"Kumogakure is like a big family." Naruto continued, "They value loyalty above all. It’s a village structured around the personal charisma of the Yondaime Raikage, A. And the thing they despise most is..."

His lips parted slightly, forming a sinister smile.

"…traitors."

"Shut up!"

"Why? Am I wrong?" Naruto asked, genuinely confused.

Yugito couldn’t understand his crude humor, and her teeth were on edge. She really couldn’t go back. Kumogakure hated traitors more than anything, and there had never been a Missing-nin from the village.

It would be fine if she disappeared, and her family would still be treated well. might even have received a payout or been placed under protection by Kumogakure’s Anbu.

But as long as she showed up, and couldn't explain her absence…

But how could she explain it? That she had been locked up by a blond brat from Konoha for two years, treated well with no interrogation or torture, and no attempts to extract information?

Who would believe this if she told others? They would probably think that she had leaked the top-secret information of Kumogakure, or worse, the secrets to controlling the Biju.

"What do you want?" She asked, glaring at Naruto.

"I don't want anything. Didn't I just say? I was thinking of sending you back. Oh... are you scared?" Naruto asked, feigning innocence.

"No way, how can a place like Kumogakure where everyone loves each other scare you? No way, no way, what are you afraid of?"

"Hmm? Are you afraid to go home or... afraid of being branded a traitor? The former Elite Jonin of Kumogakure, Nii Yugito, tell me… what exactly are you afraid of?”

At this moment, Naruto's expression had transcended mere cunning. He resembled the sleazy antagonist from a certain genre of fiction: like a coach in an NTR story, or the sketchy friend of a cheating husband, or even a nosy neighbor.

"I'm not afraid, just let me out!" Yugito gritted her teeth. "I dare you! Let me out."

"And why wouldn’t I?" Naruto stepped back, touching his face with a thoughtful expression, "What kind of trouble can you make if I let you go?"

"Could it be that you plan to attack Konoha and then escape, so that if word gets to Kumogakure, you're still a hero there?"

Yugito’s expression changed instantly, and she looked at Naruto in disbelief. This was just an idea she had come up with in a panic, but she didn't expect Naruto to see right through it.

"Don’t look at me like that. I’m not a mind reader." Naruto waved dismissively. "You'd better not waste your energy. If I could catch you once, I can control you again."

"If you really went through with it, there’d be no turning back. You still have family in Kumogakure, right? What do you think would happen to them if I spread word of your betrayal?"

"I didn't say anything!" Yugito suddenly shouted, fiercely denying it.

"True, you haven’t said a word. But what if, just hypothetically, I happened to know some of Kumogakure’s top secrets and then leaked just a little bit of information?"

"Tell me, what do you think would happen to your relatives, your friends in Kumogakure? Just imagining it is pretty entertaining, don’t you think?"

"A village that claims to have no Missing-nin, suddenly producing its first one… and it turns out to be a Jinchuriki. How ironic, isn’t it? Absolutely disgraceful."

"You! You lunatic! Is this your goal all along?" Yugito’s defenses had completely collapsed, her fists clenched tightly. She wanted nothing more than to punch the man in front of her right now.

"How unfortunate, you’re wrong again." Naruto’s gaze turned cold as he completely distanced himself from her, "I want much more than that. You wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to your family and friends, right?"

"What exactly do you want?" Yugito glared at him fiercely, her teeth clenched before relaxing, "I will never betray my village, don’t even think about it."

"That’s not something you should be telling me… tell the Raikage and see if he believes you didn’t betray him." Naruto did not show any weakness and a menacing grin spread across his face.

Yugito continued to struggle, but Naruto’s patience was wearing thin.

"And don’t even think about dying to escape this. Trust me, that’s not a conclusion you’d want to see."

"… What should I do?" She finally asked.

"I want you to become the next Raikage, the successor after the Yondaime Raikage, A." Naruto finally revealed his true intentions and stared intently at Yugito.

"This is your only option. It will preserve your reputation, and your family and friends will not be implicated. And as for your village, becoming the Raikage won't be considered a betrayal."

"Are you insane? How could I possibly become the Raikage?" Yugito looked at him in disbelief.

"Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I just told you, Kumogakure worships heroes. Kumogakure is less of a village and more of a gang. Gangs value rules and power. And where there are rules, there are always loopholes."

After leaving the seal space, Naruto didn’t delve further into the conversation with Yugito. He would bring her out again once the opportunity presented itself. He didn’t keep anyone idle under his command, and everyone had their role to play.

Not just Kumogakure, but all of the Five Great Shinobi Villages had to be kept in check. When the Otsutsuki invade, he had to ensure no one would become a hindrance.

He didn’t care about how the Five Great Shinobi Countries governed themselves, nor does he care who is right or wrong. He just wants to slowly lay out his plans, drag the Otsutsuki down from the sky, and pin them to the ground.

From soaring eagles to grounded chickens, he would reverse their civilization’s progression, starting with one Otsutsuki. He’ll put an end to this troublesome matter while changing a few things along the way.

He wasn’t trying to save the world, just following his instincts to crush the invading civilization. Not just with brute strength, but by defeating them down to their very genes.

In a sense, Shinobi are hybrids left behind on Earth by the alien Otsutsuki civilization.

The purer the bloodline, the stronger the abilities, and the easier it was to awaken Kekkei Genkai. Bloodlines could be strengthened, and the most obvious evidence of this was Hashirama and the Uchiha Clan.

Hashirama's cells could be transplanted and developed, and the Uchiha Clan could acquire the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan by taking the eyes of their close relatives. In essence, they are no different from the Otsutsuki.

Low-level hybrids could strengthen themselves by stealing from higher-level hybrids, while the pure-blooded Otsutsuki evolved by devouring one another.

Lower-level bloodlines automatically became sustenance for the higher-level bloodlines, and this was considered an honor.

Everything followed a clear pattern. The emergence of Shinobi was nothing more than an accident… An accident caused by a low-level pure-blooded Otsutsuki Kaguya, starting with her ambush on the guardian, Otsutsuki Isshiki.

It wasn’t hard to deduce the basic evolution path of the Otsutsuki. The Chakra Fruit that was supposed to be consumed by Otsutsuki Isshiki, who had a purer bloodline, was snatched by Kaguya.

But Kaguya certainly couldn’t handle all the power of the Chakra Fruit, so she distributed the excess power to her offspring.

From the perspective of bloodline, Otsutsuki Hamura and Otsutsuki Hagoromo became Kaguya’s guardians, that is, beings that were destined to be devoured.

In keeping with the fate-bound logic that seemed to dominate the Naruto World, the way Kaguya was finally betrayed and sealed by her two sons was exactly the same as the way Isshiki was ambushed by the traitor Kaguya.

This was a world where hybrids would ultimately kill the Otsutsuki, and the ultimate goal is only one: to survive.

With this understanding, things became much clearer. Naruto could step away from the drama of the Five Great Shinobi Countries and view things from a higher perspective.
