I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 384. Test
Chapter 384: 384. Test
Dylan and Anna has been childhood friends for so long.
And naturally, Dylan knew that Anna didn’t really like the fame because it meant that more people would pay attention to her. While fame was quite good at certain times, but in this period of time, having fame would only sprout more troubles.
Neither Dylan or Anna was keen on having trouble knocking on their door.
So they would rather not have Anna’s name publicized so blatantly. Who knew who would come to their door to make trouble when they knew about Anna’s achievements?
Professor Ken had a look of realization. These professors were all living in the research institute and had long gotten used to have almost no life outside. Of course, those who have families had those who took care of them, but not everyone of them have families.
Some of them were alone.
They were all protected by the base and since they didn’t really have anything of interest out there, they didn’t care too much about their own lives.
But Anna was different.
Even though she had made contribution, she was ultimately still a young woman. She still liked going outside and have fun with the others. She was not like them who would be willing to be holed up in this building and devoted themselves for the sake of research.
Not to mention, her husband is a person from the five leading families.
There might be people who want her life, but since she didn’t seem to be so valuable, they ignored her. And if she suddenly showed such a huge potential, would the other families be indifferent?
It was unlikely.
So Professor Ken understood why Dylan asked for this and why Anna was hesitant before.
"I understand, this can be applied for and then settled very quickly." Professor Ken glanced at Professor Black.
If the three of them were to request this matter, it would be done very quickly. After all, the three of them had high status in the research world. Anyway, it would be better to just made the call for this and then they could see Anna showed the process to them.
"Alright, I’ll settle it."
After that, Professor Black made a phone call to take care of this matter.
Once it was done, they headed to the greenhouse where there were many plants. This was the designated special garden for the research institute for them to do their research. Even if it was rarer, there were also some people with plant abilities who were recruited inside.
Moreover, they even had their members who awakened some abilities.
Those who were already very old didn’t awaken their abilities, but those who were much younger were able to awaken their abilities and thus, they had higher status. Some of them chose to stay and continued their line of work.
After all, it was their passion to do research and finish what they had started.
Some others quit and moved to other work that was more comfortable to them.
The one in charge for the greenhouse was a middle aged man who had plant ability. He was also Professor Black’s son and had an amiable appearance.
"Father, why are you here?" Professor Black’s son was confused when he saw his father. His father rarely went to the garden because he often busy locking himself with the equipment and various other research that he was busy doing.
Thus, Professor Black’s son usually did his research on his own.
"To do an experiment." Professor Black glanced at Derek.
Derek honestly stepped forward and carried the plastic bags containing the corpses of the giant mutated rats that they had collected before.
Anna looked at him in surprise. "Space ability?"
She had seen that the bag appeared out of nowhere. As someone who also has space, Anna was naturally familiar with it.
Derek nodded and then buried these giant mutated rats’ corpses on the edge of one of the plots.
Professor Black’s son looked at Derek’s action and didn’t do anything to stop him. After all, a portion of the plots were already buried with these giant mutated rats’ corpses before. It was for the sake of research after all. If they needed more soil, all they needed to do was ask.
"Is this enough?" Derek asked.
Anna nodded. She stepped forward and took one potato and put it into the soil. She buried it properly before urging her ability.
This time, she focused more on just urging the potato to grow and not to feed it with her power. Thus, the potato was absorbing the essence from the corpses that has been buried in the ground.
The process lasted for a few minutes before the potatoes were fully grown.
"Continuous use of ability for this long..." Derek muttered under his breath. He could see that the potatoes were fully grown. Other people’s plants abilities would never be able to reach this much unless they had fully reached third rank.
And based on how Anna was able to do this with ease, her ability should have been much higher than the ordinary third rank.
"It’s done," Anna said. She could actually make plants much faster, but she didn’t want to reveal the full extent of her abilities. Besides, this time she was urging the potatoes to grow and not just feeding it with her ability.
Thus, it took some time.
"It would have been better if the giant mutated rats’ corpses have rotted and merged with the soil, but for me, it doesn’t matter," Anna said and then dug the ground to take out the other potatoes.
"Go to the testing room!" Professor Black took these potatoes and then headed back.
Professor Ken was also impatient, but he chose to collect the other potatoes first while Professor Len had already run with Professor Black. Their assistant nearly lost their soul when they saw these old men running and quickly helped these old professors so that they would not accidentally hurt themselves.
