Chapter 187. Heading to the Factory

Chapter 187: 187. Heading to the Factory

Though, Anna honestly doubted that there would be a reasonable explanation for flood that suddenly come up and disappeared.

"You want to give it to the base?"

"Well, give them something to do. The oil stored underground here is a lot, but they need to be processed first," Dylan replied.

If the oil didn’t need to be reprocessed, he was sure that this factory would have been the sweet pastry in the eyes of many people out there. After all, they have been fighting in that gas station before.

"Ok."

They quickly came out using the same way as before.

Their flashlight was very useful as it allowed them to see more things forward. But at the same time, it made them see how dirty this place was.

When they came out, they saw Lucy was sitting inside the truck, leaning on the dashboard. She looked very bored.

Well, there was nothing that she could do but to wait, so she was indeed bored.

"You’re finally back." Lucy looked at her friends who returned and felt happy. She finally realized how boring it was to wait by the car. But if there was no one who wait by the car, there was a chance that someone might want to steal their belongings.

So far, they hadn’t encountered any.

But it didn’t mean there was none.

For precaution, it would be better for them to arrange someone to stay near the car in case of any emergency.

"Yep. We’ll put these bags first."

"Ok."

Lucy saw the stack of things that they carried with them and then stretched her hand lightly. "Let me help to bring them."

"Yeah."

They moved quickly to put these things into the truck. Looking at the truck that was not even half full, it was amazing.

"We’re still going to the factory after this. The raw iron might take a lot of space." Dylan looked at the truck.

"Let me push them to the back." Lucy entered the truck and pushed their bags to the back one by one. Some of the bags were heavy while the others were relatively light. "There are not many bags left. The rest are mostly plastic bags."

"It’s fine. We don’t need bags to carry those later if there are still some in the warehouse. Of course, first we need to check whether there are still some raw materials available," Dylan replied.

"Ok."

The others entered the car and truck quickly and then rushed towards the factory. They still chose the big road like before because they were worried that the small road would be blocked.

Even now, only around half of the big road could be passable with car.

The others were blocked with various thing such as a block of concrete that who knew came from where, wreckage of car, and many others. The effect of the flood back then was obvious and many things were thrown here and there.

It didn’t look good at all.

Thankfully, the road towards the factory was still possible. But it was a bit hard to turn around in such a narrow road.

"We’re here." Dylan looked at the factory in front of him and furrowed his eyebrows. The land around the factory was filled with various wreckage. Some of them even stuck to the wall of the building itself.

Mark also stopped.

They came down from their cars and looked at the building in front of them.

"Split up?" Mark asked.

Dylan looked at the others and nodded. "Be careful and one stay with the car."

"I’ll stay." Lucy frowned and looked at the wreckage. They were not piled up carefully but it was caused by the current of flood water back then. Looking at it now, she was a bit worried that it would fall down. "Don’t stand below these things if possible. Try to stay as far away as possible."

"Got it."

They went their separate ways after telling each other to be careful.

Their goal was the warehouse, but Anna looked at the big factory in front of her and had a thoughtful expression. She silently made her way to the factory itself and looked inside.

To be honest, a factory is like a sealed area after it was locked. In order to ensure that there wouldn’t be anything leaked out, aside from the ventilation, the others would be locked away.

So the water that entered could only enter through the ventilation.

The dirt was mostly concentrated in one area and there was still water inside.

Anna blinked her eyes and looked at the machine that was soaked with water and shook her head. These machines wouldn’t be usable again after being soaked in water and all. The loss of the owner of these factories would be in billions.

These machines were by no means cheap.

After that, Anna made her way towards the other places while carefully moving forward. She avoided the unstable wreckage and slowly made her way to the other building. Looking inside, she realized that this was one of the processing room.

But processing what?

She didn’t know.

Her knowledge for these things were still very low and Anna looked at the map that was barely visible. It was laminated, so the paper could still be read after Anna wiped the mud on the surface.

She read the writing and realized that this was the tank room.

It meant, there was an oil tank below.

Anna looked down thoughtfully and slowly crouched down and put her hand on the ground. Even if it felt a bit gross and dirty to touch these dirt and muddy water that was mixed with who knows what, Anna tried her best to think about the oil tank below.

With thought, she felt that she could faintly feel it in the distance and slowly poured them into her own space, a separate area.

The oil came up.

Anna looked at the oil inside her space and blinked her eyes. She was no expert, but she had the faint feeling that these two oil was different. At the very least, it felt that way.
