Chapter 192. Chatting
Chapter 192: 192. Chatting
Anna heard his tone and always felt that he was tempting her on purpose. Didn’t he know how cute his voice is if he made such tone? It was really hard to reject the request of such a cutie!
"Okay." Anna chuckled.
"We can go out again tomorrow if you want to," Dylan added.
"Do you have any plan to go out?"
"Well, our plan tomorrow was to check the other places to find some food. After all, even if we have enough food now, it’ll be fine to get more," Dylan replied.
Anna thought about it and nodded in agreement. She agreed with Dylan’s words very much. If they have a lot of food in their apartment, it’ll be good to have more if it was possible.
"Before that, how about if we install a door in our apartment’s corridor like what we did in our apartment before?" Anna asked.
"Do you want to install one?" Dylan arched his eyebrows.
The base should be relatively safe. But after seeing these robbers who dared to blatantly ignore the law on the road, Dylan no longer felt so confident.
Anna also felt the same and didn’t feel so safe for leaving her food in her home without anyone guarding. At the very least, an anti theft door would make it more difficult for them to enter.
If they still tried, the noise would attract others nearby if they were not skilled in opening key door like Mark.
Uh, speaking about Mark, Anna felt that Mark felt like a thief now.
That skill was definitely not something that ordinary people would learn in their lives.
"Yeah. If we’re planning to stay in the base for a long period of time, having a safe home would be better," Anna replied.
"I agreed." Dylan nodded.
"Good. I have one door in my apartment." Anna heaved a sigh of relief.
She has an anti theft door?
Dylan blinked his eyes, feeling rather strange about it. Did they take any anti theft door from the furniture store back then? Then again, he didn’t exactly check everything and it was possible for Anna to bring it for herself and carry it into her apartment before others.
After all, some furniture stores did have these doors.
Though, he didn’t exactly remember.
When they took the furniture from the mall, there were a lot of people who were roaming around the mall and it would be strange to check everything they brought. He only saw that there were some tables and chair, which was something they needed.
He didn’t pay attention to the others.
But no matter how Dylan felt that it was a bit strange, he tried to rationalized it in his mind.
"Ok, let’s install it after we go back later."
"Does Mark and Lucy need one?" Anna was about to ask these two and saw that the video call was disconnected. She blinked her eyes. "When did the call stop?"
"I terminated it not long ago," Dylan replied and then clicked the phone to call again.
It took a short moment before the video call was connected.
"Why did you terminate the call?" Mark’s voice came from the phone.
"I have something to ask Sister Anna."
"Oh?" Mark arched his eyebrows. But looking at the two of them, there didn’t seem to be anything different. He shrugged and didn’t care too much. Anyway, just now, he also talked about a few things with Lucy.
"Mark, do you want any anti theft door?" Dylan asked.
"No need," Mark replied. "The assessment will be in three days and I have just received the news from my family. I’ll have to dissembled the door again in three days and it would take too much time."
"So fast? I thought that it would take much longer for the assessment to take place." Anna felt at loss when she heard that they would have the assessment to become soldiers so soon.
Lucy chuckled. "Don’t worry, even if we become soldiers, you’re still welcome to pay a visit to us."
"And when I got there, I found out that you’re away on mission."
"Hahahahha!"
They laughed.
"You can message me first." Lucy grinned. "And after we enter, we’ll arrange for a time to pay a visit to that lake and search for some fishes."
"Didn’t they say that the fishes are strange and not recommended to eat?" Anna’s lips twitched when she heard Lucy’s words. She could still remember the warning for them not to eat the fishes.
"Tsk." Lucy clicked her tongue. "I’m more curious about how they would taste if they did change."
Anna: "..."
Did you repress your desire to eat so much that now you want to eat anything that was strange?
Mark raised one of his hand and knocked on Lucy’s forehead. "Don’t take your life lightly. If there’s something dangerous and you’re poisoned, others will be worried for you."
Lucy stuck out her tongue naughtily. "Alright, alright."
*sigh*
Mark sighed and shook his head.
"Since you’re going to go in three days, do you want to go out tomorrow for the last time?" Dylan asked.
He was originally thinking about taking a one day break before going out again. But if Mark wanted to participate in the assessment in three days, then it would be impossible for them to go the day after tomorrow.
After all, Mark would want to rest the day after tomorrow so that he would perform to his best during the assessment.
"For the last time?" Mark arched his eyebrows and then nodded. "I’ll clean some fuels for tomorrow’s use, then."
"Then I’ll leave it to you for the filter." Dylan grinned.
With someone doing the work, he wouldn’t be polite and accepted it well. Anyway, he wanted to do other things today, so he might not have the time to prepare enough for tomorrow.
"I’ll help," Lucy said from the side. "I have been curious how to filter these fuels."
"It might take some time, so you can also do other things," Mark replied. "I’m going to borrow the barrel from the base to do it."
