, drawing sidelong glances from the palace guards.

Soon enough, the Catastrophe Messenger led Le Cheng to a side hall, which she claimed was where the Queen usually worked. After all, Morgan was just the Queen, managing the Empire on behalf of the throne, and wasn’t qualified to sit in the imperial seat unless it was a particularly official occasion. She typically met her subjects only in this side hall.

Le Cheng took a brief glance around and noticed no guards outside the side hall, but there were various invisible energy fluctuations. Even the Blood Grinding Beast beneath him became restless.

The Catastrophe Messenger stopped at the front of the hall, bowed towards the tightly shut doors and announced, "Queen, the Divine Envoy has been brought."

"Let him in."

A voice devoid of emotion came from within the hall.

Le Cheng patted the Blood Grinding Beast’s head, signaling it to stay put, then dismounted and walked forward.

As he approached the door, it automatically opened, and as he crossed the threshold, it closed again.

Le Cheng surveyed the environment inside the hall; the room was large and tidy with many bookshelves, resembling a study. Alongside one wall was a couch, probably where Morgan rested during work breaks.

Besides that, there was nothing particularly private.

However, Le Cheng did not see Morgan anywhere.

"So you are the Divine Envoy? You look quite ordinary."

The emotionless voice spoke up again, but Le Cheng seemed not to hear, walking straight towards the couch against the wall, then yawning and muttering to himself, "Hmm, a bit tired, since the Queen isn’t here, I might as well take a nap."

"You shall not sleep, that’s where I rest!" The voice suddenly grew urgent.

But Le Cheng didn’t hear it and simply lay down on the couch.

"What a soft pillow, such fragrant blankets, so comfortable..."

"You impudent fellow!"

Rustle!

A figure suddenly materialized in the hall, wearing a lavish pure white palace attire, with a lithe silhouette. The tightly fitting garment outlined her slender waist and voluptuous upper body. Her features, while not unmatched, were certainly captivating; however, her stunning face now held a hint of anger, and even her long hair appeared to float without wind.

"Without my permission, you dare to sleep on my couch? Do you even qualify as a Divine Envoy?"

Morgan harshly questioned, stretching out her hand forward to grab.

Suddenly, Le Cheng felt a tremendous suction pulling at his body. He immediately launched several quick steps, swiftly vanishing into the shadows.

Disappeared?

Morgan was stunned. Could it be the same ability as mine?

Morgan subconsciously closed her eyes. At that moment, a taunting voice suddenly sounded by her ear.

"Over here."

"How audacious!"

Morgan opened her eyes, an invisible force pushed Le Cheng backwards. At this time, Shadow Step was still cooling down; although the force was strong, it wasn’t lethal. Soon, Le Cheng was pushed to the edge of the corner.

Morgan turned around, seeing Le Cheng immobilized by her power, she couldn’t help but sneer, "What kind of Divine Envoy are you? You seem rather ordinary and moreover, so disrespectful to me. I should have sentenced you to death!"

"Hey, hey, hey, now you’re in the wrong. I came to meet you as you requested, but you hide and refuse to see me. Shouldn’t you be the one being rude? So much for the Empire’s hospitality," Le Cheng was pressed against the corner, not struggling because he didn’t feel any killing intent from Morgan, just some hostility... although he was unsure where this hostility came from?

"Hmph, I was merely testing you."

"I was also testing you. Look, didn’t I force you to come out?"

"Slick talker!"

Morgan scoffed again, her face showing displeasure, but her eyes flickered with hesitation, seemingly unsure of her next move.

Le Cheng was quite curious about her attitude; he had no past grudges or recent quarrels with Morgan, and he held the identity of a Divine Envoy. Logically, she shouldn’t harbor any hostility towards him. Even if she were to doubt the authenticity of him being a Divine Envoy, shouldn’t she first verify it step by step?

Could there be something he had overlooked?

Le Cheng took another look around the hall, suddenly noticing a crystal ball on a nearby desk.

"Queen, do you practice the Prediction Technique?"

Hearing this, Morgan was taken aback, and blurted out, "How did you know?"

"I guessed." Le Cheng shrugged, "Crystal ball, witch, usually one would think along these lines."

"Hmph!" Morgan then realized that she had carelessly let slip, under normal circumstances, she would not have been so careless. But upon seeing Le Cheng for the first time, her mood was extremely unsettled and irritated.

"Hmm, let me guess again... since you practice the Prediction Technique, after receiving Anna’s report, you would have likely done some predictions to see if I really was the Divine Envoy or what kind of impact I would bring to the Empire. And the predictions confirmed that I am indeed the Divine Envoy, otherwise, you would have killed me on the spot. But at the same time, my presence would cause some unfortunate events for you, hence the hostility towards me, right?"

"..."

"Don’t stay silent, even if I did something to you, you should let me die understanding why."

"Fine, I’ll let you die understanding!"

Morgan gritted her teeth, using that invisible power to lead Le Cheng toward the desk. As both their faces reflected in the crystal ball, Morgan used some kind of spell, and suddenly, a burst of white light radiated out, displaying a blurry image in the crystal ball.

Visible on a couch, a naked man and woman embraced each other in sleep; the woman suddenly showed a satisfied smile, sweetly cooing, "Darling, you’re wonderful..."

Crack!

The scene ended there as Morgan crushed the crystal ball.

Witnessing Morgan’s anger, embarrassment, paleness, and teeth-gritting expression, Le Cheng blinked, "That person in the crystal ball, it couldn’t have been you and me, right?"

"Shut up!"
