"Are you serious about the investment?" Dylan asked as they made their way back to the apartment.

"Why not?" Anna asked back.

"Do you trust me so much?" Dylan asked back, his eyes were staring straight at Anna. They were on their way back and the lamps on the side of the roads had been turned on, allowing them to see each other clearly.

Anna felt her heart thumped. She looked back at Dylan and smiled. "Why not? I have known you for a long time."

"Is that all?" Dylan continued to ask.

Anna pursed her lips and continued to walk in steady pace. In the end, she chose to change the topic of conversation, "Do you not want to stay in the base?"

"I want to stay here." Dylan chuckled. "But I also want to have certain guarantee in my hand to ensure my safety."

Ensure his safety.

Anna looked at Dylan for a moment and nodded. It doesn’t feel good to have one’s life and death be in the hands of others. One would want to have their own destiny to be placed in their hand. But the way to reach that would be to have enough power on their own.

To be honest, she had thoughts of killing Betty back in the apartment back then due to how annoying that woman was. But in the end, she didn’t do it.

Her relationship with the Williams Family was very bad but not the point where they couldn’t stand each other. If she had killed Betty, they would know that Betty had died in the apartment and their suspicion would be placed on her.

If Betty had no background, Anna would have no scruples.

But she had her family behind her. Her death would only make her relationship with Williams Family reached the point where they would never allow her to stay alive at all.

They have three people outside who might have already made their name and created their own power.

Dylan nodded thoughtfully.

"Are you still exercising?"

"Yep, I’m still quite active in exercising," Anna replied. She raised her hand and make a strong posture. "By now, I’m already much stronger than how I used to be."’

Dylan looked at Anna’s gesture and smiled gently. He could see from her activity back in the building that Anna was indeed much stronger than before. There was no gym in their current apartment, but Anna might have enough equipment herself.

He didn’t pay so much attention to it.

"Sister Anna, if you want to, we can exercise together~."

"Aren’t you busy with other things?" Anna asked back and shook her head. "If you want to open up the land and earn a lot of money, you will have to work hard."

"I will." Dylan chuckled.

The two of them continued to talk with each other as they made their way to the apartment. The current base was not bad but the undercurrent was also very annoying. Anna would not be involved if she stayed away from Dylan, but she was unwilling to do that.

So, she knew that she might have involved herself in something annoying.

"Anna, you’re back."

Hearing this voice, Anna turned her head to the front while Dylan’s expression darkened slightly. He looked to the front where their apartment was located and saw Ethan and Coho who carried some supplies. Their car was parked at the front of the apartment and there were also other people with them.

Looking at their young appearance, Anna guessed that they were her classmates. However, she didn’t know most of them. They might have come from different grades or different classes.

After all, she didn’t know everyone from her school.

"Well." Anna nodded and intended to pass by.

"Anna, we’re all going to go out tomorrow to collect more supplies," Ethan quickly said when he saw Anna was about to go. "Do you want to come with us?"

Come with them?

Anna arched her eyebrows and looked at the few people who came with Ethan. Their team had more than 10 people and Anna didn’t know most of their names.

"No thanks, I can go by myself."

Ethan frowned. "We’re all classmates and..."

"Sorry, we’re not close with each other." Anna stopped Ethan from saying so much. "I can take care of myself and didn’t need you to deal with it."

"That’s..." Ethan wanted to argue more.

"Just leave her be," a female from the car shouted. "There are already enough people in our team and we don’t want to support idler."

"Yeah! Come on, we still have to go to the other apartments."

"You don’t have to ask others to join us..."
