Chapter 64: 54 I am (seeking to follow up reading)

After a severe internal struggle, Guinevere finally let Le Cheng into the house. Although she felt it was almost like inviting the wolf into the den, but, but... in such cold weather, living in such a humble dwelling, what could be more important than filling one’s stomach?

She was going to do great things in the future; she couldn’t disregard the priorities over a moment of prideful conflict.

Mm-hmm, exactly right!

Guinevere convinced herself fervently. Initially, she was slightly guarded against Le Cheng, but when he distributed the food from his arms in front of them and opened the packaging, releasing a rich aroma, she felt whether Le Cheng was a wolf or a dog was no longer important.

She quickly grabbed something golden-yellow that looked like a chicken leg and stuffed it into her mouth, bit through the crispy skin, swallowed the tender chunks of meat, and as the explosive flavors stimulated her senses, she felt an ecstasy akin to ascending to heaven, and then, tears, they began to flow.

"Wuuu... it’s so delicious, this is simply the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten! Caster, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and eat."

Caster originally wanted to politely refuse, but seeing Guinevere devouring eagerly, anything she said would be superfluous, so she just hummed in agreement.

"It’s really so delicious!" Caster was conquered by the food’s flavor the moment she took the first bite, and she asked while eating, "Mr. Le Cheng, did you make this food? What’s it called?"

"It’s called Crazy Thursday."

"Crazy Thursday... what a strange name. Does it mean something?"

"The meaning is, in order to eat it, everyone becomes crazy on Thursdays. Then under various pretexts like cosplay, transforming into Qin Shi Huang, sending risque pictures, online transactions, attempting to swindle food and drinks in the group chat, V-ing 50."

"Eh..."

The two couldn’t understand his words at all, but it sounded very imposing.

No matter what, KFC’s family bucket with soda completely captivated them, and in no time, they had devoured half the food brought by Le Cheng. Guinevere’s originally flat stomach was now round and bulging, while Caster, despite her small stature, had a significant appetite and continued to eat nonstop.

"Huff—" Guinevere patted her belly, which looked as if she was three months pregnant, and with a very satisfied expression on her face, having eaten her fill, she found even Le Cheng seemed more pleasing to the eye and laughed, "I didn’t expect such a pervert of an uncle like you to be quite nice, actually bringing us food to eat."

"What did you call me!" Le Cheng suddenly glared with wide eyes.

"Uh—" Guinevere was startled, and instinctively about to apologize, "Sorry for calling you a perve..."

"That’s right, although I’m a bit older than you, surely I’m not old enough to be an uncle."

Is that what you’re concerned about?

Guinevere thought it was the descriptor ’pervert’ that upset Le Cheng, but to her surprise, it was the term ’uncle’... Wait, as for the ’pervert’, aren’t you going to refute that at all?

Guinevere was thinking over this, when suddenly she saw Le Cheng laugh, "And as for being a pervert, although I do indeed take the lead, you do not seem to be far behind me at all, even thinking about marrying a woman to become Queen, that’s really too perverse."

"Ah!"

Hearing this, both of their expressions froze, especially Caster, who even lost her appetite for the chicken leg in her mouth, which clattered into the heated brick bed.

After finally coming to her senses, Guinevere stood up with a jolt, "You, you eavesdropped on our conversation!"

"Don’t slander someone’s innocence out of thin air, when have I eavesdropped on your conversation?"

"Then how did you know..."

"Just now, I was about to share the food with you, and when I arrived at the door, I just happened to hear you whispering. Walls have ears, and to prevent your whispers from being overheard by others, I deliberately stood guard at the door to keep others away. I was being so kind and helpful to you, yet you are slandering me. Apologize to me!"

Le Cheng stood with his hands on his hips, head held high and chest out, looking down from the moral high ground at Guinevere.

Guinevere was devastated. Isn’t this eavesdropping!

"I specifically chose to tell you this when you were almost full, just to prevent you from getting scared and losing your appetite. Shouldn’t you thank me now, Brother Cheng?"

He really is gentle.

What do you mean? You were the one eavesdropping on our conversation, so why do I feel like we’re the ones in the wrong?

Looking at Le Cheng’s righteous appearance, Guinevere felt like she was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

On the other hand, Caster quickly grasped the crux of the matter and looked at Le Cheng in surprise, "Mister Le Cheng, could it be... you’ve already seen through my true identity?"

Le Cheng knew what he was worried about and laughed, "Don’t worry, your disguise is perfect."

Caster was silent for a long while, until the charred chicken leg made a crackling sound, when he finally sighed, "Well, since you’ve already seen through it, then I..."

"Wait, Caster!"

"It’s okay, Guinevere." Caster, facing a visibly anxious Guinevere, smiled and shook his head, "At this point, it’s meaningless to keep hiding it. Besides, he overheard our conversation. If he really wanted to harm us, there was no need to tell us about this."

Then, he turned to look at Le Cheng.

"Mr. Le Cheng, the truth is my name isn’t Caster... or to be more accurate, Caster is just a part of it, my full name is—Caster Lya Arthur Pandoracon Sigma. The blood of the Emperor Sigma flows in my veins, and with the Emperor having passed away, I am one of the rightful heirs to the throne."

"Of course, compared to the other princes, I lack some legitimacy since I’m just a bastard child... well, a daughter, that Emperor Sigma left amongst the commoners."

Hundreds of years ago, the Catastrophe Legion, worshipping Khorne, invaded this world, turning the rivers red with the blood of the indigenous people and leaving their world shattered and crumbling. During this desperate time, a fierce man stood up—he was Sigma.

In a world untouched by the God of Order, Sigma led the scattered humans and Alien Race with his tremendous strength and charm, launching a fierce resistance against the Catastrophe Legion, repelling the enemy time and time again, eventually establishing the glorious Empire we have today.

But Sigma was only human, and even after using countless methods to extend his life, today, two hundred years later, his life finally reached its end.

The menace of Khorne still loomed, and the Catastrophe was not over; the Empire urgently needed a new leader.

During his reign, Sigma left behind many offspring, some of whom were official princes and princesses, while others were lost amongst the people amidst the chaos of war, and some didn’t even know that they were descendants of Sigma.

To select a suitable successor, Sigma issued his final decree before his death. He placed the King’s Sword at his tomb, declaring that only the one able to pull out the Sword of King Selection could be qualified to succeed him as the new ruler.

This decree was enforced by the two most loyal organizations of the Emperor, the Emperor’s Forbidden Army and the Catastrophe Messenger Group, and no one could defy it.

Simultaneously, Sigma dispatched his most loyal Catastrophe Messengers to search the world for his lost descendants and bring them back to the Imperial Capital for the King Selection Ceremony.

And Caster was one of them.

Thus, under the protection and company of the Forbidden Army Knight Commander Gawain and a Catastrophe Messenger, Caster boarded the train to the Imperial Capital.

Of course, not everyone wanted these lost princes to return to the Imperial Capital, so Caster’s identity was to remain a secret for now.

"Sigma, The Legend of King Arthur, Roman Forbidden Army, Catastrophe Messenger... this is quite a heavy plot, and it’s pretty tightly woven."

After understanding the event’s causes and consequences, Le Cheng couldn’t help but murmur to himself.

After sharing, Caster felt much more relaxed, while Guinevere still looked deeply concerned, afraid that revealing this secret too soon might bring danger to Caster.

"Alright, since you’ve shared your secret, in the interest of fairness, I should share a secret of mine too."

In an attempt to reassure them, Le Cheng stood up facing their curious gazes.

He puffed his chest out proudly, his lips curving up into a smile.

"Actually... I’m twenty centimeters long!"
