I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 385. Testing
Chapter 385: 385. Testing
"So exaggerated." Dylan shook his head.
Alicia giggled. "They’re really passionate and loved to do research."
"I can see that." Anna stood up after she had finished collecting a large number of potatoes. These were all put in a plastic bags by Professor Ken who treasured each and every single one of them.
"More importantly..." Alicia looked at the large number of potatoes not far from Anna. Professor Black only took three pieces for testing since there were only three places for the test. "Is it fine to produce more than 5 kg of potatoes?"
"Huh?" Anna was confused and looked at the potatoes beside her. These potatoes were large in size and there were more than 40 pieces. Conservative estimation was already 6 to 8 kg of potatoes, which was definitely not easy to make by other people.
Anna herself was already used to make more than 10 kilograms from one plant of potato. But now that Alicia mentioned this... she recalled that one plant of potato didn’t seem to usually yield so many potatoes....
"This..."
"The number of potatoes might be affected by the rank of one’s person ability," Derek said slowly. "There has been an ongoing research about whether there would be mutation to plants after a person of plants’ ability grow them and they’re at a certain rank."
Professor Black’s son’s eyes lit up. "Yes, I’m the one in charge for that research and so far, I don’t find any difference. But yours is really amazing, Miss!"
"It’s just because I have a head start." Anna chuckled and didn’t explain more.
"Let’s go back." Professor Ken handed the bag to Derek and then rushed out. The result should be out soon and he didn’t want to be left behind by his friends.
The others laughed and then walked out to follow. The assistants were all kicked out by the professors and they took their time to return.
Derek looked at Anna and then asked, "Miss, may I ask something?"
"Yes?"
"Do you find this method yourself?" Derek asked.
Anna was confused by his question, but she still answered, "Yes."
"Have you met with Jillian Stafford?"
Jillian Stafford?
Anna naturally knew Jill, Jake’s cousin who had quite the temper but also quite kind and a nice girl. At the very least, she felt that Jill was a person who was true to herself and didn’t allow herself to be wronged.
For such a girl with personality, Anna had to say that she quite admired Jill. Though, there were some bad habits from Jake that Jill also has.
"I know Jill, but I haven’t seen her in a long time."
Derek looked doubtful, but Alicia nudged him from the side. "Didn’t I tell you about the broken engagement before? Anna has been following Dylan all these times and the last time she stayed with those people from Stafford Family is before the apocalypse."
Derek froze when he heard that.
Anna glanced at Dylan, but Dylan only shrugged. "Let’s ignore him and go to the testing room."
The moment they entered the testing room, they heard the cheers from the three professors. The test result had come out. While it was slightly worse than the result from the one potato that Anna gave out before, but all three of them showed significant increase of the dull powder concentration inside.
This meant that Anna’s method was very successful.
All they needed to do was to recruit more people of plant abilities that could urge the plants to grow and then nurtured them well. If this continued, then the number of ability people all over the world will increase significantly!
"Miss Anna! Thank you very much!" Professor Ken laughed while cheering.
Anna also laughed.
She hoped that this little thing would be able to be of help for the other people all over the world. At the very least, this would make sure that they could fight against the giant mutated rats better.
Of course, this kind of help wouldn’t be much.
But Anna just didn’t want to see so much devastation caused by these giant mutated rats like before.
Even if it might not change much.
Besides, there was no harm in telling them something that they would definitely be able to find out in the future by themselves.
"Hahaha."
Alicia looked at Derek, who was also laughing and then smiled. She thought that he was just laughing because he was happy. After all, the three professors were also very happy.
It seemed that many things would change with this.
...
Jake and the other’s side.
"These giant mutated rats’s corpses can’t be exchanged for much?" Jake asked, his tone was not very good.
"My apologies. There has been an attack of giant mutated rats on the base not long ago, so we have abundance of giant mutated rats’ corpses." The person who was asked by Jake could only explain again.
To be honest, even the researchers were quite troubled about what they should use of those giant mutated rats’ corpses. Right now, it was all collected and the giant mutated rats’ corpses that was still in relatively good condition has been cooked in the canteen.
Those who were interested to eat these giant mutated rats’ meat could eat it for a cheap price.
And the best advertisement was that eating giant mutated rats’ meat can help them to advance their ability.
This way, even if many of them were disgusted, they were still willing to give it a try in the end and ate these giant mutated rats’ meat. This way, these giant mutated rats could contribute a bit to their own feed.
But asking them to buy more...
The base did say that they were willing to collect the giant mutated rats’ corpses, but only if they were in good condition and the price was not very high.
Only a few contribution points per kg.
For Jake and the others, these was definitely not enough. It was far from enough for them to live well in City A Base.
