Chapter 47: 47. Moving

Anna looked back at Dylan.

Seeing his gaze seeing straight in her direction, Anna’s pupil trembled slightly. She silently retracted her gaze.

"If you’re asking whether I’ll help them or not, then my answer is no." Anna pursed her lips. "If I have no strength, helping other people without thinking whether they worth it or not is stupid."

Call her selfish or anything, but Anna didn’t want to be the stupid person who share what she has without any reservation to others. She has no obligation to do that and more than anything else, what she wanted is to protect herself.

It’s hard enough for her to live on her own.

Why should she care about others so much?

If it was her friends or someone she knew, she might consider helping if the situation was appropriate. But asking her for help while putting her own life at risk, Anna will definitely not do anything like that.

"It’s good." Dylan heaved a sigh of relief.

"Why? Are you worrying that I’ll be so stupid that I want to help others regardless of my safety?" Anna looked at Dylan back in amusement. "I’m not that kind, Dylan."

Dylan nodded.

He knew that, but sometimes, he felt that Anna was really soft. This was why he was a bit worried.

Looking at Anna’s expression, he knew that she said this from the bottom of her heart. Since that was the case, he knew that he didn’t have to worry about her. She still has measure about her action.

"That’s good."

"Um."

The two of them stopped talking and looked at the door in front of them. Only the sound of heavy rain hitting the window and wall could still be heard.

"I should go to sleep." Anna stood up. If she didn’t sleep. She wouldn’t be able to wake up tomorrow.

"Keep your gun close to you."

"I will."

"And don’t take off the silencer."

When Anna shot the two people just now, the gun has a silencer in front of it, reducing the sound. The only reason why Dylan could hear it was because he was right behind the door and heard the faint exclusive sound of the gun.

Just like Anna, he has a gun license.

His grandfather didn’t feel that it was safe for him not to bring a gun around even with his martial arts, so he was tossed to train. Thankfully, his learning ability was not bad, so he also has a gun.

But the bullets were limited.

So if it was not necessary, there was no need to waste the bullets.

"I know," Anna replied and patted Kitty.

"Meow~." Kitty meowed with dissatisfaction, but he still jumped to Dylan. He seemed to understand that it was time for Anna to sleep. In fact, Kitty himself also wanted to sleep.

After all, his sleeping time followed Dylan.

"Good night, Dylan and Kitty."

"Good night, Sister Anna."

"Meow~."

Anna went back to her apartment while Dylan leaned on the chair and rubbed Kitty’s head and back. Kitty meowed in protest, but Dylan ignored the cat.

He looked into the distance, wondering whether there would be people who would come here again. If there was truly any, he will not show any mercy.

...

Anna headed to the bed.

She thought that she wouldn’t be able to sleep after this incident. But fact proved that she ended up sleeping so well that it was already past 10 Am when she woke up.

Anna looked at the clock on the table with a blank look and then picked up her phone to check. There were some chats from the others. Since they have generator, they all could charge their phone without worry.

The other people in the group was extremely silent.

Without enough electricity, they have no time to spare to be a demon in the chat group or just to gossip around.

Slowly, Anna washed up simply and then made her way out.

Lucy and Mark were already busy moving things around. It seemed that they have been busy from early morning.

"You’re not tired after night guard?" Anna asked.

"No." Lucy shook her head.

"Do you hear any sound yesterday?"

"Sound? Not really." Lucy tilted her head. "The rainstorm is too noisy."

Anna nodded.

With the gun using a silencer, there was no way it could rival the sound made by the rainstorm. If she was not using a silencer, then Lucy and Mark would have gone down yesterday.

But they didn’t.

Should she tell them about the incident yesterday?

Raising her head, Anna saw Dylan was helping Mark in moving the items around and finally decided not to. There was no point in making Lucy and mark worried when the problem has been settled.

"Let me help you move things."

"Are you sure? Go eat breakfast first."

"Ah, right, ok."
