When he heard Anko’s questions, Naruto smiled shamelessly, "The communication project covers the entire Land of Fire, so Ino won't stay in the village all the time. I said I was leaving the village, but I didn’t mean I was going far."

The corner of Anko’s mouth twitched, ‘This guy is really…’

"What about Hinata? The Hyuga Clan has always kept to themselves, not to mention Hinata is already at the right age." She asked.

"Well... I haven’t quite figured that out yet." Naruto raised an eyebrow. It's not that he hasn't thought about it, but it wasn’t something he could talk about. The Hyuga Clan is a large clan with rigid system.

He now had a vague idea in his mind, but it was something he could only ponder silently. Saying it out loud would probably diminish his karma, and this method was slightly sneaky, so it’s best not to mention it to others.

After leaving Anko’s house feeling refreshed, Naruto headed back home to start his next plan.

"Why are you back?" Kurama was slumped on the couch, guzzling alcohol. Through his drunken haze, he saw Naruto standing in the living room, "Weren't you out for a run? Why are you back so soon?"

"You silly dog, it’s already the next day!" Naruto was speechless. He had left yesterday, and he had no idea how much this silly dog had drunk since then.

During the clean-up operation against Root, Kurama had been a huge help, so Naruto had given it all his money to buy booze for Kurama. It was not until Yugao sent over some funds that he was able to cover the deficit.

"It’s the next day? Hiccup…" Kurama lay on the couch, taking another swig. "It’s the next day? Then why are you still here?"

"Aren't you going to look for that owner of yours?"

He slurred the words, but Naruto felt he’s referring to Hinata. Kurama had seen Naruto get both money and sake from Hinata several times, so he just assumed that Naruto was being kept by her.

Naruto couldn’t be bothered to explain to Kurama, so the misunderstanding had persisted until now.

"Yeah, I’ll see her in a couple of days."

He casually responded and headed to the bathroom to wash up. After changing into some pajamas and drying his hair, he went straight to his room and immersed his consciousness into the seal space.

Yugito turned her head and saw Naruto, her face showing no emotion. She looked at him blandly and, noticing him staring back, she couldn’t help but asked, "What do you want?"

"How are you adjusting here?" He asked.

"Stop pretending and just get to the point." Yugito retorted, clearly still holding a grudge over his deception from a while back.

"No need to be so agitated, Nii Yugito." Naruto remained unfazed by her words and said with a smile, "If you have something to say, let’s sit down and talk. Please, have a seat."

Yugito glanced down at the bed he was sitting on and suddenly felt a bit speechless.

"What do you want to say?"

"It's not about what I want to say. Even if you don’t want to listen, you can’t leave anyway." Naruto shrugged, "We both know what's going on, so there's no need to waste time."

Her expression changed slightly, but she tried her best to keep her composure.

"Do you even remember how long you've been locked up here?" Naruto asked, with his arms crossed.

"About four, maybe five years. There’s no day or night here, so there might be some error." Yugito frowned, thinking back carefully.

She was interested in this topic. There were no clocks or calendars in the seal space, so she had to rely on her own sense of time and manually keep track of the time.

She slept well, so she used sleep to distinguish one day from the next. One sleep marked the passing of a day, and so on.

With this scattered method of recording, she gave her best estimate.

"Wrong."

"What?" Yugito’s pupils slightly dilated.

"It's hasn’t been four or five years. It’s only been a little over two years." Naruto smiled and shook his head, then said, "I’m guessing you’ve been using your biological clock to track time, but unfortunately, there’s a problem with your body."

"Impossible!"

"Oh, why would I lie to you?" Naruto sneered, "The monotonous environment has made you drowsy and slowed your reflexes."

In fact, the time in the seal space flowed much more slowly. There was nothing wrong with the Yugito’s body, but Naruto continued to deceive her, so her belief was already beginning to waver.

The time flow inside the Jashin’s Altar was even slower, and Naruto guessed the two girls inside were likely already numb from all the repeated deaths.

However, that’s just the fate of a tool, endless resurrection and endless training. They could rest when tired, but resting made time pass even slower.

‘Tsk, tools really don’t have any rights.’

Compared to the corporate life of the two girls in the Jashin’s Altar, Yugito had been held in solitary confinement and had grown used to being alone.

Monotony does more damage to a person’s mind than to their body. As Yugito listened to Naruto, she truly began to doubt herself.

It wasn’t that her willpower was weak. It’s that being locked up in this place for two years, where time flowed twice as fast outside, would easily break anyone.

As a Shinobi, moreover Jinchuriki, she was used to endurance. But this prolonged isolation had made her anxious, stressed, and even paranoid.

Time was the last straw that broke her mental defenses.

Seeing Yugito’s dazed expression, Naruto ramped up the pressure.

"If this continues, you'll soon go mad, and your abilities will regress. Who knows? Maybe if I let you out, you'd lose control and tear Kumogakure apart."

"No, you're lying!" Yugito suddenly raised her head, glaring at him intensely, "Otherwise... there's no need for you to tell me all this."

She had guessed correctly, though not entirely.

Naruto indeed had another agenda, but it wasn’t some kind of detective game with her. Time was merely an excuse to distract her and shake her resolve.

It's like when chopping down a tree… not with one mighty swing but by gradually creating a crack, one strike at a time.

"You can think I’m lying if you want. I could even let you return to Kumogakure right now." Naruto’s smile widened as he began walking toward her.

In the past, they had always maintained a reasonable distance during their conversations. But now, that distance was closing, even though Yugito knew the one in front of her wasn’t his real body.

Yet, as she watched Naruto approach step by step, she couldn’t help but become alert.

Thankfully, Naruto stopped just short of her, standing about two meters away. Then, he asked with a mocking smile on his face, "So, how about it? Want me to send you back to Kumogakure."

"Would you really be that kind?" Yugito asked coldly, not giving a direct response.

"Of course. But have you thought about what it would be like going back after being missing for so long? If you really go back, do you think Kumogakure can still accommodate you?" Naruto suddenly asked.

Snap!

Yugito unconsciously cracked one of her fingers, suddenly realizing certain possibilities. Her body tensed up.
