I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 315. Encounter
Chapter 315: 315. Encounter
"Anna, did you do something?"
"I was practicing my ability, Uncle," Anna said without looking back, still looking in Old Master Daniels’ location. She was hoping that there would be any sign to tell her that he was fine now and there was nothing wrong.
Time passed quietly.
As seconds by seconds passed, Anna was relieved to see that the amount of vitality escaping Old Master Daniels decreased. At the same time, his pale face looked much better. The rough breathing had also slowly calmed down.
’So, it works.’
Anna heaved a sigh of relief.
After a few more seconds, Anna was unable to see the vitality energy again, but she was not worried. If she couldn’t see them, then it meant Old Master Daniels was in a better condition and no longer on the verge of death.
For her, it was already the best.
Anna turned to look at Butler Henry. "Uncle Henry, Dylan is not back yet?"
"Young Master might be hindered by the snow, Young Madam," Butler Henry tried to reassure Anna.
Hindered by the snow?
The snow was not piling up on the street in the base city because of the salt that they had sprinkled on the ground before. There was no way Dylan would be hindered by the snow outside.
Anna pursed her lips and looked at the window.
Where is Dylan?
...
Dylan’s side.
Dylan first went back to his apartment and took Kitty out. The cat was originally annoyed for being left behind but after Dylan explained to him, he could barely accept it.
"Meow!" You’re not leaving me alone again!
"We’re only planning to go for a short period of time." Dylan’s lips twitched when he saw this annoying cat’s temper flared up again. "You don’t think that I’ll bring you all the time, do you?"
"Meow?" why not?
Kitty glared at Dylan, wanting to tell him that he should always bring him along in his journey. But seeing Dylan’s expression and the fact that he had been locked out in the living room several times, Kitty was annoyed.
"MEOW!" You can’t take Anna for yourself all the time!
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Dylan’s lips twitched slightly as he picked the cat up. He felt that the cat was really annoying and made him want to toss him out. But in the end, Dylan only put the cat on his shoulder as he walked out of his apartment.
He frowned slightly. "Did you gain weight?"
"MEOW!" I’m not!
"You’re getting bigger and heavier." Dylan looked at Kitty with a thoughtful expression. He felt that these so called mutation that happened to the animals were really amazing. Most of the mutated animals he had seen before are all bigger than the usual size.
Even Kitty was like these mutated animals, getting bigger and bigger. By now, Kitty was already pretty big but there were still some cats at his size in normal times. But if this continued, it was estimated that Kitty’s size would continue to increase until there was no chance for him to be categorized as normal animal again.
"Meow?" Kitty raised his paw, wondering whether he should test his strength again or not. After practicing with Dylan for a long time, he believed that he had grown stronger!
"We’re going to my grandfather’s place. He’s trying to awaken his ability." Dylan pursed his lips. "If not because you’re outside, I don’t want to go at all."
"Meow!" You’re the one who didn’t bring me in the first place!
Kitty was protesting, refusing the pot that was thrown to him, while Dylan only rolled his eyes. He continued to walk on the street, picking up his pace to return as fast as possible. He had no plan to run all the time to go back.
Even if his physique had increased, he didn’t want to tire himself out and show the improvement in his ability to others.
After all, those whose ability increased also have their physical strength increased slightly in accordance. In this way both him and Anna had grown much stronger during this period of time.
But reality couldn’t keep up with the plan.
When he entered the central area, he saw a pair of siblings were walking in his direction. He recognized the two of them as the two children from Mason Family. When they were young, they had interacted for a period of time, but they were not close to each other.
"Dylan?" the man asked thoughtfully.
"Sean?" Dylan asked back, not entirely sure. He only remembered that the name seemed to be something like this.
"Yes, it’s me." The man, Sean, answered with a laugh. "I thought that you didn’t want to stay in the central area and have position in the base?"
Uncle Darien asked him privately whether he wanted to stay with him and work for the base. But for Dylan, he would rather stay outside and be with Anna rather than working for the base like his uncle.
Anyway, he didn’t have many capabilities that the base needed, so he would rather stay outside and accompany Anna as much as possible.
"I was paying a visit to my uncle," Dylan replied.
"I see." Sean nodded and then glanced at his sister. He pointed at her and said, "This is my sister, Sana, if you remember."
"It’s been a while, Miss Sana," Dylan greeted.
"It’s indeed been a while." Sana smiled back in response to Dylan. She didn’t really remember much about Dylan, though. They didn’t have much interaction in the past.
"Well, I should get going if you’re busy?" Dylan looked at Sean again, not sure about what to talk about with him.
"Okay. If you have time, come and pay me a visit. There might be other things to talk about later." Sean nodded and waved at Dylan.
Dylan nodded and continued to walk away. Kitty looked at these two and also waved his front paw, which made the two smile and waved back.
