Chapter 60: 60. Living Together

"What happened?" Mrs. Williams asked.

"A woman died." Brian shrugged.

Mrs. Williams furrowed her eyebrows but didn’t say anything about that woman. This kind of scene was uncomfortable at first but after this happened a few times, they just slowly got used to it.

It was amazing how a person could adapt at an extremely short period of time.

"Did you get it?"

Brian glanced at the few people who were staying with them before getting closer to his mother and father. "Yeah."

There was only one packet of biscuit.

But for these people who could only eat two small buns every day, it was still something to eat.

"Good job." Mr. Williams patted Brian’s head.

"Um."

They shared the biscuit and then continued to rest.

With the amount of food that they eat every single day, they could only rest most of the time to conserve their energy. If not, they will definitely feel hungry and couldn’t last long at all.

The day passed by quietly.

As the flood continued to rise, Anna and the others were living their own live in the apartment.

The matter of Jake coming didn’t cause much problems for them. Anna didn’t care about him and the others didn’t want to mention him. Thus, the incident passed without causing much ripples for them.

So they started their routine life of exercising almost the entire day. Anyway, Mark and Lucy has already finished moving their belongings to Dylan’s apartment.

"So, you’re going to stay in Anna’s apartment tonight?" Lucy asked during dinner time.

Dylan was still the cook because he was the one who could cook the best among them. Lucy could cook but the taste was relatively average. For the sake of their tongue, Dylan was the one asked to cook.

"Yeah. You cook your own breakfast tomorrow." Dylan nodded.

"Ok." Lucy shrugged.

"Who will be guarding tonight?" Anna asked.

"I’m first. Tomorrow Lucy, the next day is Mark and you’re last." Mark looked at Anna. "Before that, you need to increase your physical strength."

Anna pursed her lips. "I know."

Staying awake for the entire night was not exactly a good thing. But for the sake of their own safety, they better put a night guard to keep watch at night.

This is their agreement.

"Meow~." Kitty meowed and moved towards Anna coquettishly.

"It’s time to sleep, Kitty." Anna chuckled and carried Kitty up. Her expression changed a bit after Kitty was in her arms. After exercising with Lucy, she felt her entire arms were numb. Carrying Kitty seemed to be a bit too much.

Dylan watched Anna and shook his head. He stepped forward and picked Kitty. "Come on, it’s time to sleep."

"Ah, ok."

Lucy put the dried fruit into her mouth as she watched Anna following behind Dylan. She looked at Mark with gossipy look. "Do you think that he will do something?"

"He’s not that unprincipled." Mark passed a helpless look at his girlfriend. "Do you want him to do something?"

"Well, he’s better than the stupid Jake." Lucy shrugged. "And if Anna can be happy, then I don’t mind."

Unless they wanted to be single for the rest of their lives, then she and Anna will definitely get married in the future. Lucy didn’t want to interfere too much in Anna’s lives. Except if Anna asked for suggestion.

Of course, if Dylan wanted her to help him, he had to put forward some condition~.

"Rather than talking about them, how about if you help me tonight."

"Huh?"

"I need to set up the bed and..."

"You..."

The two people were having their own sweet time.

Thankfully, Anna was not present or she will definitely scold Lucy for giving off a lot of dog food.

Dylan and Anna went to Anna’s apartment.

"Aside from my room, you can enter the others." Anna pointed at her own room and reminded. She had already took out a lot of items in the storage room that it was so full that she couldn’t move.

"No, he didn’t want to."

The girl and the cat both looked at Dylan. Dylan held Kitty tightly and then continued, "You’re tired after a lot of exercise not long ago. It’s better for you to rest earlier. I can still take care of Kitty."

Anna thought about the long exercise that Lucy brought her along not long ago and nodded weakly.

Indeed, her body felt sore.

And tomorrow, she still has to train.

It seems that she has to sleep.

"In that case, I’ll go to sleep first. Goodnight Dylan and Kitty."

"Good night, Sister Anna."
