Chapter 305. Talking
Chapter 305: 305. Talking
The other notable thing was that the number of awakened people no longer increased much. At most, there would be 1 to 10 people who would awaken their abilities and reported it. Some of them were reported automatically because they awakened when they were in the hospital. The others specifically came to report and received the reward.
Time passed quietly.
The plants in the greenhouse was a lot and Anna used her ability to accelerate their growth every day.
Because of this, they kept on making a trip from the base to the small farm outside. This made them wanted to stay here instead of going back to the base, but Dylan was not entirely sure about what his grandfather and uncle would say when he proposed it.
The two of them would definitely be worried for him.
Even if they hoped that he would be able to live independently, they couldn’t possibly ignore him at all. So when he was still in the base, it was easy for him to contact his grandfather and uncle when there was something that happened.
But if they were to live outside, it meant that they might not be able to contact the people in the base.
So, the two of them planned to discuss it with these two.
They went to the central area and found that the atmosphere was a bit tense. It seemed that the political struggle between the five leaders were heating up and the situation was not very peaceful.
Dylan frowned slightly, but he didn’t try to get involved.
He knew himself very well.
If he were to get involved in their battles, his uncle would have to spare more effort to protect him. That uncle of his never liked it when he meddled in the other party’s business either.
"Don’t get far away from me," Dylan reminded.
"I know." Anna nodded.
This time, Kitty is not present as he was staying in their apartment. After all, he didn’t really like to walk on the salty snow below. It felt rather strange for his paw to touch those rough salt that was scattered on the ground.
Oh right, Kitty was also growing stronger.
Eating the vegetables from Anna, even though Kitty didn’t like it, had allowed him to increase in strength faster too. Coupled with his own natural growth, which seemed to be faster than human, he was already very strong by now.
They encountered two more wild boars on the hill and both of them were solved by Kitty himself.
This time, Kitty didn’t need other people’s help because his claw was more than enough to settle the problem of these wild boar coming to get them. For this, Kitty was so proud that Dylan had to diss him again.
Of course, since Kitty was the one who killed the wild boar, he was still given a lot of the meat part.
This made Kitty very happy and also excited to hunt the wild boar.
Because only in this way he didn’t have to eat so many vegetables handed to him by Anna. These wild boars tasted much better than the vegetables.
The rest of the meat naturally went to Dylan and Anna’s stomach.
After they had finished building their small place back then, Mark and Lucy went back to their work, so the four of them hadn’t gathered again for weeks. Each of them were busy with their own activities and didn’t have time to take care about others.
"I have already told Grandfather about us coming," Dylan said after checking his phone to make sure that Butler Henry read his message. "He will prepare more food."
"Has Grandfather got better?" Anna asked.
Dylan nodded and said, "It seems that Grandfather has been living quite well during this period of time."
"It’s good." Anna sighed.
She looked at the snow around her and felt rather melancholic.
It was already June, but the temperature was still so cold like this as if the nature was challenging them and didn’t let them to live in peace.
For this matter, Anna could only sigh.
In just half a year, the world had undergone massive change. What could be said to be the norm in the past had long disappeared and what was left was the things that most people would have never thought in their entire life.
It was really remarkable.
But also very tragic.
Because countless people never had the chance to see the ending of this world and could only be buried deeply in the land.
"We’re here."
"Yes."
The two of them knocked the door and naturally Butler Henry came to welcome them. He seemed to be very happy to see the two of them.
"Uncle Henry, does Uncle have a lot of rest during this period of time?" Dylan asked, concerned about another matter. With the workload of his uncle, it was estimated that Uncle Darien would almost not have any rest at all.
As expected, Butler Henry sighed. "Young Master, it’s not possible for Master to take a lot of rest in this period of time."
"Is there any difficulties?" Dylan asked again.
Difficulties?
There were a lot of them.
But Butler Henry knew that it was not appropriate for him to be the one to speak about this matter to Dylan, so he could only sigh.
"Young Master, you should ask Master about this."
"Fine." Dylan could only nod helplessly. He knew that Butler Henry was unwilling to tell him more, so he could only try his luck to ask his uncle later.
"Master will come back in a few minutes."
"He’ll come back early today?" Dylan was surprised. He thought that his uncle had to work overtime or something.
"It’s already afternoon and Master had some other things to do today," Butler Henry replied.
Dylan nodded and didn’t say anything more.
The two of them took off their coat and then walked to the living room. There was not much change in the current place from what they had remembered before
