Chapter 207. A Break
Chapter 207: 207. A Break
After thinking for a while, Anna still couldn’t think about what did she miss.
She chose not to think too much and went to her bed while putting the air conditioner to the lowest temperature possible. The temperature outside at night was still very hot and Anna felt uncomfortable.
But right now, there were so many people who felt uncomfortable, so Anna could only try her best to endure this feeling as much as possible.
Time passed quietly.
The next day, Anna went to Dylan’s apartment after breakfast.
"Sister Anna." Dylan smiled brightly. "Is there anything to do today?"
"Yes." Anna chuckled. "Setting up the anti theft door."
Dylan remembered the promise and nodded. "Right away, Sister~."
Anna coughed when she heard Dylan’s coquettish tone. For some reasons, his voice sounded really good in her ear.
Dylan brought the tools and started working with Anna accompanying him while putting the large fan on the corridor. It might be early, but the temperature was by no means cool. Rather, it was still relatively hot.
It was totally not like early morning at all.
"This is still Williams’ Family’s door?" Dylan asked casually when he saw the brand on the door.
"Ah, yeah." Anna nodded.
Most of the items in her space all belonged to Williams Family because she took them from her father’s warehouse. She had to say that the warehouse was indeed very complete and almost everything was there.
Only some items were not present.
Some items such as raw food definitely didn’t have obvious brand and her father didn’t produce them. At most, he was the distributor for his mall. So there were many places with the same brand existed.
But for some other products, her father produced them themselves. Their quality was between ordinary to good, which was what her mother supervised before. One of these products was these doors.
So Dylan should be able to recognize the brand after reading the name.
As one of the few young people who wanted to become a businessman, Dylan was naturally very familiar with other people’s brand and some other projects in the city.
If he wanted to develop, he had to know the current market well.
"I see."
Dylan looked at the door again and then didn’t say anything as he worked.
Anna watched him working while making sure the fan would always land in his direction, that way, it wouldn’t be too hot for him.
Thankfully, it didn’t take a long time for him to set the anti theft door.
"It’s done." Dylan put away his tools in satisfaction. "Key?"
"Here." Anna handed the key to Dylan with a smile.
"Thanks." Dylan grinned after receiving the key from Anna. He played with the key for a moment and then said, "The solar panel now?"
"Yes. Let me bring Kitty to accompany you."
"Are you sure that that cat will be willing to?"
"Yep."
Anna went to Dylan’s apartment and saw Kitty lounging on the sofa. When Kitty saw her, he meowed but still didn’t move from there.
Anna chuckled and carried Kitty up. The cat didn’t struggle at all and lied there comfortably.
Dylan saw Kitty lazy look: "..."
He should have expected that this cat will accept almost everything Anna asked him to do. He shook his head and then pointed at Anna’s apartment. "Shall we enter now?"
"Yeah."
With the experience of almost finishing the solar panel before, Dylan worked quickly this time. The solar panel was connected to the appliances in Anna’s room and soon, it was done.
The two of them have lunch together and then spent the rest of the day with their own activity.
Anna looked at her plants, do some exercise to strengthen herself with the tools from her space that she temporarily took out, and then practiced to clean up the medicine bottles once again.
The day passed by quietly.
The next day, it was the same for Anna. The recruitment for soldiers were in a hall where ordinary people couldn’t see, so she didn’t bother to take a look. She was staying in her apartment, trying to figure out a way to replenish her so called mental strength.
Meditation?
Sorry, she would fall asleep if she was asked to sit without doing nothing at all.
Emptying one’s mind was not something that Anna knew how to do.
She tried to browse some novels to find some ideas, but feel that in most of the novels she read, it was either they had already known the method or it was something from their past life.
None of them tried to create it themselves.
Anna: QAQ
Even more outrageous was those who just picked the zombie core. There were no zombies here and Anna didn’t wish for there to be any. If her friends or those whom she knew turned into zombies, how could she kill them?
It was painful.
"It seems unrealistic."
Anna sighed and looked at other fantasy novel. There were some that said there was some mental training through looking at picture...
But that kind of picture was said to be rare.
Anna looked at the novels in her phone and felt that it was very unreliable.
Or it was more like, she was unreliable.
The day was spent with Anna tossing around and finally giving up, only practicing her so called mental strength through cleaning the medicine before putting them into her space again. The dirty bucket was also thrown to the bathroom.
And at night, there was noises in their chat group.
...
The Cool Chat Group
Lucy: @Dylan, @Anna, me and Mark have passed the test. Hehehehehe, we’ll move out tonight.
Anna: Congratulations!
Anna: [cat cheering.jpg]
Lucy: [laughing emoji] When there’s a chance, I’ll bring you and Dylan out to the lake later!
Anna: Ok!
Dylan: Take care you two, it’s not going to be easy there.
Mark: We will. You should take care too and don’t go out of the base too often. There are a lot of fights out there.
